  1. If I was planning for a S.H.T.F. and or AW ban.(I am) Get a 10 gun safe, buy 5-10 mosin 91/30 or M44's and at least 5000 rounds. They're not the fastest rifles to shoot, but you could arm your neighbors and they can reach out there (rifles) way out there.
  2. XD vs Glock? I'll go with a Glock everyday of the week. I really like being able to service and replace any and all parts as I see fit. The aftermarket is endless. Being able to change calibers on the same frame makes the Glock a versatile weapon platform. I wish you could try the trigger on my G21,the take up is like pulling your finger through water and it brakes cleanly at 2 lbs. and the reset is just under 1/8". What do mags for an XD run? Glock mags are 20$ I paid a bit more for my mags back in 99 but I live in Cali. Try everything first, ask people at the ranges you frequent.
  3. I'll slap Mr. Fuckin genius just because his ad says No CA sales. The GSG5 is perfectly legal in Cali. His ad says he's in New Jersey, it's harder to buy a gun in Jersey than here in Cali. Moron
  4. That's pretty funny. I'm trying to get one of my out-of-state friends or relatives to order some 10+ capacity magazines for me. I'll have an Oregon address before the end of the year but I'm not sure there won't be another ban before then. I won't even bring them in-state, just want some in friendly hands. I have to go to PRK Arms tomorrow to pick up a couple of goodies and I'll see what they have in terms of improved sights. gary Ask FEDUPWBS(Jeff) how much he got for that Krink pistol last weekend at the Cow Palace gunshow. Thats right the rest of the country....A KR
  5. HunterDan, did you buy that rifle new? If you did just call up RAA and see what they will do to help you out. If not, who cares what any body says or thinks. The repair could create more problems than just leaving it alone.(if it functions properly as is)
  6. Yes you can own a pistol gripped semi auto rifle. There has to be a mag lock installed on the rifle and mags that hold more than 10 rounds cannot be used. B.T.W. Bvamp i've been spreading the good name of Cadiz around Calguns.net. I do want to say thanks to both yourself (Ben) and Tom for having the balls to step up and ship to us here in the P.R. of Kommiefornia.
  7. Ok. Now, about upgrading the iron sights on my Saiga... gary Have you looked into a tritium front post? I'm thinking about that myself. How about slapping a HK style rear sight on the dust cover. A beryl rail with some AR type irons? It may take some work and creativity but you can make it happen. If your looking at plug and play options, tritium front and a mojo click rear. About the mags, you don't want to know how much I spent on mags before 2000. Shit I got mags for guns I don't have yet.
  8. In CA where I'm from, the converted Saiga are worthless, so I had Cadiz add a bullet button, Tapco hammer, piston and disconnect as well as add wood furniture. All you need is a USA follower or Base plate and you are good to go WHAT....WORTHLESS???? Ahhh, the Monster Man Grip is an option. Thats what i'm running on all of my off list rifles. I like to drop my 30 round mags.
  9. I had an issue with one of Dinzags B.G. I e mailed Brian and he told me that Saiga had changed a demension on the bolt. My rifle would not lock up in battery. The B.G. wasn't allowing the bolt to spin into place. Brian cleared it up right away. He sent me 2 new B.G. and 5 bucks to pay for my shipping costs. Dinzag is a Class act. You will never go wrong when buying any of Dinzags parts.
  10. I had someone offer me 800$ for my unconverted 7.62. Naaa I don't sell guns, my 03 says i'm a "collector"
  11. Basically to drill it in straight. I suppose that you can do it by hand, but make sure it is straight, or the bullet guide won't work properly, at least if you buy the one from Dinzagarms. The bullet guide is held in with the screw, and if it is even canted to a side just a little bit, it will protrude above the bullet guide plate, and the bolt will not go into battery. The bottom edge of the bolt may hang up on the head of the screw if it is not in straight. Just remember drilling it is a one shot deal. If you screw up, you will have to find another way to secure the bullet guid
  12. You guys up there should fight that "type" law. California had a "Series ban" against AR and AK rifles and it was challenged and was thrown out in 2000. Now all AW's have to be banned by name or feature.
  13. I think part of the "non-conversion-conversion" is so the rifle is legal in all 50 states. That is very smart from where I sit. Too many vendors and dealers close themselves off to California gun owners. If a dealer could sell to just 1/2 of a % of us that's still 175,000 people to make money from.
  14. Something new and different so they can double the price.
  15. I got 2 of them from my 7.62's. PM me with your info and i'll send you 1. I know where they are.
  16. Paternoster 2012, dude thats looks fukn sweet! I just got an idea. Get a low profile rail, hit it with a dremel to fit the radius of the dust cover. Drill two holes and tap the rail. Punch two holes in the dust cover and run a couple machine screws inside out to secure the rail. Slap on a back up iron sight from an AR and play around. Shit I need to get a rail now.
  17. Darin, you should go back and read 12276.1 completely. I have my yellow A.T.F. book right here. A shotgun with a detachable mag is only considered an A.W. if it's SEMI AUTO. The law for shotguns is the same for rifles, execpt for the "revolving cylinder" . Thats the key right there. Do you remember the Valtro 12ga shotguns? Detach mags but they were pump guns, not A.W.'s. Ben (Bvamp) keeps referring to Federal laws for the 5 round shotgun mag. I thought the Fed A.W. law expired in 2004.
  18. You only need the us parts count if your gonna use standard capacity mags, or doing a conversion.
  19. Don't forget about the gas piston Dinzag offers. There is U.S.A. AK mag followers that fit Saiga mags. Being in California keeps me from having a pistol grip if I want to have detachable mags. If I want to have "The streets will run red with the blood of puppys and kittens Evil Black Rifle" Then the mag needs the use of a tool to remove. With the bullet buttons and other mag locks we have here it still pretty quick to switch mags. If a mag lock is on the rifle than the mag cannot hold more than 10 rounds. Hows that for some fuckin hoops to jump through. Also Dinzag has F.C.
  20. No they don't have much in the way of "normal" people. Everybody who had a pair joined the military to defend that island, now 60 years later they have lost.
  21. Mr. Smith, what i'm doing to my Saigs is changing the stock, handguard, piston, F.C.G., and the followers and baseplates in my pre bans. I'm in Cali and am very limited to what i'm able to do. If I want to use pre ban mags then no pistol grip for me. Now what I described is my set up, you could skip the F.C.G. and still be compliant but you have to use a U.S.A. mag or swap the follower and baseplate. Dinzag's site has tutorials for just about everything he sells, and offers "kits" which include drill bits and taps. He really makes it too easy, if you go to a gunsmith your throw
  22. Get a dremel or some type of high speed rotory tool. There are cone shaped stones that you can sneek in there to grind the catch down. My rifles can still use the stock mags or any AK mags.
  23. This is true, but if said rifle has a mag lock(tool needed to remove mag) then all "evil features" are 100% legit. If you want to move the F.C.G. and use standard A.K. mags then you go with a "featureless" build. A featureless is only 1 "evil feature" that would be the detachable mag.
  24. Wow man, everybody talks so much shit about Cali. laws. New Jersey is far more restrictive. The only thing that has to be locked is handguns and registered A.W.'s. The handguns only have to be locked if they're conceled. If you wanted you just throw your unloaded pistol on the dash (exposed) and stuff a loaded mag in your pocket.
  25. The only reason I wrote this is because I have had about 15 different people ask me about CA law with regards to Saiga's and other weapons. Trust me, if I didn't feel it necc., I would not have done it. I don't like typing that much. The comment about no replies was a joke. I didn't expect any replies, what would anyone say. Most of the problem/misinterpretation comes with the law stating no detach mags are legal with shotgun's, so therefore there is no definition of a hi cap mag specifically for shotguns. California, however did not see the writing on the wall in regards to
