  1. I have a bunch of 3" shells through mine as well...no problems whatsoever. Just an FYI, I've read that the locking tab on some American manufacturered stick mags can break off under heavy recoil (not sure if it was only happening in extreme cold temps). Likely because they don't have the steel reinforcement that the Russian mags (and MD drum) have. Something to be aware of...
  2. Front plastic tab that rocks into the receiver breaks off. With that said, I've put many 3" rounds through my AGP 10's with no problems at all.
  3. Floyd, you do excellent work I really think you could do this full time. Your knives are truly art! You should see if any of the forum vendors (MAA, CSS, etc) would consider carrying your knives and selling them on consignment or some similar arrangement. I'd love to see some more of your folders. Something a bit less expensive for daily carry would be great!!

Awesome. I like the look of the drilled vents. What would be a good modification though, would be the addition of QD swivel attachment points on both sides of the rail. Just a suggestion. Big +1. Great Idea!!!
  5. Sounds great, but keep an eye on the rear trunnion and make sure it isn't getting beaten up by high brass. If you start seeing a lot of wear, the gun is probably overgassed. Simple fix...pick up a gunfixr plug.
  6. Al- Would you be willing to accept individual pre-paid orders, and put in a group order for us from that?
  7. Isn't that the gun you picked up a few months ago and had a ton of problems with reliability? What was your starting price back then?
  8. I had the same exact problem (I used a JTE spring...not the factory spring like you have). As TRyoung said, you'll have to take a pair of long nose plyers, and put a bend in the spring toward the outside of the receiver. Make the bend severe enough (about 1/4 inch from the end) so it can't pull inward.
  9. I think you're getting a bit wrapped up in this. It's a shotgun drum...not a roof over your possessions. I think MD made it pretty clear in the preorder that the final delivery date would be somewhat flexible. He also said that if anyone wanted to cancel, he'd be more than happy to refund your deposit. I'm not a business owner, but I can appreciate the logistics of coordinating and receiving thousands and thousands of parts from the different suppliers needed to assemble the thousands of preorders I'm sure they received. I think the preorder offer was extended in January or Februar
  10. How short are you planning to go?
  11. Out of curiosity, why has no one patented any of their ideas??? We have MD who spent a significant amount of time and money on a Saiga drum, only to have ProMag come up with their own version. GunFixer developed the first gas plug, and Tac47 subsequently developed their own. Why don't any of these pioneers patent their idea? I would think if you have a new and novel product, it would be relatively easy and inexpensive...
  12. FWIW, I picked up the DPH (which I mounted on a non push button Ace folder) a few months back, just because I liked the DPH appearance a bit more and Greg at CSS was running a sale on them at the time. If I'm not mistaken the MAA stock takes the slip-on AR-15 type butt pads. The DPH stock takes the screw-on Ace pads (which I prefer).
  13. They are rarely in stock anywhere. If I'm not mistaken, Tantal had them for around $125ish last time they were in stock on his site. Just insure it for the cost of a new gun. That's probably what you'd have to buy if your bolt gets lost in transit...
  14. Not sure which quote is funnier
  15. +1 I bought the quad rail when it came out, and I'd love to get just the extended top rail for it.
  16. In their defense, MD Arms is a 2 or 3 person company that has to fulfill thousands of orders. I'm not a big fan of some of Mike's recent business practices, but am sure that anyone who ordered a drum from him will get one. There are probably a ton of issues that crop up when you dealing with the volume that they're dealing with, and to be fair...it's only been a couple of months. If you are tired of waiting, just cancel your order, wait for the drums to be back in stock, and reorder (for $20 more per drum).
  17. What mainspring do you have in the gun? The JTE reduced power mainspring that was on the market for quite a while will occasionally cause light primer strikes. If I'm not mistaken, this product was pulled (for this reason) late last year. If you used that spring during your conversion, I would recommend your first step be to replace it with the JTE full power spring or go back to the stock spring.
  18. Happens on both of mine. Never caused a problem with the gun's operation.
  19. I would bet that once this kit is released overseas, it will make it into the hands of some of our more talented developers. Then, it's just a matter of time before we're going to get an american made kit based on the original.
  20. Another +1 for the tromix modified tapco parts. I did my first S-12 a few months ago, and had no problems with the install. The BHO gave me the most grief, but it still wasn't too bad. I got all my parts from CSS. The owner (greg) is very knowlegible, responds to e-mail quickly, and has very fast shipping. With that said, I think pricing is pretty much uniform for these parts on any of the vendors associated with this forum.
  21. I posed the same question a few weeks ago. The general consesus was there could be cycling problems. Specifically, by shortening a 19" by 3" or 4", you reduce the gas dwell time and will probably need to open your gas ports a bit to compensate. You should consider checking with some of the gunsmiths on this board that provide that service.
  22. And for anyone that hasn't installed a folder yet, $140 is a good deal. If you buy separately, you're looking at around $50 for a non-push button folder, plus the cost of the stock itself ($70-80), not counting the cost of the internal block ($45ish)
  23. Looks great! What's the composition? Metallic or polymer?
