  1. FOX Trekking... and compared to my Cold Steel Recon Scout.... Both are great... But, I the FOX has been the best overall Utility Knife I have ever owned. (And I had a Busse Steelheart I).
  2. Looks cool! R&D is awesome! I wanna see how it holds up. Macbeau
  3. Mark Twain once said something like: "I have never wished death on anyone, but I have read many obituaries with gleeful joy". I look forward to Piers' obit... Macbeau....
  4. I've been happy with SS Kimber's. My LGS had them for around $20 NIB and they each come with a small or large basepad (& screws). The ACT-MAG that came with my RIA is pretty sweet too. Have yet to have any issues with either. Macbeau
  5. "Don't talk to me about Naval Tradition! It's nothing but rum, sodomy and the lash!" - Sir Winston Churchill (1950)
  6. Kinda reminds me of the "Messin' With Sasquatch" beef jerky ads. I love it!
  7. Mmmmm-kay! I guess time will tell, won't it...? This means dick to me until I see it on the shelves or "available" online... Macbeau sends,,,
  8. The openings looked a tad small to me....BUT! Just the thing you need for good, efficient German sex. I am sure that would count as fore-play in the Eurozone. Need an equally effective condom remover too! Perhaps with claws! Macbeau...
  9. Another is: You abhor the death penalty, but celebrate abortion. You think that only the Police should have guns, but despise police when they using them. You believe the only reason Communism hasn't caught on is that the wrong people have been in charge. To those who would ask "why the paranoia" or "what is your sense of the countries direction", this is it! To me - we live today in a disjointed and badly dysfunctional America than the one I grew up in. It's not just the U.S. (my most direct reference point (and usually my touchstone to reality)), but this country and the world as a
  10. The reality is $200 / 500rds of decent (or any quality) 7.62x39. Simple economics - Supply vs Demand. Cost vs Profit The bad news is that given current (non-ammunition related) global demand effect on commodity prices (labor, lead, copper & brass, etc.), Couple that with domestic regulation / legislation - even if supply picks up and demand somehow manages to tapper off, I see prices remaining high. At least for the foreseeable future. Again - the best time to buy was yesterday... Macbeau...
  11. 401K's are pretax exempt on the contribution side and taxed as capital gains (currently 15%) on the payout. ROTH IRA's are post-payroll tax contributions (taxed going in on the contribution) with no tax (Capital gains or income or otherwise) on payout (after legal eligibility). Methinks that this is what he may be targeting! Tax in AND tax out... Macbeau... .
  12. Most (if not ALL?) EAA and earlier rifles can be threaded 5/8-24. Some RAA rifles can take 5/8-24; Some need 17x1mm or turn-down to take 5/8-24 - you'll need to pull the FSB and measure carefully / accurately. Dinzag can help with both (5/8 or 17mm).... He has a "muzzle thinner" that will shave a 17mm muzzle to be threaded to 5/8. Kinda like a pencil sharpener. He also has a back-boring service for the FSB and has dies/TAT's for threading . 13. Unless I am mistaken, there are still USSID's (9,13 and 18 specifically) that prevent that. I know a lot has changed in recent years, but that kind of collection (on US persons) and dissemination is still a big no-no. I also know that "many wonderful things" can happen behind closed doors. If that is not correct or up-to-date, please forgive my dated info,, but last I checked, NSA and DOD still can't collect on US persons without a waiver to the above USSID's and can't disseminate externally without something akin to an act of GOD. [According to USSID 18, you can spy on Americans--IF! I
  14. That's a good pile and more is generally better, especially when talking about ammo and sex. While not the deal of the century, I would be willing to pay that for probably another 1,000rds.- If I could even find it. Given the current market, yesterday was the "Good-Ole-Days"..... Macbeau...
  15. Maybe DHS should get into reloading. Hope they saved their brass....
  16. Good! I hope more sane and rational businesses start making some "common sense" business decisions and bring their business to states that embrace the American Constitution-loving way of life! Huzzah! Macbeau
  17. I've never had one, but my ex GF got them constantly. Lesson leaned? Drink copious amounts of water and stay away from carbonated beverages. (She usually drank only sodas - NEVER water.) Also - In the ATL area - I am surprised there is so much limestone in the water. It's all reservoir water from Lake Lanier there, which is just run-off. Here in south GA, it's ALL well-water from the Florida Aquifer - very "limey". Macbeau sends...
  18. Fixed PRO - you can shoot it from the shoulder. CON - you can't fold it for compact carry. Folder PRO - Chicks dig it and you can shoot it from the shoulder. CON - you have to buy a shorter carrying case. Macbeau sends...
  19. Look into Berdan depriming tools. Some are "hydrolic, some are "claw"... They ain't cheap, but they do work once you get the hang of them. Also - you can reload steel cases. Just not as many times as brass. I usually go for 1 - maybe 2 reloads on un-lacquered steel cases and then consider it lost. I mark the casehead with a sharpie to tell the difference. And only out of the same gun. I won't mix steel out of different guns - so no range pick-ups. Again, bullet, primers and powder are the huge limiting factors. Macbeau....
  20. Oooop! Pardon my Noobyness. Only here since early "05... I still have a lot to learn.... Macbeau... BTW - if that barrel really is a 16.3", then I really do have a 12" dick! (using his math, algorythems and conversion scale) Yeah me!
  21. Yeah - I set the soft / pure lead aside for casting minie balls or to mix especially with linotype, tin and / or antimony. Wheel weight is great for pistols and round ball. I add linotype or tin to make HV (1800+ FPS) rifle rounds.. I try to avoid gas checks, but sometimes I have to just give in... Just hate the extra step / item to buy. But, I hate barrel leading even more. I even make my own lubes. I avoid battery plates like the plague! Hate to hear you got too much of a whiff... Mask is a great idea, but I am guilty too of just "free-wheeling" it... Plumbers lead used to be a
  22. I thought they were ALL heirloom quality.?.?.? Am I missing something? Macbeau
  23. Ummmm... Care to be the pioneer of a thread dedicated to casting ammo? Hell! I'd jump in on that. Been casting for over 30 years. The problem today is finding affordable lead. One use to go to the local tire shops and haul wheel weight off by the 5 gal bucket. The newspaper use to throw out lead and linotype from their printing plates. No more... OSHA and the EPA have regulated that out of existance. Casting is relatively easy, once you get the hand of it. Rifle bullet need a little more attention to detail and effort than pistol bullets and round ball, but it may be the only optio
  24. I have ownerd a CJ, Mj, TJ and M151 in addition to my current JK unlimited. The JK is the best by far... Just my opinion and experience and analysis... I can go places with my (stock) JK that I only go with a modified CJ, TJ or MJ. If it doesn't have solid axles or lockers, it's just an "also ran"... I'd rather have the old IL6 (4.0) Or, the newer Pentastar... But,, the 3,8l IS ADEQUATE!
