It almost made mine explode a couple times.
The reason of taking out the plug is so you can get the puck out to clean the gas system. There have been issues with some people loosing the detent button, but I think that's because the retaining pin through the gas block worked it's way out.
No more kick than plastic. It's definitely lighter than having all the quad rails and tactical doo-dads all over your shotgun.
+1 Certainly though, the S12 lends itself perfectly to the Tactical dress. There are many people here that desire and embrace that look.
It's quite a bit easier. In hindsight I wish I had used the factory trigger guard. I still have it. Maybe someday I'll swap it out and sell the Tromix.

All three holes should be milled at an angle towards the muzzle. Shoot the gun to break it so you know there are no warranty issues before converting. A couple hundred slugs or buckshot. NOT the light game loads.
