Margin of error for slugs weight?
IndyArms replied to Turbo.M777's topic in Reloading and Ammunition
To be THAT light... theres gotta be some tin or another metal mixed in... the only way to really tell for certain what, or how much, would be to do a brinell hardness test on them to see what they spec out at... If you are getting 418 grains.... thats .955 ounces... thats a difference between your 1oz load data and the actual slug weight by about TEN #6 sized shot pellets, or FIFTEEN #8 sized shot pellets worth! As long as you are using 1 oz load data... I cant imagine its going to make ANY difference except MAYBE a slight increase in velocity... and I DO MEAN SLIGHT... LOW double digit in -
hmm... maybe they could put a chip in your hand... that would allow you to make your purchases in the currency of the time... and track everything... ME? I will pass... too revelationistic for this boy...

pistol and rifle primers are also not quite the same thickness, either...

As a CURRENT resident of the state of NY... let me say this... Even under the SAFE act, firearms are legally able to be transferred between IMMEDIATE FAMILY with no need for the FFL transfer/4473. He is IMMEDIATE FAMILY. the firearms are already IN NY... its not like they are passing THROUGH NY... Regardless of HOW he obtains them... whether through a will, or his mother giving them to him, etc... the firearms are legally his and he can posess them in NY, and leave with them. The only STICKY points then, are the NUMBERS of firearms... there are provisions in the SAFE ACT, and even

Since they moved to the NSFW nature as was inevitable, and lets be honest... very wonderful... They needed to be moved to the FUNNY STUFF / potentially NSFW section... This note is a heads up as to where to go to ENJOY THEM!!! Keep up the GOOD WORK!!! ( just in the proper sections! LOL )

my reloading is done in the reloading room, off the kitchen. its about 12 by 18... Storage is either the attic or the basement. The GARAGE ?? well... the garage is kept for the garage stuff... outdoor tools, workshop tools, work bench, riding mower, air compressor, generator, etc... odd I never park the car or truck in the garage unless I need to work on it... LOL

I would wholeheartedly AGREE that she IS INDEED not only a BRIGHT woman, but a GOOD politician... how else do you think shes managed to stay elected for so long? and shes gotta be smart to sidestep the COMMON SENSE questions that would fuck up her desires to DISARM the world!!! And politics??? hell... any CRIMINAL can be a politician... shows she just GOOD at THAT too!!! He never said she was a politician with any COMMON SENSE... just intelligence. And certainly no sense of REASON... or LOGIC... Nor did he say that ANYONE LIKED HER!!! hahahahaha

Anyone tried loading heavy (148grn?) x39 ammo?
IndyArms replied to XdamagedX's topic in Reloading and Ammunition
You can load 150's in them... its tricky to get the right powder for the proper load density to get the rounds to fit magazine length ( as noted above ) also... there is NO DATA for loading ammo of that weight... so ya gotta kinda "roll your own" so to speak... and back off powder weights... thing is... you start hitting the point of diminishing returns... less powder = less velocity = less bullet energy even with the heavier bullet... you wind up with less hitting power than you would if you just went with a standard load in the proper weight... -
I was in a Gander Mountain not too long ago and they had an amply supply of all calibers. Good luck and I hope you find some. If you were at a Gander Mountain... that means that they were selling that ammo at double to triple the retail price you could find it anyplace else ( when ammo was in stock everyplace else... )

Green or Red and Value Laser Sights
IndyArms replied to Remek's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Get one of the 45-50 dollar GREEN lasers on ebay... that mount to a picatinny rail. they are all pretty much the same inside... Sure you can spend 200 dollars for a name brand one... and get the EXACT same LASER DIODE... the metal parts MIGHT be a LITTLE better... but really when it boils down to it... the cheap ones do the same thing. I have had one for YEARS now... still functions just as well and BRIGHT as day ONE!!! That is if you want to USE THE LASER DURING THE DAY!!!! If you need it ONLY for dusk/dark use... then a red will work. You will NOT see a red laser outside on a brigh -
I would really recommend AGAINST filing away at your locking lugs... they are made to fit TIGHT for a REASON... the bolt on these shotties ALWAYS sticks before going fully into battery if you are EASING the bolt home... pull it back and LET GO like a man... dont pussy it and its FINE... As far as failure to fire... that should have nothing to do with going into battery. Also... if you have an S12... you posted in the WRONG SECTION...

Saiga 20 not ejecting shells. Ive tried everything.
IndyArms replied to mamassingale's topic in Saiga-20
First... make sure you are NOT limp wristing it... Have you been shooting SLUGS or buckshot and get this issue? Or ONLY birdshot??? If only birdshot... try some slugs... also mine took a season of trap league to break in... thats 100 rounds a week for 12 to 16 weeks... sure its a pain... but on the trap line, the4y prefer auto's to NOT eject anyways, so it was WIN WIN for me! LOL -
Do this and you are in violation of federal law... just an FYI... UNLESS THE BARREL IS REMOVED FROM THE FIREARM FIRST!!!! It is illegal to cut the barrel below 18 and attach a muzzle device to make it legal again... unless you have the appropriate firearms licensing... Again... just an FYI... be careful... be legal!

May your day be the best EVER!!!! ENJOY!!!!! Happy Birthday to you ALL!!!! -
Glad it helped you out!!! My plunger misses the tab now and then, too... I have to fiddle with it now and again... as its rare I adjust it... not a big deal. Its not like its something I have to adjust every mag or two, THEN it would be a hassle... now its nothing I even worry about. Any other questions, please ask!!

take a cleaning rod with a brush on it... make a mark on one SIDE of the rod ... after its completely through the barrel... then make a mark at the bore... ( on the rod...) pull out ... counting revolutions of the first mark, and then measure to the point it comes out of the bore... do the math... and calculate number of turns it made per length... It may not be PERFECT but it will be REALLY close!!!

so buy 10 100 packs... then you make your OWN brick! You SHOULD be able to swap out CCI and winchester without any issues... I use CCI almost exclusively... although I DO have a few federals... no issues swapping them back and forth...
