ChileRelleno 7,071
This is cool, not sure of exactly where in the former USSR, nor of the actual school or military activity it is associated with. Some say that this is part of obligatory class in school teaching civilian preparedness, or something like our ROTC, or just something fun to do at summercamp. Some of these kids are pretty damned fast, and the blonde is cute too boot. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a19_1361905919 Edited March 6, 2013 by ChileRelleno

Razr 23
I surprised they still doing it. I grew up in the USSR. We had so called "initial military training" classes for last two years of the high school. That one one of the tests. The other one is to do in blindfolded in 45 seconds or less. But those AK where so loose and it was easy. I have to use a screwdriver now to unlock gas tube on my Saiga 7.62. I guess I need to do it more often.

Was discontinued in mid/late-90s, but likely to be back in Russia. Most likely, extra-curriculum school club pictured. Very good (nevertheless, magazine comes off first). Most of the satellites dropped it as well, but need info on Belarus. Azerbaijan still have it, and Kyrgyzstan just got it back.. Pre-military class in Sverdlovsk Region, Russia. Just like "back in the USSR"? (And why not?). P.S. This school's pen-pal is ...General Kalashnikov (watch at 1:32 plus), and AB Honors graduates receive certificate, signed by General himself. Wow! Remek 771
Did she check the chamber, look away, and look back to check a second time, then put a finger in there to be sure? Bad safety protocols! Just kidding. These kids are impressive, and its a great demonstration on their part. I am too old to do it as fast as them, but I think I could come close. I wouldn't though, because I baby my equipment.
gunman1 1,753
How's that polical correctness workin fer ya? While our kids are whining about how someone looked at them, these kids are gitten ready blow their head off
SgtRaven 531
Those kids (as much as their parents growing up during the Cold War) were taught and trained well to defend their Motherland. History is up for another spin. I need to drag our Russian friend Vinnie83 onto this thread to give us update on current status of society and generation pictured (and beyond the Moscow megapolis limits). misterT 174
That makes too much sense, teach kids how to defend themselves and handle weapons responsibly and give them a sense of national pride. Hell the libturds will not even let our kids say the pledge of allegiance anymore! It is well past time that the citizens of this country take reponsibility to teach our kids honor, respect, responsibility and self defence. I taught my daughter and my ex's daughters how to shoot and it gave them a real respect for weapons after seeing what they do shooting melons and jugs of water. Camping, fishing, and hiking learning nature skills, But it needs to go farther than that now with the five days of liberal indoctrinaiton that they get every week. They need some sort of Tea Party club for kids where they can have some fun and learn at the same time. Instead of spending all their time on Facebook and other liberal media sites getting even more indoctrination! Edited March 7, 2013 by misterT
vinni83 148
They do this while we teach our kids to fear them. Something's majorly FUBAR here...lol Yes ability to drink vodka, foul language, and to handle a Kalashnikov Russian men learn from their mother's milk. They can sleep the with Kalashnikov instead of a teddy bear. Joke. The show is shown in the first video is a - "circus school", designed for amateurs. Ninja tricks to get the cleaning rod that are not needed. As for military training in schools, it canceled. Something where it is introduced, with a free visit, by the administration of schools (about is what you saw in the first video), this is more than a game for teens, no serious training. System DOSAAF to operate effectively in in the USSR - revives. Local organizations are gradually established in all major cities. They are called the military-patriotic clubs. (Военно-Патриотические клубы). Teach are employed former officers (usually Special Forces instructor), they are preparing young people for a very good military level. Typically, this includes: - Tactical training - Climbing training - Survival Tactics - Orienteering - Hand to hand combat (usually Sambo) - Fire training (Kalashnikov, Viking, SVD) - Medical assistance Many clubs have teams Airsoft and teams Practical Shooting, participate in competitions. Summer being field fees. Unfortunately I have not found a video presentation of one of these teams in practical shooting, If I can find - I leave it here, but I have seen them. Believe me, it will impress any specialist. Imagine a team of Magpul Dynamics disguised in Russian Field camouflage and armed with AK-74M ... gtnichols 51
Try doing that shit with an AR, HAHAhha ??????? you will get plenty of chances to try in BCT. never went through BCT, but did do several FTXs I have had AKs for years, and just got my first AR recently, and while field stripping is similar, when you go any past that, or try to clean mechanisms within the AR, it has all kinds of springs and detents that pop out and fall on the floor and a lot of main parts are made from aluminum, and the uppers wiggle when assembled to the lower. NOT the case with an AK! and the AK stock can also fold while still maintaining it's recoil reduction. KISS. and then for christ's sake,.. why then did the Koreans make a gas operated system AR, the Daewoo DR. and American manufacturers like Ruger and others followed with similar AK gas systems like the SR 556? OK, I am on a Rant! I'm not even going to get into the 556 vs 7.62 conversation, because 7.62 wins every time! Ok, well then, this is a saiga forum anways,..
