VanKiller 322
Here's a couple new items. Don't overgas your gun, things break. Spare bolt carriers are not available. Also that lump in the barrel didn't come from the factory. That was a bore obstruction. I didn't even bother to take a pic, but, if you screw up the profile on your hammer so bad it hits the edge of the bolt stem and not the firing pin, it's not the factories fault... Spartacus 1,619
Amazing what people will try to claim under warranty. Could that bolt carrier be salvaged by welding it?
KrisFox 69
I'd like to see a thread of all the mangled stuff you get from Bubba.

G O B 3,516
Great thread, FUBAR pix are always entertaining - in a macabre sort of way.
chevyman097 2,579
man hes lucky thats all he broke. This may be a "duh" question..but did that come off a saiga 12? I bet he was in for a shock when you said...so ya bud, what happened was...
VanKiller 322
Yes, these were from three different 12 ga guns. The barrel will end up on a 12 inch gun. The carrier will end up in my 8 inch machinegun. And the bad hammer job is going back to the vendor who did the conversion.
Ruffian72 548
Use to do serious 4X4 offroad. We all busted lots of stuff, sometime it was caused by ignorance. Never had the gumption to see if parts were warranty covered. Some stuff people pull, either amuzed, or amazed.
3ac6ucb 24
What if, hypothetically, the bolt carrier legitimately breaks? What then? Since they're not available as spares does RAA have to cannibalize a new gun? Seems like a bunch of BS if you ask me.

3ac6ucb 24
Dang. It's a shame they can't get in spare parts. Guess if you repair enough f-ed up guns though, you tend to build a collection of spares anyway.
eric1785 15
Dam! So whats over gassed? Shooting highbase loads on setting 2?

Racer 27 37
Dam! So whats over gassed? Shooting highbase loads on setting 2? Yes. Use setting 1 for high brass. Think of it as the smaller the number, the less gas allowed in. So for weaker shells have it on setting 2 you would want to let more gas in so it cycles correctly. corbin 621
I'm just glad I was able to pick up a spare S-12 carrier, bolt, recoil spring assembly and receiver cover a while back. I agree though....we need more spare parts.
