  1. For $1800 and the hell of it I would go with the KRISS Super V. Good Luck finding what ever you decide!
  2. +1 I have picked up everything else I wanted a while ago. Now the GSG5 SD will have a range mate.
  3. +1..I was hoping for the best in the election...but a week before I picked up another S12 and since I was there figured I needed a M70 yugo under folder too. Congrats on the New AR!
  4. I hope/think your right...but right now it feels like I'm pissing into the wind.
  5. Sorry I don't do facebook...Not to mention the 30 rd Glock21 mags I bought on Friday for $19.99 are now selling for $49.99. I guess I will re-evaluate where I take my business...
  6. Tried looking for a couple things for pricing and all I get is: "Cheaperthandirt.com does not sell firearms".....in big red letters. It shows pricing until you click on the item....SMH
  7. I was into ARs first and then one day at the range a buddy of mine pulled out a converted S12...I shot it and my wallet has yet to recover. LOL Feel free to ask any questions you have...
  8. As in armadillos? What do you hunt those for? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ but when I was in graduate school in TN. you southern boys eat some funky things. I have had to finish off many an armadillo because for some reason my German shepard did not like them. LOL. Yes sir armadillos....I don't hunt them specifically and I don't eat them...but the landowners/farmers that grant me access ask that I remove them from their property if the opportunity arises..they are destructive little critters....
  9. 5.56 will work, I have taken hogs and deer with it too. I only use SP for hunting, whatever the caliber, and shot placement is always key. The thing I found with the 5.56 round is it is more easily deflected by a small branch or tall grass. Anyone who has spent anytime in the woods knows that sometimes you don't always get perfect shoot placement for any number reasons ...All I am saying is if SHTF and dinner depends on what I bring out of the woods I am taking something larger than 5.56. They just passed new regs here to let you hunt hogs, yotes, and dillos with NV on private land......I
  10. Palmetto State does make great stuff....I got couple of stripped lowers from them and built them up with their Ultimate lower build kits..I have been very impressed. They also run great deals on ammo all the time.
  11. +1 5.56 is great for predator hunting, yotes and the like, but I wouldn't want to rely on it for anything bigger. .308 is great for hunting bigger game but for most people a AR-10 platform is too heavy to hunt with on a regular basis or in a SHTF situation. Although it is not a very popular round the 6.8 is best of both worlds...It's light like a 5.56 platform but has a lot more stopping power. I like the SSA Sierra 110gr pro hunter round it is great for pigs and deer.
  12. I would answer this question first. I would also recommend a free floating barrel which ever way you go.
  13. Looks like an awesome day!!! Congrats! Nothing like a bend in the rod and screaming drag to keep you warm!!! It will be spring before the big boys show back up in the surf of the Outer Banks...can't wait to sling some bait!
  14. If your willing to travel and not afraid of heights the wireless industry is good place to start. Most towers were built 20+ years ago and are constantly in need of more steel to support todays technology, i.e LTE, certified welders are always in demand.
  15. +1 If I could get some of that I would never have to buy another tree stand.
  16. The best thing about these is that they would fit in a water bottle!
  17. I would prefer no lock at all but I have kids so I have to keep all my firearms locked up at all times. I forgot to mention that my model does have a key and a power cord.
  18. I recommend the GV1000D. Have one in my night stand..There is enough room for a full size handgun and other stuff, i.e. extra mag, surefire light, cash, passport and even with the light the battery life is excellent. Get the cable with it...I anchored a small eye bolt in the stud behind the night stand to secure it.
  19. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/honolulu-after-pearl-harbor-a-report-published-for-the-first-time-71-years-later/2012/12/06/e9029986-3d69-11e2-bca3-aadc9b7e29c5_story.html To anyone who has every put on a United States Military uniform...Thank You for your service and God Bless!
  20. I understand what the guy trying to say... trigger time is a good thing. I think one thing he has not realized that some in my generation, I'm 35, have been around the AR-15 platform for 20+ years now. I remember the day the old man brought home two Colt Sportsters right before the Clinton ban, which I still have. Growing up I spent way more time on the ARs than I did the shotguns or dear rifles due to the ARs lack of recoil. I am as comfortable on a AR as I am on the model 700 or the break down 12 gauge. Two models I still use to this day for hunting along with ARs. I can't thing of a better
  21. Mine is pretty simple....I live in SC and if there is a season for it I am catching/killing it. Deer and Hogs are my favorite but it really doesn't matter...yotes, ducks, turkeys, ect....If I have free time I am in the woods or on the water. Got love a state where the deer season goes from 8-15 to 1-1 and depending which zone you hunt no limit on bucks....did I mention hog season is year round day or night.
  22. Facebook......never have never will... In this day and age if you don't believe you are under constant surveillance then your damn fool. Hell most of us wont' leave the house without grabbing our personal tracker, ie cellphone. It's a GPS transponder and radio transmitter. If you think that you are the only one that control what and when it transmits then you just need to go back to sleep. Hell we voluntarily give up our shopping habits just to save a couple bucks!! Think about it...if you use one of those buyer discount cards they can tell if you are regular or not every month by how much
  23. I would normally say move the trigger back to it's original position..but given the current political climate.....I would buy all the mags and ammo I could afford...That is where it is going to start......eliminating high cap mags and taxing ammo....its just a matter of when. Parts will be around for a while.
  24. That converted S12 at Classic doesn't even come close to that factory original S12-07 at KVAR. The one at KVar was never in sporter configuration and has all Russian components. I would gladly pay a few more $ to get the factory Russian 12-07. It is a really good deal. At least with it, you get to chose which componenets you want to be made in the US, if you decide to run hi-cap mags. A US mag and a US FCG will make it 922r compliant. They mean weak bulk birdshot, in essence. Mine will run most commercially available ammo, outside of some low recoil loads, but I do a little work to them to
