  1. Not weird at all. Or I'm just trying to make myself feel better for doing the same thing. If I see ammo of any sort selling for less than I think it's worth I tend to buy as much as I can afford. If I was low in any that I did use I would do things differently
  2. All my s-12's have that, none of my saiga rifles do even tho the part would fit. I would consider myself lucky if I got that set up on a rifle-even tho you probably don't need it,it is still a nice touch
  3. Lone eagle - any thing can be to expensive, as a USA based poster said even with private insurance there are limits. I'm very glad I'm not having to make those sort of decisions under any sytem. As to shoving anything up my arse- fuck you cunt, people should be able to talk about ideas without that sort of talk so that people can decide what ideas they like. I get that you disagree with me and I respect that without you needing to stoop to that level. Well over a hundred posts on a few forums(most coming from people who don't want it) and while some people are very heated not one pers
  4. Thanks for the comments people, I can be hard to understand a issue from the other side of the world esp when there is such a deference in the historical norms. I posted my questions on most of the forums that I use, this being the only firearms related one. My understanding off how medical stuff now works in the USA and what is being introduced is much better now. I am still very happy to live in and pay (thru tax) for the system that my country has. It looks like we have a much higher rate of people in productive employment to fund it. It seems like ileagal immagration a
  5. No they don't, the doctors decide. Basically if it is whatever is thought to be best practice. To give you a idea the main reason I have posted on this subject is I had to use my local emergency department last week. It was in the early hours of Sunday morning-a very busy time in a emergency department. I was seen by a nurse in under thirty seconds and was handed straight onto a doctor(who was from Texas). I ended up staying two nights and getting a few CT scans and a whole lot of blood feast as well as lumber punchers. Cost to me? $0 i Due to racing motorbikes and down hill mountain
  6. So you are saying that $ are not access issue? So a baby born to pore or bad parents should not have healthcare because they can't pay?
  7. I don't live in the USA so I probably don't full understand the issue. I live in a country were in most cases you don't pay for the hospital and most people only pay a token amount for normal doctors visits and proscriptions. NZ does this by the government acting as the insurance company. They also own the hospitals. From what I understand(please correct me if I'm wrong) they way that is being talked about for the USA is that you will be forced to use a privet insurance company to insure against paying bills at a privet hospital. I personally be think that it is a basic human right
  8. I have had a few norinco 870 clones and they are mostly good, a bit heaver than the real thing and can benefit from some polishing of action surfaces but for the $ they are sweet! In NZ I bought a second hand noronco 870 with a factory 12" barrel and goast ring sights for about us$200 and love it so much I'm on the process of getting a real one made with top if the line parts I have had a few norinco 870 clones and they are mostly good, a bit heaver than the real thing and can benefit from some polishing of action surfaces but for the $ they are sweet! In NZ I bought a second hand
  9. As long as you can get a Australian import permit there should be no problems getting one from NZ. Gun city is a good start-they do bill themselves as the biggest gun shop in the world. That said they are far from the cheapest so if you care to jump thru the hoops there are a few people who bring them into NZ and sell them on trademe(nz auction site) fora lot less. There are also a lot coming up on the second hand market in nz so maybe a email to both an Australian and nz police arms officer to find out the details of what you have to do. Out of interest on what basis are you allowed a s
  10. I mate has one and he has taken the magwell off so he can run a drum and use the saiga 8 round stick mags.

    Slugs For Cheap

Cheap is relative, about nz$0.55/us$0.45 a shell for hunting ammo if you 250 rounds at a time. I won't need to buy any to try this out tho as I have a fair amount stashed away from a bulk buy a few years ago. And I will be saving the shot as I have a source for old plumbing lead Even better I have found a new loadall2 for sale for half price

    Slugs For Cheap

I will be using a melter that I made some time ago for casting 9mm Slugs are much less common in NZ than they are in the USA so the $ savings will be much greater

    Slugs For Cheap

This would have to be one of the more helpfull threads on the forum I'm ordering a slug mould and loadall on payday
  15. Does anyone know of any install instructions for the Russian folders?
  16. I have low rings on the same setup, the scope is mounted in frount of the rear sight block
  17. Well things are coming along-a new crown job and its no longer key holing! Now to work up a load that groups better, and that will feed from moded styer aug mags (the cheapest .223 mags in my part of the world)
  18. The paradox cut my groups to a third of what they were
  19. an update the rifle only cycles subsonic ammo with the can fitted-no big deal the rifle keyholes @ 50m-big problem
  20. Cool project, I am confused tho- why are some of your bunnys called new Zealand? I live in NZ and none of the thousands of bunnys I have shot look like your photos. That said I have seen pet bunnys that look like your photos
  21. From my understanding as long as its under US$100 its fine. I have bought a lot of stocks from the USA from comapnys that take ITAR very seriously the law about the stock entering a country may be another thing but that is not your problem. if in doubt please ring/email your local govement department that deals in souch things rather than just saying no. give the free market a chance!
  22. things are coming along nicely I now have the rifle that it will be built from in hand and should have the can sometime today. It turns out ITAR is not the problem for reamers but supply/demand is. the good news is that a smith I have used before has one on order so ill wait however long it takes for his to show up,this works for me as I will have to save for the next steps. I plan on doing photos as this project happens but I think it will be a few weeks until anything more happens
  23. It's a import for you so of course it'd be higher. What are some domestics for NZ? If by domestics your talking about localy made firearms there is only custem guns, nothing off a prodution line. That said nz is gun country so there is a lot of custem makers, mostly small outfits as nz is only a small country
  24. the only problem is I dont get payed in us$ so it is a bit more expesive than it may at first look. That said a remington 700 in stainless is about nz$1350/us$1100 to put it in perspective
