  1. I'm in San Antonio, TX - available Mon-Wed (Work 3rd shift Thu-Sun) PM me if interested.
  2. For the sake of posterity I have made a PDF of the post, page 1 only (couldn't figure out how to get to page2). BP_02_modification.pdf I hope someone gets some use out of it. If someone can figure out how to get to page 2 I'll complete it.
  3. Actually, you notch the safety lever, not the dust cover. Since the safety lever is down while you are firing I don't see it as an issue, although with it up (safe) there is a small hole in the overall covering. I use the original Saiga BHO, but I don't really like it. Since I got a new dremel tool for Christmas, I may try to notch my safety lever myself. The cost to buy one pre-notched is too high for me.
  4. 1954 707 316 Thanks for doing this Mike!
  5. Is that the factory stock? Who did the camo job and how much? M.O.A. @ 50 yrds? Thanks!
  6. For that kind of money get 3 x Master Molder mags. I just got 4 x Master Molder mags in an E. German pouch from I.O. Inc. for $39.95 + S/H. I whined about the shipping and got it for $50.00 delivered. I now have 7 of them. They are light, count for 3 x US parts and I haven't had any feed problems. I just hate to spend $30.00/mag (list). Edit: Well, last time I looked the expected price for the TAPCO mag was $30.00. At $17.95 with a lifetime guarantee they are much better, but I still like $9.95 for the Master Molders
  7. Only shave them off if you DON'T plan on reusing the factory handguard.
  8. I just e-mailed the link to everyone in our company. We are about 45% prior military w/ Army, Air Force and Marines represented. Who ever made the video did a great job!
  9. I wonder how long it will take for Chicago and New York City to follow suit?
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those WASRs rebuilt here by Century? I thought they added parts, like FCG, piston, receiver and now (with the new rules) barrel. If so, with all those new parts (6) you can even use the original muzzle device. . .
  11. I did the mod of which you speak (Dinzag's bullet guide and file mag catch) and I use my factory 10 rd for bench shooting w/o any issues. Yes I have used both Yugo steel LRBHO mags and the Master Molder plastic mags w/o any issues (except for the feed lips I had to fix on one of the Yugos).
  12. Doesn't heating the barrel up like that ruin the temper of the steel?
  13. Here is the one from RockerMounts. This is the new one I was thinking about. Beryl-style mount
  14. It is the "Beryl-style" mount. It was available from DHParms at one time for $75.00 IIRC. Someone else is making them now cheaper. I thought I bookmarked it, but I can't find it now, sorry. . .
  15. From the photo and description it would appear to be correct.
  16. http://www.blackthorneproducts.com/ go to products, AK accessories and Dustcover Tactical mount $75.00
  17. IIRC Century FCGs were / are noted for their "trigger slap". There is a modification posted in various places that shows how to cut down the back portion of the disconnector to eliminate this. Basically, make the Century disconnector look like the on in the Tapco G2 FCG and you'll be OK.
  18. At least they're out of the gene pool now. Perhaps a Darwin Award candidate. . .
  19. Good one 1911! I thought I recognized it from ASL, although not quite the same. I'll be traveling in a couple of weeks and I'll try it if I see any service members get it.
  20. Thanks Terrace.... Got it.....but I guess if you file the mag catch then the Saiga specific mags wont work??...thats the trade off right?? So I guess I better decide which way I want to go early before I buy too many of either type. Thanks again. Mayday You can always file the underside of your magazine locking tabs instead, if you don't think you'll be owning many mags. I personally like filing the rifles mag catch so any AKM magazine can be used. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++1 Preach it!!!!!
  21. OK, what the heck is it? I've never seen it before. . .
  22. Yes, and MAA is $11.00. I get hit w/ $5.00 in tax, because CDNN is in Texas.
