  1. That's not entirely true, CATS kill / maim just for the hell of it. Which is one reason why shooting......Well, never mind...... -Guido in TX If a cat kills or maims and does not consume the prey it is because of the instinctual need to hunt. The only reason it does not eat what it kills is because it is probably well fed and is simply hunting for practice. I stand by my statement that only humans kill for no reason.
  2. Here is a little phrase that my daughter would hear on the rare times she behaved that way. "Put some gratitude in your attitude."
  3. I hear you Chile and I understand where you are coming from. However, If said scumbag can be stopped without taking their lives that should be the first and optimum solution to the threat. I guess my thinking all comes down to the "animal" reference. Animals just don't display these traits. Only humans kill for no reason.
  4. Unter mensch in German.Yeah, I know, that came to mind and the historical context came to mind also. But I would consider the kid in SC who shot up the prayer group the same way. as well as the asshole who recently Shot up the the Planned Parenthood. Murder is not he way to resolve differences regardless of the race. Any one who kills another human being for any reason other than defending their own life or the life of others is exibiting sub-human behavior. I guess I just have a tremendous respect for critters and don't want to see them associated with the heartless cruelty exihib
  5. We keep referring to these perpetrators as animals and I don't think that's fair to the animal kingdom. Animals don't kill for no reason. We need to find a better term. Sub-human comes to mind.
  6. Raisin the kids, home schooling and an author. She sounds like a hell of a woman Chile. Congrats to her and congrats to you for marrying her.
  7. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Chile and to all of my forum brothers.
  8. Even if the prick did escape he was so racked with disease that he would not have lasted more than another year.
  9. Given the Chambers Brothers post I thought I'd throw this into the mix: Whoa - Far out man! You're clearly an original Hippy. Five stars for the song, and one for your original hippyness. Six stars ******! Mike
  10. Gary, your taste in upgrades and improvements to your collection is remarkable. I'm always impressed with your posts of your weapons.
  11. I was at one of my LGS when a lady at the counter who was obviously buying her first gun hesitated at the drug use question. The guy behind the counter didn't skip a beat. He reached down behind the counter and handed her a cup and said to go into the bathroom, they would need a sample. She stuttered something about marijuana in her youth and was visibly flustered till the guy smiled and told her he was just joking.
  12. With the set up you described I would recommend an independent battery for your trolling motor and use the cranking battery For your gas start up battery and accessories.
  13. I'll second Long Shot on the Deep Cycle Marine Batteries. There are several makes. Go for the best you can afford. I had three batteries on my boat. One for the front trolling motor, one for the rear trolling motor and one for the electronics. My local lakes are electric motor only. I had the rear motor locked straight and would steer with the front foot control motor. I had a switch up front that I could use to kick the back motor on. Two 55 pound thrust mottos going simultaneously would Push that little 15 foot boat pretty fast. Also I would strongly recommend an on board chargin
  14. Really hoping this is my last winter up north. I like Chile's idea of how to spend the winter months!
  15. Happy Birthday Saiga lady. Hope you and Shannon are doing something special.
  16. Yep.... Ditto. Makes me think of my old pappy. He's about to the end of it right now. I can't be there every day and I know he's feeling pretty lonely. Been there long shot and I feel for you. If your old man is anything like mine was he understands your first priority is to your wife and kids and he's proud of you for that. Prayers out to you and your Dad.
  17. First thought: Props to you for the work you are doing to educate our youth about bad decisions. Second thought: WTF investigators? Didn't think to pop open the glove box and take a look?
  18. I agree with SGL. The Russian made Saiga's will always be the gold standard of the AK platform. I would hold on to those. Whatever you decide to do I wish you the best.
