Dad2142Dad 6,559
Many people lose their lives when they do not comply with a police officers commands. Here is the deal. When a police officer, sheriff, marshal etc. says stop, youd Fing do it. When they say drop the weapon, you do it. While it may be difficult to understand, put your self in their shoes. You get a call to respond to a situation. Might be domestic, might be road rage, might even be a school or church. Description is armed individual. What the fuck fills your mind? Could this be the day I die? Should I look for the orange barrel tip? What if they sanded that off? Did I put on my armor? Did I get the class 1? You arrive at the scene, they already have the suspect down and cuffed. Oh fuck Fred did the search, shit man he's a douche, you know he fails every test. Suspect is struggling, he tossed off two officers and is going for his ankle. God dammit he is pulling the .38 special from a sock....... What do you do?
PFerris 76
Watch the video, why can't 6 cops control one man that does not have a weapon? Looked pretty fucked up to me!!!

Sim_Player 1,939
Resist arrest and you risk your life, PERIOD. Hmm, if I'm homeless I've got nothing else to lose. No sympathy. I do oppose lawlessness by police and would defend the lawful no matter what. Edited March 4, 2015 by Sim_Player

JESS1344 508
DLT, THE MENTALLY ILL, WHEN THEY'VE GONE "CRITICAL MASS", ARE VIRTUALLY, TO COMPLETELY, IMMUNE TO PAIN COMPLIANCE TECHNIQUES. THEY ALSO HAVE THE STRENGTH OF SEVERAL PEOPLE, POWERED BY MASSIVE ADRENLIN DUMP. IF A USE OF DEADLY FORCE IS TRULY JUSTIFIED, IN SUCH CASES, IT USUALLY TAKES A CNS (CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM) HIT, TO SWITCH THEM OFF. SAD FACT OF LIFE..... G O B 3,516
Throw a net over the person! I have had to contain a psychotic before. It took 5 strong men to do it, we finally wrapped him in a tarp and tied him up like a rump roast. This guy was NOT just a nut, this was a dangerous man - throw a net over him and knock him off his feet. When a weapon is CONFIRMED then shoot. I find police that shoot because they 'thought he had a weapon' to be abhorrent in their cowardice.
Rhodes1968 1,638
Assuming we know what happened here, these kinds of tragedies dont really raise any outrage being just that, a sad happening that involved no corruption. What should mightily concern us is things like this: http://thefreethoughtproject.com/officer-reveals-planting-evidence-lying-part-game/ http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=229889 But that would get far too close to the bone.

gunfun 3,931
You guys talk as though the cops knew they were going to end up in a wrestling match. Sure if you know you are going to be in a fight, a net would be handy, but do you really expect the guys to carry pepper spray, tasers nets, etc. on them? This guy apparently got shot while he was trying to grab one of the cops' guns, and had partially managed to do so. These things would make a lot of sense to keep in the trunk for when you do know you are walking into a likely fight. http://www.google.com/patents/US5750918 I've seen video of them used in israel if I got the right link. It's basically a net launcher with a net soaked in superglue. It will bolo around the person and glue their arms to their sides or pin them to the wall spider man style. They also had a version which did that plus had O.C. spray. If you've immobilized a guy, I don't see any justification for the pain though.
gunfun 3,931
Watch the video, why can't 6 cops control one man that does not have a weapon? Looked pretty fucked up to me!!! They get in each other's way. Really only 2 of them can be fighting at a time. Once the guy is pinned mostly then the other guys can hug his legs or pin an arm, but while he's actively flailing it's always going to be 2 on 1.
storm6490 2,768
The douche bag was a career criminal from Cameroon, Africa. The police didn't know that but they did know he was fucking crazy. As soon as he touched the officers weapon after putting up a fight, it was lights out and completely justified. The only reason this fuck stain was homeless is because he was a fugitive under an assumed name wanted by US Marshals. He couldn't get into France because they found another man that went by the same name and identification even after our justice department incarcerated a phony in a mental ward of a prison for many years. Pretty freaking crazy. Not sure what the big deal is. The police in that area have a terrible reputation but this video and the witnesses and evidence points to a very justifiable shooting. Not all cops are bad. Lots of worthless cops that are rotten to the core that are protected by the mafia union but some are really good guys and gals that work hard and go by the book.
patriot 7,197
Wrong title. BUM. Not that "homeless" P.C. crap. Resist a cop, get dead. Simple. Fight 'em in court.
gunfun 3,931
That's a bit too simple. Resisting an unlawful command or unlawful force from a cop who is currently showing intent to hurt you or plant evidence is justifiable. Especially if it is clear that court later won't help with a possible dead now situation. These things are seldom cut and dry.
