In the past I've owned 2 different Saiga's built with folding stocks. The top one was built by Red Jacket Firearms and the bottom one was built by Elk River Tool and Die. As you can see, you have to cut the receiver in 3 different spots and add all of the folder hardware.

It's a Russian AK74 laminate stock set (not cheap). When I say "new", I mean that it's never been fitted to a rifle (or hardly even handled for that matter). But, it's not "off the assembly line new". It's probably been sitting in a crate somewhere in Europe or Russia for God knows how many years before I got my grubby little American hands on it.

I thought the only NFA toys that are legal in Kansas are SBRs? I know that there's a bill that's trying to be passed right now to change the laws. I'm from a farm outside of Hays and bring my SBRs back whenever I visit. But, I hope the laws change so I can bring my "can" too!

My Mom still drives an 83' diesel Rabbit. The thing is so loud she has to wear freaking ear plugs and she's hit like five deer in it (they live on a farm in the middle of Kansas). But, the point is it's still alive and kicking. I quit asking what the mileage was about 100,000 miles ago. But, my Dad still brags that it still gets over 40 MPG!
