I'm no Einstein but why not rotate the whole damn thing 90 degrees and have the mag stick out to the right or left. The shells could eject to the top or bottom. The sights could be readjusted to the sides. Hell, I dunno if it would work but it would be a solution to curved mag problems. Besides people shoot AKs side-ways all over the world.

They are local (DFW). I have seen one of the r22s at a gun shop up the road and it looks to be quality work. The 5.7x28 would be a neat little varmint cartridge. I can not wait to see the finished product. A rifle that uses the p90 magazine will be cool by any definition.
