  1. If you build your own, then you will use a Form 1 and, even though the receiver with have the original manufacturers info engraved on it you will need to engrave you name, city and state into it. Although expensive, a Arsenal 107CR or 107UR is the easiest way to build a kick ass SBR on your own. As for grandfathering, when you pass you can do a one time free transfer to an heir. This is done on a Form 5. But, think long term. If you want your kids to end up with it, then the trust route with them in it might be best/easiest.
  2. Do these really work most of my stuff is bolt action and scoped? Seems too good to be true.... I have used them for years. They work great! They will support my Barrett M99 so you shouldn't have any issue. They allowed me a few years of time/space to save a up the $$$ for a large Sturdy Safe. BTW, their handgun hangers work awesome for suppressors to.
  3. Sorry, you fill out a 4473 every time you buy a gun from an FFL. If you have never been denied there, you won't have any problem. On the "individual" or "trust" route, you need to decide how the NFA item will be registered. I have always gone the individual route as I don't have a wife or kids that want access to the items. Also, my CLEO is super cool about signing anything. So, others here can fill you in on how/why you might want to go the trust route but I do know that after you set up your trust anyone named on the trust can legally take the item out and use it and you don't need a
  4. A couple years ago member RobRez organized one on his property in Montana. Unfortunately I was busy with work and could not attend :-(
  5. If your record is clean like you say (you've never been denied on any other 4473) and your state allows the ownership of what you want, then you are gtg. One hang up, if filing as an "individual" might be your CLEO signing off on your paperwork. In that case, form a trust and you can bypass that step. Do it!
  6. Before you buy another safe, google "store more guns" or "rifle rods" (same thing). You might find that you can fit them all in plus some.
  7. I agree with Cobra, they did a huge disservice to these guns by welding that hideous looking phoenix flame breacher onto the muzzle.
  8. Well shit, there goes a few hundred dollars. Any way to mod these for use with a V12?
  9. I am glad I don't live in an area where I have to deal with this stupid shit. If I did, all I would say is, "Bring it motherfuckers."
  10. Fuck yeah! Welcome back PapaZ! We've missed you.
  11. Sorry to hear about your loss. I know your pain. Its brutal. For me, time was the best healer. Getting there is tough. Good luck. Prayers sent.
  12. Well on that note, I just bought a truck load of blank dies and we now have our cnc wire EDM and all the presses and I just picked up a 20 KVA miller spot welder. Can anyone guess where this is heading? Bullpup stocks for Boba?
  13. To bad SaigaTechUSA/RamLake/Ray was booted. He once started a thread on how to do this. He even tried to get it stickied. But, for whatever reason, it never was. You can get a thread where everyone shits on some guy's tacticooled gun stickied but not some useful info like how to install a 100 series folder onto a S12. (eyes roll)
  14. I'm not right then. I literally bought a new truck with the money I made after Newtown. Free market and all that.
  15. Standing in front of the fan and not having a way to clean up or disinfect.
  16. Welcome back. Hope everything is well with you. If you ever want to play with some SBS'd S12s and are near Fort Harrison give me a ring.
  17. Honestly, I haven't shot a lot lately. I have about 100 rounds through it. Admittedly, that's not much of a test. Don't know if Robert beefed up the threaded area as mine is cut down at the threads. As for the price, when your original op rod is FUBAR and your $2k gun is an inoperable POS, the cost is pretty much insignificant.
  18. The first asshole that says Ruger Red Label needs to get throat punched.
  19. I was on it for about six months. It was neat to catch up with some old friends and see where some acquaintances have ended up thus far in life. But, then it became too much fucking drama. Someone "unliked" someone else's thing or someone didn't accept a friend request and the butthurt would flow. I got tired of arguing about gun rights with assholes I didn't even know (and this was pre-Newtown). In the end it was just way too much fucking drama. Besides that they "lost" my password info. I requested that they permanently delete my account (I'm suuuuure they did). I'm better off w
  20. Roundup is out there for sure. The Main Street is like a ghost town but there are some neat areas around there.
  21. Thanks for posting. The 433a mag confusion has been debated here to no end. Also, I don't think you need to cut the "U" out of the back in order to work.
