  1. Very nice looking gun and appears to have been done well. Congrats...I like the gun just as it sits, but I also think that a vented shroud would really set it off. Good job.
  2. So here I am, minding my own business and not bothering anyone for a change. I decide to go down to one of our local gun stores that has always treated me right and pick up a new cleaning jag for one of my rifles. As soon as I walk in the door, I see the owner standing there. We make eye contact, both refusing to budge or look away and show any signs of weakness . The owner then gives me this "I own you look" and starts to laugh . I continue to stare and refuse to submit . I feel as powerful as a Spartan Warrior, almost like I am invincible and there is nothing in this store but a clea
  3. Jaymce, That was funny... Cobra, I'll be patiently waiting..
  4. Will, Wishing you a speedy recovery and I hope that it all turns out to be ok.
  5. Although the email stated that he was using a slug, I noticed that the first picture appears to be taken at a sporting clays or five stand stage. I imagine that a standard shot cup would have done the same damage..Either way, I bet it hurt like hell.
  6. Alumalite, Now sir, that is a great comeback...You have redeemed yourself...
  7. Sorry if these have been posted before, but they were just sent to me. Email stated that the shooter rested his shotgun barrel on his foot, which is common practice at many trap and skeet ranges, but then pulled the trigger. Apparently the shotgun was still loaded and one slug later, this is the result. Again, my apologies if this is old.
  8. No worries, sometimes its hard to search for what you don't know you are searching for..LOL Glad you were able to find the posts and I believe that CSS (forum business member) has some videos that show where to bend the hammer spring as well.
  9. Bvamp, I go through the same thing here in Georgia, but probably just not quite as bad as what you are experiencing right now. If it were mine, and this is only my opinion, I would think along the lines of "Work smarter, not harder" and paint the gun. I love park as well, but ease and lower maintenance almost always prevails. Wish you luck in whatever direction you take.
  10. Did you take off the top cover and check to see if there is any debris stuck down near the trigger or maybe one of the spring legs has managed to slide over and bind up. I know there are several posts from the past about placing a slight bend in the hammer spring legs to keep them from sliding over and binding. Just some thoughts....

Gunfixr, Very nice job!! I think that the two tone paint looks great and you definately have enough accessories on there to keep you entertained while shooting..LOL. I noticed that your plug is a little different than the one that I have. Is it made out of aluminum or just not coated???
  12. Azrial, We definately need to get together and have some fun one of these days. Here is my STG....
  13. I just get some old dental picks from my dentist. Most will only use them so many times before they swap them out. I ended up just asking my dentist for his old ones on my last visit and ended up with a handfull in various sizes for free. Brought them home and boiled them just to be sure. Works great and no money out of my pocket, which made it better.
  14. Nalioth, I've heard of and use the shoe spider hammer before, but I have never heard of a shoe stock hammer. I was laughing my ass off. ScoutJoe, "That part is key, if its not moving you just arn't beating it right" If I didn't know the history behind your avatar and hearing a comment like that, I might have asked if you would care to demonstrate
  15. I am looking for a stock and handguard set that work on a Maadi. I do not have a preference as to wood or plastic, but I just need a full matching set. Willing to pay any reasonable price. My current stock and handguard were damaged in an accident, so someone please let me know if you have one that you are willing to sale. Thanks in advance....
  16. Bron, After reading your post, I went and measured the barrel on my 590A1 and it came out to roughly .873 outer diameter and it is very thick and heavy. I know that I have put several Knoxx stocks on both 500's and 590's without any problem. Are you looking at the pistol grip only version or the full stock? I guess that I am a little confused as well by the whole DA comment from them as I do not know of any double action version available. I think that you would be safe with what you have to use with the Knoxx. I can send you a picture from the barrel end if this will help with comp
  17. AVP, I have both the Mossberg and the Remington. I don't think that you can go wrong with either one depending on your personal use. For patrol, I prefer the 870 due to the safety being easy to access with your trigger finger, especially when using the Knoxx stocks. But I would not hesitate to grab either one in a SHTF situation. Grab the one that you like and have fun with it. Rem 870 on top..Moss 590A1 on bottom
  18. Bron, Sounds like you had a great time..Good on you. Maybe your arm is just sore from all of the reloading that took place..
  19. That turned out very nice..Sounds like you made a good decision with all of your choices. Now, go shoot the crap out of it and let us know how it runs...
  20. This is all 100lbs of Kilo..Best friend that my family could ever ask for..
  21. +1 for the loaded stack the deck results. I'm not knocking the GB's, but the Russians should have been able to use their own or very similar equipment. ScoutJoe, Holy crap, that video is absolutely art.
  22. Or you could check out one of the business members on this forum "The Vest Guy" I'm pretty sure that he has several items that may work for you or he will custom build anything you want in just about any color. Just another option for you.
  23. Interesting posts by all. Here is my families primary backup around the house. His backup comes in the form of 9mm, .40, .45 and an 8lb Chihuahua..lol
  24. RaceGal, Another congrats to you.....Happy Mothers Day...
