  1. That's why God gave us the Saiga 12 and 3" magnum slugs. I dunno about the God part (I'll stick with Mikhail), but definitely agreed. Dangerous game is only dangerous when it's close. Some 3" mags will absolutely wreck shop in close quarters encounters with dangerous game.
  2. Dunno but my ex could tell you how many it took to get to the center of the high school basketball team.
  3. No replace, just make the family larger.
  4. That they do. The Saiga branded version is different than all the others. Aside from that, I haven't seen any difference, especially for it to be marketed as V12 specific. I have two MK6's, one on a V12 and one on a Bulgarian Arsenal SLR, I also have two of the Saiga versions (farther forward dimple location, FYI scratches don't line up on either of my Saigas) one on an S12 and one on an IZ132. Any one of those four safeties will interchange in any of those four AK's. The retainer plates are different from rifle to shotgun though in case someone didn't know that already.
  5. The link says it's their specific V12 plate made by so and so company. That's what I was going by. I can literally take one (safety) from any of my other AK's, 2 shotguns and 2 rifles (all have Krebs safety except my Yugo which only has the Krebs rivet on finger tab) and install it on any other AK of mine and it will function as intended.
  6. My guess is they (4range) combined it with their retaining plate and are marketing it as V12 specific because of the plate. I reused my factory retaining plate in mine.
  7. Only thing I can think of is if someone has a V12 with ambidextrous safety, Krebs doesn't offer anything for those. The one in your link is the exact same piece I've had on mine for 5yrs now, It fits V12 and other AK variants, including Saigas depending on where you want the scratch to be. Edit; Update with what you find. I'll bet dollars to donuts that its no different.
  8. I've had their normal AK safety on my square-back V12 for about 3 years now. Fit like a glove and the scratch lined up perfectly. With the bolt locked back by the LRBHO, it rides right in the charging handle groove. Pics of it on here somewhere. Edit; It was 2012 when I switched to a Krebs safety. Heres a pic from '15.... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/96573-alternative-safety-lever-for-vepr-12/?hl=krebs&do=findComment&comment=1014506 If you have an ambidextrous safety V12, you're still shit out of luck when it comes to a Krebs piece.
  9. Finished the 9mm carbine to 100%. Added Magpul MBUS Pro sights and added a small 3 slot Picatinny rail section to the handguard for a Streamlight TLR1-HL. Also changed the Aimpoint PRO mount to a much nicer (in my opinion) Midwest Industries absolute co-witness mount. The TLR1-HL is BRIGHT! With an empty 32rd steel PSA magazine, it weighs 7.93lbs (just shy of 8lbs). It's a heavy little fucker. Couple pics....
  10. All federal law or just immigration laws? This could be bad precedent when it comes to other issues.
  11. Might want to do some searching around on here. As of now, they are unicorns.
  12. I think spacehog means Midwest Industries. Depending on what optic you want to use, you can get pretty low with RS Mounts. They might seem a little pricey but you pay for the quality.
  13. Silly to work an 80% at the prices fully machined lowers are going for.
  14. After reading that, i don't know who's more fucked in the head...you or Ben.
  15. The Hungarians with the heavy canvas pouches? I kick myself for only buying 3 sets with the pouches from AIM when they were $20 a set. Sold each set for $90/ea a few years back when I decided to consolidate to all ((10))'s.
  16. Stay away from 2011-2012 Pentastars, they had cylinder head issues. Not all but a lot of them. Chrysler is wishy washy about fixing them. 2013 and newer and the issue has been resolved with updated castings
  17. They did the one episode where they shot bowling balls out of a home made cannon at a junk car. That was pretty awesome. Big chief and murder Nova also used to build power lines back when the show first started.
  18. Except they didn't build it, they farmed it out to their race crew.
  19. He looked like a straight up rag doll. I can't stand the gas monkey morons. But if Loughlin is driving it will be tough
  20. The funniest and most epic of stunts performed on last night's episode.... https://youtu.be/3SXq3dzRuPA Watch the whole thing through for the slow motion footage.
  21. This is spot on. Unless the gun has replica written on the side, and not 50AE. If you get the reference we can be friends. One of the best movies ever. Deafen'em to death
  22. The most recent I have bought GT was ~2yrs ago. Search the AKfiles for the thread. Lots of accounts of failures. The older cases I still have (5-7yrs old), I never had a problem with.
