Ammo Storage Unit Idea

A none flammable foam won't work as good or better? Concrete being solid conducts heat. Maybe a foam & sand mixture give you best of both world? -
So I have a IZ-332 model I converted and put some nice red furniture on. Then I got a WASR for a different project and it had a redish handle bayonet included, bonus. I have a bayonet lug, but I am assuming the sides have been ground enough, the bayonet doesn't lock. I have the rifle 'on display' so sitting there the bayonet looks nice, you move it and off it falls. Thought and found a way to fix the problem. I used a 'rare earth magnet' about the size of a PEZ candy, and slipped it onto bayonet in groove on bayonet, and position to be next to lug space. There some stell there, so it

My sighting is start at 25 yard, then 50 and then 100. 5 ft sounds like a crazy variance. That was the ONLY thing you changed, distance?

SGM Tactical Stock on a converted rifle.
TigerMoses replied to nodott's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
I have one, looks and feels awesome. Haven't had it at range since install, but feel confident it should preform well, on my unconverted 223. I replaced a Tapco T6 setup with this one, and it feels like I could use it like an axe against a zomie if I run out of ammo! -
GSG5/522 Owners Chime In
TigerMoses replied to Peckaldee's topic in Other Weapons - RIFLES (non-AK based)
I have the recent version of the GSG522SD, with round hand grip and large 'silencer'. Looks and feels great, I added the folding stock that adjust pull and cheek rest. See Put Red dot on top, and after getting it sighted, sent a fresh target at the indoor range back to the 25 yards max, all 22 shots from the mag were in the head! I've seen the previous SD, mine looks way better in my opinion! -
Well, almost 50 views and no replies... So I went to TAK47, and ask the guy if the IZ332 front would allow swapping for wood with current retainers and they said yes. So choice was online $459 + 25 shipping + 15 FFL transfer fee for something I never see and dont know what day it ships or $489+tax at TAK47, so I decided to support my local TAK47 Conversion supplies from CSS

the price differential between a normal Saiga 7.62x39 vs the IZ332 model with AK front end is about $100. I am going to be getting a WASR (all wood furniture) that I'll be removing all the wood to make a bullpup, a Center Balanced Systems SPIKE X1 FMD.. I'd like to do my first Saiga convert, and stain the wood the way I want and put on Saiga. Is the any $100 advantage the IZ332 has in making this task easier? Can someone send me a link showing what I need to do to front to have it work with standard AK wood? Thanks In case curious. Going to strip the wood, and use the RIT

Anyone know of dealer selling the above mentioned Zeiss ZFK scopes?
-
I have around 5 Leapers, and I have been happy with all of them. I get what I expect for the price. I accidently order some UAG instead of UTG scopes off Amazon, 50% success rate Never heard of the East Wave site, just love how every 'Russian' scope is a SNIPER scope, every single one. What ordering experiences been with these guys, I've used Kalinka Optics and been very happy, but East Wave has some models Kalinka doesn't.

If it has really hit the fan, will you have batteries? Get some rechargeables and a SOLAR charger now, before SHTF, then get a laser, you got the dot on the target, bullet hits the target, don't even need to bring up to face!
-
I got the current Long Barrel rifle in from Classic Firearms, and it also has the big barrel. Put in the Intrafuse Tapco handguard and had to use the .308 module (it has regular and a .308) for where it holds near gas block. Serious rifle.

I really like your cut and slotted front guard! Can I send you one to do for me? Seriously.

Anyone here in Texas, have experience doing the rear conversion, and feels confident doing one for a small or some type of barter. I'm building a Saiga collection, getting one of every caliber, except the 410. At least one I feel should be converted, I'll even buy one to get converted, unless money says I should buy a converted. Thanks

Okay, there are 1:1 scale airsoft SVD rifle out there, starting around $100. Some have polymer stocks/grips/guards, some have fake wood, others have real wood? Has anyone tried modifying the front guards to fit on any Saiga, to get a closer Dragunov SVD/Tigr appearance? Can't find any references to this anywhere?

On a single gun owner level, when is the weapon ever going to get a 922 inspection? Is it like a tax audit, people love to fear it, but few ever get it?

I threaded my barrel this past weekend myself. Hope I did it right! Will test shoot it this week, now that the Tabuk style flash hider is on it from NODAKSPUD. Had it at the range the weekend, third guy out there, range master was teasing me about probably needed to Zero in my scope, said I would need with with that setup. One of the other shooters asked what I had and before I could answer, the range master said "That is a Dragunov, its a Russian sniper rifle" I've accomplished my task!
-
Just waiting for the flash hider, then I'd call it finished. My goal, when I look at it, feel like I have a Dragunov, when I'm at the range - everyone think I have a Dragunov Total outlay, including FFL transfer fee, and a gallon of Boiled Linseed Oil (Home Depot doesn't sell smaller BHO) $846.78

Bolt on, just incase I can't find a reasonable gunsmith to thread my barrel, or to have to look until I do. All pictures I see of SVD, there is a gap between trigger and magazine, the PSL, no gap. So the trigger placement seemed right. Look at this poster, its like that! http://www.flickr.co...son/5379498885/ I ordered a airsoft SVD to put on the wall, to look 'exactly' like an SVD
