  1. ^^^^That made me laugh. They should offer it as a factory color
  2. I hear where you are coming from on the downsizing the landscaping. I need to do the same or upsize the maintenance equipment
  3. Just to update here is MP in his final form: The spare 40mm ammo can made a perfect waterproof toolbox for the back end.
  4. I see the opposite. Less demand because there is no "this may be my last chance to get this before its banned" mentality. My hope is that new imports, off the shelf supressors, and a small business culture where there is not the threat of your capital investment going up in flames just because politicians want to ban a product you make or support. In short, I guess I am hoping that the firearms market is going to have to be driven by the excitement of new products / innovation as opposed to fear. That is going to be a win for all us, and that is what I hope I am saving up for.
  5. Would a Bulgarian trunnion from an AK74 parts kit not fit? It would seem nearly everything else from a Bulgarian parts kit is compatible with the Saigas. Don't know about the barrel size and head spacing though.
  6. I have been in a holding pattern for a while now on both firearms and ammo. I even let a nicely converted Saiga x39 and a custom built AR go recently to help fund a septic system out at the property, and pick up a bolt gun that I have had my eye on for sometime. Hoping some new stuff will hit our shores soon, there is just not much out there right now that really excites me.
  7. What are you all doing with the new hopeful climate for firearms? I would like to hear your thoughts. Personally, I am holding on to my gun fund money for the promised land of an over saturated supply, cheaper gun market, (especially ARs), renewed imports, and hopeful repeal of many draconian firearm regulations. The Lord knows I have misread enough future events and markets in my life, but I see $400 ARs and $300 AKs in the next 18 - 24 mths. I would love to hear some of your thoughts on the market.
  8. Jill Stein is just the current useful idiot that the democrats (that is the Clinton crime family) is using to demand a recount without getting their hands dirty. Jill didn't raise $7million that fast on the backs of your everyday commie Green Party voter (they are all broke living off the government or mommie and daddy) This has big money and the Clinton's MO all over it.
  9. 400 yards is the most I can shoot without doing some major tree removal, and I love my 40-50 yo water oaks and the acorns they are dropping for the deer. The drought put a major delay in reclaiming the fields and planned shooting lanes from the 6 yr sweet gum forest. (It was just too dusty, and I didn't want to risk starting a fire with the bush hog). On a brighter note, I was able to shoot briefly last week at 300. Ringing 10" steel with a x39 AR and a PA ACSS 1X6. As soon as the rain lets up this week, I will spend an afternoon putting the Savage through its paces. I have high hopes for
  10. Savage 10 FCP SR .308 with 24" barrel: Needed a new bolt gun after getting rid of my 700 SPS last year.
  11. I am happy he won and voted for him, given the alternative. I will say for an anti-establishment candidate (As many have lauded during the primary and general elections), he sure seems to be filling his cabinet with establishment republicans, and unfortunately, quite unimpressive ones at that.
  12. Why are you concerned that the G2 FCG will cause the BCG to hit the rear trunnion? I have not had that issue with the G2 in any of my AKs. If you are worried about the hammer being profiled so low that it does not provide enough friction to slow down the carrier before it hits the rear trunnion, I would think that that problem would present itself long before that in not pushing the hammer down far enough to reset the trigger. I have had absolutely zero issues with the G2, and I have modified forms of them in Saigas of all calibers, Yugos, Romanians, VEPRs, and Norincos. I would not expect
  13. You did well Chile in a situation where I know that most of us (yourself included) hope we never find ourselves. Glad you are alright.
  14. Because they understand that full unfettered restoration of the 2nd, makes them irrelevant, and they still want power more than they want us to have our rights.
  15. Sorry DLT, I have one PAP SBR and the sights are fairly straight so the lack of response may be because many don't have the experience to answer the question. You say both the front and rear are off. Is it possible you can split the difference between the two to get to zero? The only other option I would suggest is drill the cover for a picatinny rail or aim point mount and call it good. This is what I did, not because I had issues with the sight, but wanted a red dot on the cover. I have had no issues with return to zero. Maybe this might work for you as well?
  16. Not only am I smiling because Hillary won't be back in the White House, I am smiling at the thought of all those people panic buying at the end of last week with the sole purpose of reselling at exhorbitant prices on GB after she was coronated.
  17. In stock now at PSA for $899. Curious about your review if you decide to pick one up.
  18. Title says it all. Prefer US made and will pay a little more for them, but surplus Bulgarian will work. Let me know what you have.
  19. I would like to know which one you are building as well. Here is my side charger built on a Spartan billet lower and non-reciprocating side charging upper. It uses a standard Bolt / Carrier but you replace the cam pin with one supplied with the upper. So far no issues, and controls are much more intuitive. Good luck and post some pics:
  20. That is a beautiful pepper. Thank you for this post. Shannon and I laughed so hard, but we know you owned it. That pepper would have killed mere mortals.
  21. Three things I would change: In order to vote in federal elections one has to pay taxes into the federal system. (That is you pay more in federal taxes than you receive in a return minus any federal entitlement dollars.) This is the only way we will reverse the trend of people selfishly voting themselves benefits while refusing to contribute to greater good of all of caring how OUR money is spent. The second would be to do away with electronic ballots and voter machines. Technology is too easily hacked. I do not trust that when I vote with no paper ballot that my vote is actually count
  22. Grief blinds many and leaves only a selfish emptiness of those lost. I still empathize with his pain, just not with his current views.
