  1. On behalf of the dicks of this forum - caps lock is for dicks, dick.
  2. I would love to see some of your newer rifles. My experience with past builds was less than positive - I saw a few rifles that were assembled very well, many had canted parts or other problems. It's great to hear that you've put so much effort into improving quality control in your build process. I wasn't aware that you were constructing 100% American AK rifles. That's fantastic. Although personally I have no problem with surplus parts in AK rifles because of the nature of the platform, it's great to know that someone has assembled the tooling to build them completely in the US without relian
  3. This is too good. Wonder if he actually had the nads to send the letter in.
  4. Gun shows are a great place to look. I picked up a bunch of 54R crates for $5 a pop at the last show.
  5. SPF to Wagnikov Wow, 3 minutes. That's gotta be some kind of record.
  6. WTS my original Chaos Porkypine. This has been briefly test-mounted on a Saiga-12 maybe two or three times, but has never been left mounted, nor has it been used. Aside from having been test mounted, it is in factory new condition with nothing but a few handling marks - pics can be provided on request. It will ship in the original box it was sent to me in by Chaos, in the factory bubblewrap. I'm asking $350 shipped OBO anywhere in the US. Please know your local laws - I don't know if this might be somehow illegal somewhere, if it is, please don't try to buy it.
  7. islam is actually the newest of the three main branches of religion originating from ancient judaism. Modern judaism, christianity, and islam. islam has been around since the 7th century (600's).
  8. I've been meaning to ask someone who owns a mini - is there enough space on that gas tube for an upper handguard retainer? I'd love to own one eventually, but I'm not fond of the Galil-esque handguard - I'd much rather have a separate upper and lower wooden handguard, and eventually, a fixed wood stock.
  9. Disagree. Firearms are designed to reliably expel projectiles. Some are certainly designed for use in combat - and in that sense, are intended to assist human beings to kill. But ultimately, it's the operator who chooses what to throw lead at - a gun is no more designed to kill than a spoon is designed specifically for pudding.
  10. He makes great stuff, but he's such an ass on the phone. The ordering process is unnecessarily complicated, and he explained that as, "well, the customer has to do some of the work, that's not my job." That turned me off from a ~$200 order a while back. Can't put in an order over the phone, and the exact combination of items I wanted wasn't available as a set - I was supposed to print out a damn order form (I don't own a printer), find the item numbers for the items I wanted, and mail the form in. Instead, I saved $150+ and put surplus wood on the rifle.
  11. Roses are red, Violets are blue, That was too long, I didn't read it.
  12. Your post carried a different tone from the title. The title fit very well with your name. You clearly didn't intend an attack - but that's what your thread title tastes like. I'm sure he'll make it right for you. He has an excellent reputation for being a stand-up guy.
  13. My experience with that piece of shit pistol was similar. The trigger fucking sucked and the one I had was insanely unreliable, though I've seen ones that ran well. I prefer the Walther P22, though having had a few now, and worn them out, I'm a little less fond. About 7k rounds and they start getting really rough. A Ruger Mk.1/2/3 doesn't even notice 7k rounds.
  14. He also stressed that baby wipes are great, but they HAVE to be alcohol free or the whole care package can get turned away - guys sometimes wring the alcohol out of the wipes, so they're no longer allowed.
  15. I just called a buddy who spent a few years in the sandbox, the following are quotes or paraphrase: "Candy. Fuck yeah, candy is a finite resource over there. And it can also be used for bribes - for bribing children. Basically a bribe to get them the fuck out of here, if that's make sense - get them to go away." "Little shit. Like, um oh like nail clippers, the big ones not the little ones, 'cuz the big ones can be used for many many things. Things like gum, it'll keep your mouth wet, causes you to salivate. A couple nice pairs of underwear, cotton boxer briefs - because the military briefs f
  16. Toilet paper and baby wipes. Kirkland (Costco) brand baby wipes come highly recommended for dealing with the inevitable results of MREs.
  17. Holy shit, now that I think about it a little more... This is a way to get around a LOT of import rules - these aren't legally "shotguns," so a short-barreled MKA-1919, or Saiga/VEPR (of they weren't already banned by sanction) would be importable and the "features" rules shouldn't apply. Indeed, the same should apply to other "firearms" with rifled bores - namely just about any carbine, without its buttstock, with either a sig brace or a useless tube hanging off the back end solely for OAL. It wouldn't help with most bullpup designs, but could lead to some great firearms being brought in with
  18. Looks like there's a grip afixed to the left side, used to rack it. I read that ATF letter... They're on iffy ground with that, can't see the way you use a firearm holding up in court as changing its classification. Anyway I would rather just have a long, useless extension off the back to make up the OAL, rather than that silly not-a-stock. Only thing that's a shame is because of how an AOW is defined - including that wording about concealment - you couldn't add a folding mechanism without redefining the weapon as an AOW.
  19. Fantastic! This'll create a headache in some states with their own rules/definitions, and definitely get people in some shit with LE who just see a short barrel and assume it's a felony. Here in NE it's 100% good to go, all our laws say is it's good to go if the feds say it is. Though technically inside Omaha city limits it would have to be registered as a handgun based on barrel length alone.
  20. Honestly man it's pretty clear what train of logic is being used and it's plainly spelled out. Not trying to be a dick about it, but I don't know how to parse it for you.
