    1000 units

I am still seeing vepr-12's listed by a few dealers. I guess I thought the market for these things would have been a little stronger and that the 1000 would have been long gone by now. I remember some of the dealers/distributors on this forum saying there were only 1000 ordered and that there were no more orders made and no more being brought in this year. But I now see copes distributing has announced a new pre order due in by the end of the month, though perhaps the order is coming from the importer. Maybe its due to the poor economy but it still seems a little surprising.
  3. I would suggest not modifying the gun in any way. If you do that you will be stuck with it. You paid 1000.00 for a brand new gun and you should not have to fix anything. Send it back for an exchange or a refund and get another one, and if you do please let us know how it worked out
  4. That is why I went with the VEPR and am happy I did. My rail is straight and the weapon shoots like a champ, eating everything it gets fed. The cost is lower in my mind than taking a S12 to the same configuration. I would have happily paid more if it had a left side charging handle, metal rail etc. I totaly agree. For once I am one of the lucky ones and my rail is straight as well. But I have had my fare share of problems from other guns. And here is some food for thought. Warranty issues and complaints are probably a big consideration for any company thinking of importing cool stuf
  5. "the parties involved. I am curious to see how they handle this." Yes... And it would be good to here from some of the parties involed... they have been posting info here on this forum fairly often thus far. It seems like it will look.... shall we say kinda funny if they were to get quiet sudenly.
  6. I agree, and yes the comment was offensive, though not actually racist, Mexican is not a race. Though predominately Mestizo (which translates mixed race) mostly a mix of Spanish and Amerindian such as Mayan, Aztec, Toltec or one of the other tribes or nations that exist or existed in what is now Mexico. Mexico has a great deal of ethnic diversity as does all of Central and South America.
  7. They are sold out. Next shipment is weeks out according to their Facebook page. There web site took my order and my card info with no mention of being out of stock. I guess I will cancel and wait for CSS to get them. I have always received good service from CSS
  8. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80970-ordering-molot-gk-01/page__hl__prepper#entry810623 The prepper sight is called Fire speed tactical They have them in stock for 172.50
  9. IMHO, plastic is the same as on hand grip, hand guard and mags, but rails has steel inserts. You can try on your handgrip if will be something wrong change it hugue ak-47 grip. When I duracoated My Veprs, hanguards as well as handgrips were dried in kitchen oven around an hour on 100 Celsius. Anyway, try on the detail that cost less! Handgrip - is the cheapest ! That sounds like good advice. Also the grip is available here in the US and so far the rest is not. My gut feeling (for what that's worth) tells me that 200 degrees which is below the boiling point of water should pose
  10. Has anyone been able to contact Tac47, They don't answer the phone or my emails and my FFL is getting failure notices when he tries to send his info FFL@tac47industries.com Probably just busy but I have been trying for a couple of weeks.
  11. Not quite. there is an unknown reserve. The Buy Now price is 1399 Ah I did not see that.
  12. Now there is another add for 899.00 with three available to ship.
  13. Good question "PrestoZ" ... will there be a functioning Bolt Release ? One of the features that the American model will keep is the bolt hold open function. Moreover, there is a bolt release button just above the trigger. Read more: http://www.shotgunne.../#ixzz29KVIY7c5 what about the rail on the bottom of the gas block? Basically The B.A.T.F. has decided that the rail under that front gas block, or the front hand guard for that matter, is of no use to anyone interested in hunting ducks or other game or to those who enjoy sporting clays or skeet and since their is ob
  14. Squishy Please don't take this the wrong way, I understand what you are saying and I am sure we would likely agree 100 percent, but for the sake of someone who might stumble onto this post and not have a clear understanding of their rights. The second amendment of the constitution has absolutely absolutely ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! to do with sporting and for any branch of the government be it Federal State or local to infringe on a law abiding citizens right to keep arms based on what they think we need for "sporting" activities is a criminal act.
  15. Call me crazy but I like the white paint in the lettering that seems to be missing on the imports so that will probably be my first mod.
  16. A cut tang version would be great for people like me that cut the tang (and now wish they hadn't) but I'm not sure how much of a market there would be.
  17. Congratulations on your new S-12 and good luck on your conversion. Remember: No collection is ever complete and... never greet the confused ones, they will only confuse you
  18. LOL yep seems like it he's that fast
  19. Why is everyone assuming atlantic wont ship the stock customers want? Atlantic has the best customer service and will bend over backwards to satisfy their customers. By the way atlantic i want wood on both my veor12's. Because I asked them and they said no
  20. Then you did well. I ordered with poly and now they wont allow me to change my mind apparently because they have already paid for the poly stocks. They did not say why I could not change so just a guess at this point
  21. I originally asked for the poly stock based on the report that the wood stocks were referred to as through away's by Atlantic Firearms and that they may be in bad condition. I have since asked asked them to change my order to which they said they "could not " Well... I don't claim to know all the ins and outs of the situation and I am not at this point accusing Atlantic of anything. I will however say this. If these shotguns are being delivered to Atlantic with wood stocks and they can't simply leave the stock on the gun for me then I damned well better not see these same stocks come up fo

    There here

Wolf just posted on their subforum that the guns are here. Sounds like it wont be long now. I can't wait to try one out. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80051-vepr-12-anyone/
  24. Thank you very much for all the info PapaZorro Vepr-12 has the same, why you want to change fo K-var? The AFT imposed regulations that forbid the 1913 picatinny rail on the bottom of the front gas block. The sporterized Saiga 12 030 that came in had the picatinny rails milled off/removed. We are assuming the Vepr 12 will have the same thing done to them. So, defequisiom is asking if the diameter of the barrel at the FGB is the same on the Vepr 12 as it is on the Saiga 030 so that we can swap out the imported FGB for the railed version that KVAR is selling. Do you happen to kno
