I have the Baby Eagle compact .45, essentially the same gun. Had it about 18 months or so, also very happy with it. I almost bought some of the Promags for it, but was warned off on them by customer feedback on one of the online vendors (probably Cheaper Than Dirt). The feedback said the mags are jam-o-matics. Sorry you found out the hard way.
  2. Ordered mine. IMHO, this is a must have upgrade for the S12. Very inexpensive upgrade on a very critical part. You guys that have had their S12 for years and thousands of rounds with no problem, maybe not so important to replace it right away. Prolly be good to check the pin for any unusual damage or wear though. There have been enough recent failures of the stock part to indicate there was a manufacturing problem on some of them. Firing pins should not shatter within a few hundred rounds. I will be installing the Tromix part when I receive it and will toss the stock part i
  3. Seriously dude, go back and read my post. "If I could totally trust government and law enforcement, I wouldn't have a problem with any kind of firearm registration and records on ammo purchases. That's the whole idea behind 2A though, we absolutely CAN'T totally trust government and law enforcement." See that there.... the word in all CAPS....... "CAN'T" ....... short for CANNOT....... and the rest of the statement was "totally trust government and law enforcement." That all means that I am in agreement with you, the government is not trustworthy and should not be allowed any kin
  4. Nice job kwesi! This should get stickied in Mike's sub-forum.
  5. >>trigger guard e tac 59.00,trigger guard tromix do it yourself 45.00 You don't need both of those, only one or the other. And don't get a double hook trigger unless you want to mod your receiver for it.
  6. Zombies & Resurrections In the first half of the show, Ian welcomes author of the The Zombie Survival Guide, researcher and former SNL writer, Max Brooks for a discussion on the history of Zombie attacks on mankind. In the latter half, winner of the Bram Stoker Award and the International Horror Guild Award, Doug Clegg will discuss the need to bring loved ones back from the dead, and the horrific complications involved. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2009/10/17
  7. Is it true that Special K can cause dissociation and out of body episodes? Any cool trips you can tell us about?
  8. Fluid, take the statement in context, read my whole post I agree with you. Spartacus, Unfortunately, those of us that are on patrol call this tactic "Catch and Release!" Until the courts are willing to start denying bail for the violent felons, we will have to keep locking them up and watching them get released. I am just as upset about seeing monsters on the streets as everyone else. I do my part by getting them off of the streets, but I do not have any control over the ones that are letting them out. GeorgiaPD & Will, I know there are a lot of good guys out
  9. I don't like it either......... BUT as legal gun owners, what suggestions could we make to government and law enforcement to help keep guns & ammo out of the hands of criminals? My big one would be much stiffer penalties for violent crime. Keep the criminals locked up, not the guns and ammo. If I could totally trust government and law enforcement, I wouldn't have a problem with any kind of firearm registration and records on ammo purchases. That's the whole idea behind 2A though, we absolutely CAN'T totally trust government and law enforcement. The government and law enforcemen
  10. The NRA should finance opening up a new sports bar (shooting sports) near the Hill in DC. Call it "Sluggers" or something like that. They could run videos like this on the big screens, and heck it's already got a great dance mix to go with the video. I'm picturing very hot young women out on the dance floor moving to that music, and gun videos on the big screens! And Juggs could provide the t-shirts for the wet t-shirt contests! Common'... even the libs couldn't resist a place like that..... except maybe Barney Frank.
  11. Yep, I like the DPH too. Don't have one, but it's the one that I would get.
  12. I'll say it's interesting, but the ammo is all totally different from each other....... an apples to shoe horns comparison. A .45 SCHP round could be made that would open up just like the 50GI SCHP round did. The .45 ammo you used was not designed to do that. The same is true for the other calibers. It looked like fun though.
  13. >>AK stock and pistol grip A foreign made stock and grip? Did you also replace the FCG with US made parts or no? IIRC possession of the foreign mag is no problem until mated to a gun which breaks the parts count.
  14. mine is over gassed, really worried about it wearing out quick. Get a Twister puck to bleed off some of the gas. link? I'd go with the Magnum for an over-gassed gun

  16. Yep, I use a different e-mail for Paypal than most of my other activities online. I just PM'ed you with the Paypal receipt Ben. Thanks guys.
  17. >>I have noticed some sellers actually increase the price. That's a sales technique that actually works sometimes. It's all about perceived value. The sellers that are posting the high prices repeatedly do so because they are fishing for newbies. They know that they are many of them out there that have no idea what the true value of the item is. I prefer sellers that stick with reasonable mark-ups. It's an auction site..... caveat emptor.

    >>The Seller said to hold off sending the payment to him that he noticed when the bids came in that he had not test fired the weapon. I originally posted a silly response because your post is very difficult to read. I gather that you had a problem on Gunbroker with an auction. Nobody here can help you with that. Take it up with Gunbroker. Tell them about it (clearly) and see if they will help you.
  19. I had that with my stock 5 rounder too. Just had to fit it the same way you would any other mag (or the drum). All four of my Surefire 12 rounders fit fine out of the package though.
  20. Does it fit in the MD drum? No it does not. I received the MD Drum today in the mail. The Wolf OO buck nor the Rio OO buck fit in the drum. It sucks because I was pretty excited when I saw the mail man bringing my box (MD Drum) up the driveway. I was waiting outside for him because he comes everyday the same time like clockwork. Does anybody know if there is a OO buck out there that is priced like the Wolf or Rio that fits in the MD Drum? Yep, unfortunately most of the reasonably priced 00 buck is too long to fit in the drum, the shells exceed the 2.75" spec. I can confi
  21. I thought the problem was getting it out. If you can't get it in (wink-wink) contact KA and they will exchange your puck with an under-size one that will fit. Don't sand it down!
  22. That can happen due to carbon and plastic build-up in the gas chamber and the threads. Clean out the bore and the threads and then see if the puck will slide out, or tap out easily. Be very careful about using excessive force to pound out the puck, you can easily damage the threads.
  23. The mags look great and the shipping was lightning fast! Thanks!
  24. That's been covered here several times. You may need to use a flat file on the barrel to remove just a few .001's of paint/metal for clearance on the gas knob. Somebody said they had seen one from the factory with a flat spot on the barrel and painted over. True, I've seen those threads too, but I don't really consider that a "fix"... Well, in a perfect world everything would fit right. It's the correct fix since the only other choices are to turn down the edge of the gas knob and risk messing up how the detent pin works, or replace the whole gas block for another th
