  1. Awesome! I've tried with the iron sites, but never had much luck. Saiga shotties are a different story.
  2. Yeah after a 3/32" hole I usually open them up to about 3/16", then chisel it off. It usually pops without much resistance. Sometimes those spot welds are 1/4" wide.
  3. Nope, no guide required...
  4. Sorry, torch was just a joke. Use small cobalt to start, don't cook it.
  5. WTF? Mike? What gives man? You're probably sitting on a pile of them right now. Obviously nobody wants to give you $hit about it, but come on man... I was hoping to rain some lead in the woods the 15th of Nov (big redneck holiday in Michigan) Now I'm going to have to make a trip to Ohio to do a little huntin' - dammit...
  6. #1 choice is a carbide end mill - which will work in a drill press. Try a cobalt bit or carbide anything like a masonry bit (the ones with the carbide piece in the tip). Titanium Nitride coating only goes so far and are just a step up from HSS. If that all fails, bust out the torch.
  7. Vankiller or fuzzylionkiller? Good to see you are still around
  8. PG, trigger, disconnector, hammer and handguard - 5 US parts. Adding those parts would make it a US made firearm for sure. Rail & scope mounts - not listed parts Brakes are listed parts - muzzle device No more than 10 imported parts - you got it.
  9. For those who want to try it themselves...
  10. I've seen that happen with a guy's rifle after he ground off material from the disconnector hook. Don't know why, but it looked like the hook had about 0.030" removed from it. She wasn't grabbing the hammer first go around. Guys, if you polish them, use something like 600 grit paper or greater on all the hooks. You just want to polish them, not grind.
  11. Question is null and void....guns ain't looked on too kindly in Cali... Yup, same page brother. No woman is worth the surrender of all weapons...

    AGP Mags

My biggest complaint about the AGP mags is they cause me to run out of ammo too quickly. Nice rig topmaul!
  13. Congrats! So who's moving? Or is this going to be one of them long distance things?
  14. last load I got in , half of them did not have pin's . The gasblock and front sight were secured by spot pressing into dimples drilled into the barrel . Like Molot does with the Veprs . That sucks unless you plan on replacing them...

    Chokes

Saiga Central and Gilbert's both list them, but they are out of stock. You can sign up for their notification email.
  16. Midwest is out of business? Whaaaat? Fugg...
  17. I had one that was clear of the gas tube, just had the screw-on attachment at the rear and long pin on the gas block... Another, a .223 I believe, had a spring in the rear of the HG, but no screw. See pic... Wait, wrong pic, I don't see any HG's.
  18. TruChoke now has thinwall choke taps. Those may be an option for those who want both. Info is up on Brownell's site about the exact threads they have and min wall thicknesses. The minor diameter of the S-12 threading would be 21.25mm, subtract that from whatever the internal threading's major diameter is. Otherwise standard RemChokes would make the min barrel thickness too thin.

    K.I.S.S-12

Awesome idea on the RIT and sling! I've been hesitant on forking out the big $$ for a black one when the blue's are so cheap - best of both worlds... Looks nice
  20. That might not have enough meat to remove, but without measuring I can't say for sure. There was one set from leapers that wouldn't fit the 308, woulda been paper thin.
  21. Yes you can, that's what FBMG did ('cept they had Tony make some floorplates). They fit perfectly. Also the AGP S-12 mag springs fit in them too.
