bigkane 2
So I changed out the Arsenal plastic today for some Timbersmith Red on the Arsenal. I actually love it, but everyone I've shown it too says its ugly. Am I the only one that likes the new look?
S5snake 41
I think it makes the rifle look classy. That being said, I just recently removed and sold my red Timbersmith stock set and returned my Arsenal back into a black evil weapon. I found myself not wanting to shoot the rifle as I was afraid I was going to muck up the beautiful furniture. Looks good though.
Sdustin 578
I like it. Looks classic. I like it. Looks classic. You may want to latch your gas tube.
bigkane 2
I noticed the latch in the pic after posting it. Lol It's latched now. S5snake I just bought mine on ebay, might be yours
su16a 84
So I changed out the Arsenal plastic today for some Timbersmith Red on the Arsenal. I actually love it, but everyone I've shown it too says its ugly. Am I the only one that likes the new look? she looks pretty to me and at the end of the day all that matters is if you like. so any difference in weight or ergonomics?
Sdustin 578
It does look good. Some people are just not AK type of guys and think they are ugly. I've got a buddy, a marine, he hates a wood stock classic ak. Says it's like the enemy. But show him a saiga with the long handguard and ace style folding stock and he says it's better. I think it's just being brainwashed by they government myself.
bigkane 2
I can't tell much difference in the weight at all. I definitely like the way the wood handguards feels much better than the plastic. Buttstock has a nice pad on the end too. Arsenal stock had a metal plate.
YOT 3,743
Very nice!
canoecanoe 63
Looks good. I had the same set on a rifle I sold. The only things I didn't like was that it required some fitting and I didn't particularly like the rubber butt pad. But as for the look itself, very nice.
chevyman097 2,579
If it had a matching pistol grip it would really bring it all together IMO. You dont realize how much the PG helps bring the look together until you look at it with matching parts

You dont realize how much the PG helps bring the look together until you look at it with matching parts I have the matching pistol grip. I didn't like the way it looks, so I put the Arsenal grip back on. Here's the red grip, didn't hate it, but liked black better.
canoecanoe 63
Looks better with the red grip, if you ask me.
bigkane 2
Ok, I'm almost convinced to put it back on now.
YOT 3,743
I like the red grip better, too. It's your gun, though, so do what pleases you.

Remek 771
I have to say, my timber smith looks piss poor compared to ironwood in Russian red. I think I am seeing gen 4. I should also clarify, I like your red laminate better than mine (see avatar), but the itonwood real wood, in Russian red just rocks!
gunfun 3,931
I like it. the red grip looks better, but I hate the feel of the classic AK grip.guns are for shooting...
