  1. I wonder if its buoyancy is dependent on the tires. If that's the case, I'd be scared shitless to drive it over broken ice like that. Otherwise, looks pretty badass.
  2. Had my lower engraved by Gray's Laser Engraving and am happy with out it turned out. A little pricey though ($72 for engraving + return shipping). I've also heard good things about Ident. Not sure about the engraving polymer thing, though.
  3. Much to my chagrin, my Anderson trigger makes my DD trigger feel like shit. It has your typical heavy milspec pull but it's smooth as butter.
  4. Aero Precision, Anderson or Palmetto State Armory (who uses Aero's upper and lower receivers)
  5. My G22 hasn't seen a ridiculous amount of action since I bought my 226, but it's been too reliable for me to part with. I haven't had a pressing need to get rid of it either, so it's here to stay.
  6. Tie between S&W Sigma and the Ruger LC9 (non-s version) Damn and I was just about to purchase a 19. I like the option of the 33 rounders. Wouldn't let it deter you. Some people just have a bad experience with them, but I'd bet that the vast majority have a positive experience with Glocks, myself included. I've been using a 19 suppressed and un-suppressed for awhile. The only time it "hiccups" is when I'm running Remington UMC with the suppressor. Has a tendency to fail to feed and occasionally stove-pipe. It's just the ammunition, though, as I understand UMC to be underpow
  7. I was just reading a bunch of those earlier today. So funny. Notice they all get ignored, too.
  8. Decided to lift instead of shoot today. Was rewarded with a nice PR deadlift of 600lb

I've decided to shoot everyday instead of lift. ;)

  9. It depends on what the going rate is for that particular firearm. If it's a transferable M16 lower for $5000 I wouldn't think twice about it. If it's a used Glock for $400, hell no. But assuming we're talking about a new, semi-auto rifle in a non-exotic caliber, I'd find anything over $800ish hard to swallow.
  10. Bakelite gets brittle with age. However, regardless of age, I doubt they're tougher than circle 10s or the equivalent. I do love the look of it though, which is why I keep a few around.
  11. I believe it's actually an abandoned bird sanctuary. Bunch of goddamn operators we're dealing with here.
  12. It's a tac tail switch. I can do momentary on using that, so I don't need a pressure switch. I'm left handed so I control it with my right thumb.
  13. From the album: wtfbbq

New weapons light setup on my SBR. PD35 Tac in a Gear Sector offset mount. Really liking this setup. This mount holds the light close enough to the rail that I had to shave a bit off of the top panel on my RAS to install it, which is exactly what I was looking for.
  14. This is pretty simple vector mechanics. Moment about an axis = F*r. Any distance added between the axis of the nut and the portion of the handle you're pulling on will lower the torque value you need to set the wrench to.
  15. If they thought getting NY to register their firearms was hard, they're in for a good time with this one.
  16. I'd be hesitant to call the AK inaccurate. The testing that Primary Arms has been doing with AKs at 200-500 yards has been pretty impressive. Of course they're not AS accurate as ARs, but I think you could make the argument that AKs are actually as inaccurate as ARs are actually unreliable. In other words, not very.
  17. >article claims to compare M4 vs. AK >article compares the 5.56 vs 7.62 >AKs are available in 5.56 and 7.62 >ARs are available in 5.56 and 7.62 >article does not compare the M4 to the AK
