Dman 0
Very nice! I wish I could figure out that handguard trick so I could do it to my 410 and 308.
BlenderWizard 12
ok, so tell us about the brake

Doerdie 0
Very nice job! I like it, but something about that muzzle brake looks strange . It looks to be blocking the muzzle partially?
CrazyJ 0
That's perspective. You're seeing part of the curve back up and over.

BlenderWizard 12
RE: the brake. It's a US-made slant brake. It deflects gases upwards which pushes the muzzle downwards, greatly reducing muzzle rise. I can assure you that it is installed correctly. It's just how the picture came out. Did the brake fit right on, or did you have to modify it to make it work?
Good_stuff4me 0
Did you have to move your front sight back? I know that some of the guys move their front sight back to make room for their muzzel break, but that looks really clean, I like it. ~Seth

BlenderWizard 12
Now, my next question is: what did you refinish it with?
Smiley_Guy 2
Nice work, really professional. I've read about taking the FSB and gas block off. Looks light a tough job without messing up the barrel/parts. How did it go?

Bvamp 604
im just curious why you chose to not replace the front sight assembly with one with a bayo lug and a cleaning rod holder....

RooK 0
2nd Gunman, I think I might have discovered a make shift retainer for the Tapco handguard, by accident. 1" Tasco scope ring appear to have the same radius edge as the recess in the front of the forend. I think with a piece of wood acting as a spacer to get a tight fit (1" - .8"), getting rid of the tip-off mount on the bottom of the rings, and a few recess cuts into the forend it might be able to hold it on and not look too bad. This sounds VERY interesting. Please start a new thread on this if you find out anything more about this. I don't mind dremelling on a cheapo scope ring, but I don't like hacking directly on the firearm unless I have to.
