  1. \ My hammer wasn't big enough, so I had to cut mine off... I think I really screwed up putting the new FSB/FH combo on my rifle. I was 3/4 on and reheated the FSB and put the hammer to it. Guess I was a little frustrated that that last few mm was being difficult. Results:
  2. Delete, Sorry, just read the sub-forum rules... Spoon
  3. Duracaoat makes a spray finish that is "parkerized" color. Looks good on Aks, from personal experience. Spoon
  4. DOH! You are correct, I mean .6 inches and .7 inches I hate your "standard" measurement system. Millimeters please I was able to remove the original FSB tonight with the help of a small hacksaw blade. The internal dimensions of the NEW FSB/Flash hider is 14mm and the outside barrel dimension is 17 or 17.5...hard to tell.

  6. I have a 22" Saiga that I want to put a muzzle device on. the particular device has an internal Diameter of around 6mm on my calipers. The outside barrell dimensions (as best I can tell, I got the pins out, but not the FSB removed completely)are around 7.5mm. 1. Can I remove that much barrel material under the FSb without damaging the gun? 2. I don't have access to power tools to turn the barrel...what methid would be best for alternatives? Spoon
  7. this and this Utah shoot information: http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=6625.msg61166;topicseen#msg61166 If you can't make it to that one, get about 15-20 people interested and then contact the Appleseed people, they'll bring one to you. There is no excuse if you want to learn how to shoot! I can hit 10" plates at 200 meters with my 22 and 16 ' barreled Saigas, thanks to the training and education I received in the Aplleseed program. 8. It's actually a Nike Dri-Fit in "Urban Camo", but my crappy 10 year old second hand 1.2 mega pixel camera doesn't always do things justice. It also adds like 20lbs (or so they say) LOL
  9. Had a liitle fun today,e ven in the rain... The trigger slap killed me by the 4th stage. Can't wait to get this one converted like the 16".
  10. This thread is uselss without pics!
  11. Do you have details as to the trigger linkage? I am considering doing this to my 22" .308 I love bullpups, ever sinced I owned my first Bushmaster M17S Need one in .308 without shelling out $2K for a KelTec. Spoon
  12. Okay, so I haver a 16" that has been converted and while I like it A LOT, I really would like to make the package a little more compact by adding a folding stock. Is there another option besides the ACE? I've searched as best possible here and on the interweb, but mostly I get referred back to the ACE. I have a 21" as well now, so I want the 16" as a "packable" option and the 21" as my main battle rifle (once converted). Thanks for your input, Spoon
  13. Here's a couple of me last year at one of our Tac Rifle matches sporting my 16"...Saiga that is. Spoon
  14. I need two, one for the 16" and one for the new 21"
  15. Armchair Tactical is my company. I was a vendor here for a short time, but volume issues led me to pull the plug, even though the fees for being a vendor are really reasonable here. If you need gear and vestguy can't fill your needs, please let me know. I would love to return as a vendor here, if the volume was there to at least support itself. Spoon
  16. This website/idea is in it's infancy and we have truly just begun. The idea is to capitalize on the Tea Party momentum and energy and give people a another place to concentrate their energy and activity. http://www.reclaimingtheconstitution.org/index.html Please feel free to help us change or grow. Please take note of the "immediate needs" section on volunteers needed for the site. Thanks, Spoon
  17. It's so bad I almost can't tell it. About 5 years ago, I got the VEPR bug. I searched high and low, etc. Finally got one with 5 extra mags, etc. pretty good deal at the time. Took it to the range and couldn't hit shit with it. Really disappointing (at the time more likely me than the gun, BTW). Took it to a fun show and traded it for a 1st gen Glock 17 and 150.00 D'Oh!
  18. I'd be in for one. I don't want to thread my barrell.
  19. Neither (at least I hope I didn't piss someone off). I am still in business, but times are tough and the fees here on the forum where not being justified by the amount fo traffic it was generating. Let me say this: the fees for being a vendor at Saiga 12 are the lowest and most fair I have ever encountered on the net-but in the end, I have to stay alive and the orders just weren't there to keep things afloat. I am still making gear and you can contact me here via PM or email or at www.armchairtactical.com Thanks for inquiring. Spoon
  20. First, I wouold say that a gift should be as much for the receiver as possible, so if you being given a gift, I would think the person giving it to you would want you to have whatever you desire. That being said, I can't really see a clear advantage of the AR over the Saiga .308. I own both and have used both in out local tactical rifle matches. I was faster with the AK and accuracy was a non issue as we only have one stage beyond 25 meter distance. That stage proved the undoing of my match, but not because the gun. Somehow, i sighted in about 2" high and 1" right at 100, so when I str
  21. I'll take 4 for testing and review, if they are the same price (or reasonably close) to the Surefire price. Especially if you can actually put 20 rounds in it and it still function. My surefires can only be loaded to 23 rounds for relaibe function and the FBMG about 17... I don't want or need the BHO. The peep hole would be great-one around the 10 round mark would be nice as well if it won't degrade the integrity of the body, feed or function. Steel followers for my other (4) mags would be great. My only hope is that you will actually able to produce these babies and get them
  22. I have a newly acquired MAADI MISR-10 built byMAADI in Egypt imported by Century. The front sight base and Gas Block are actually straight. I have not fired the gun, but it is in great shape. I intended to pair this with my Saiga.308, but ammo prices are forcing me to limit calibers, so the 7.62X39 has to go. Comes with 1 30 round Magazine. $650.00 Shipped/$600.00 FTF in Alabama I Accept USPS Money Order or cash (FTF). Your FFL must accept shipments from an individual. Lower 48 States only. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaai at bnuyers expense. Post an I'll ta
  23. Your answer was kind of vague...do you think I should go with the MOJO? LOL Spoon
  24. I recently ran my 16" Saiga .308 in a Tactical Rifle/Carbine Match. The carbine did great, except on the long range stage, which is a combo of not being sighted in properly (my fault-was a little high and right) and the simple sights of the AK weapons platform. So I am thinking of changing the sights out for a little better performance. For the front I am thinking abouy an Ashley tritium front post. For the rear I am torn between the following: Krebs Custom Peep Mojo AKMC Ashley Rear Post The Mojo AKMC is the front runner at present unless someone can change my mind.
