  1. Wow, I had considered the Raven conversions in 4 and 8, but due to the lead times for repair parts I decided to go with the COP 45/70 derringer. I know it's a bit underpowered compared to the Raven conversions so I carry a second one as a "New York reload". The ammo is a bit cheaper than the gyrojet and I can afford to practice a bit more.
  2. In El Paso, welcome to the desert! I'll pass the word to the folks I know here.
  3. Just noticed this, welcome to the most forsaken place there is! Do not count on a lot from El Paso as far a Saiga community as there don't seem to be many of us here, but welcome again from the "Land that God Forgot". Keep an eye out for coyotes, especially at night (both the two and four legged varieties are found here) On the other hand, the steaks from the Cattleman's and the Tex-Mex food make up for a fair amount.
  4. Supposedly they are shipping now, so we should get word from someone that they have received it. So, now we all watch the thread for the first few folks that get it (pictures too, please) If there are a few respondents with pics, I'll pony up for one.
  5. FINALLY ordered my Saiga .308 w/ long barrel!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Still have not converted, too many other things got in the way (.223, 7.62x39, and S-12) but can't wait to do so! Enjoy!

  6. Yes, the Renegade buck adapter does. And it does well with most quality polymer mags too
  7. What is this "Justify" of which you speak? I don't know of many other classes of "hobbies" or "collectibles" that you can use for enjoyment, stress relief, defense and investment at the same time.
  8. As far as the slowdowns and pop ups, have you tried malwarebytes or spybot? You might want to go the the bleepingcomputer website.
  9. Fast shipping, excellent part. Good deal!
  10. But the RCMP is using the list to reclassify and get rid of any and all "scary" guns before the opportunity is lost. http://www.theprovince.com/news/RCMP+seizing+guns+before+registry+ends/5963591/story.html
  11. This thread grows dangerously close to needing to be moved. Everyone step back and take a breath.
  12. That the President of the US is visiting is one thing. And that's pretty neat. That it's Obama and it's a visit for nothing more than publicity, lies and grubbing for election money at the taxpayers expense is a shameful thing. I respect the office, it's supposed to be reserved for the leader of the free world, the man who should be an example of the best in us all. I think very little of the man currently occupying that office. Oath breaker is the only thing I will say. Anyway, hope you get to enjoy the visit.
  13. It is non-reciprocating and forward on the gas tube. I have one mounted on my Saiga 223 and AK74. As they are bullpups, it makes them a lot easier to use.
  14. I'm using Tula with no issues.
  15. Saw those, thanks. Was kind of hoping for a cheaper way out and to keep it in the forum, but it just doesn't work that way some days.
  16. Many thanks for the offer but the para bayo is indeed shorter (Go Tritium!). I have a multitude of full length Chinese tent stakes, I just hate the idea of having to cut one down.
  17. Just acquired a Norinco SKS Paratrooper in excellent condition, but the bayonet is missing. Looking to buy / trade for one.
  18. LMMFAO! Leave it to a deacon to screw that carefully laid plan up. Red's newest avatar is mesmerizing. Of course.. Isn't that part of the job description? Something about the best planned lays of mice and men are aft to go agley? wait, I don't think that came out right.
  19. Good luck with selling at a show. There is one "dealer" here who sells converted Saiga shotguns at absolutely outrageous prices, and gets them! I saw what appeared to be a "Tacticool Special" with the UTG quad rails, basic AK style conversion, black plastic furniture, UTG bipod, UTG AK front grip, BSA red dot and a roadblocker style muzzle brake for the sum of $1499. Finish appeared to be flat black K-Mart spray paint (that scratched off the barrel with a thumbnail). The sad part is that he not only sold it but took earnest money from at least three other chumps while spouting the " Gonna
  20. T6 and Tromix DIY guard were excellent. USPS dropped the ball a bit, but Risky is ++1.
  21. Hm, I'll skip 223 out of courtesy and all my other rifle calibers were done. 252, a comedy classic then.
