  1. Doug, Always gotta feed my inferiority complex, huh? seriously - that looks good - what is the barrel length? And, if you guys could put together a gallery page on your site for some of us to drool over, that would be cool.
  2. Too bad the chances of replacing an S12 are so low right now or I'd advise shipping it and insuring it for the cost of the shotgun seein as the entire weapon is rendered inoperable without the BC
  3. If I may make a suggestion - think hard about the final height of the handle - especially in regards to the type of sights you run. I have seen some that look great but when you go to charge the weapon - you rip up the bottom of your hand on the factory rear sight. PS - Pauly has a ton of info on this subject. If he doesn't chime in - shoot him a pm - one of the most helpful guys I've ever encountered.
  4. She's beautiful. Good luck!! Wish I had the dough :dollar:
  5. I usually install the plate after the hammer pin - is easier for me to line it up with the hammer pin without the trigger pin in the way - then install the trigger pin and slide the plate onto it then slap in the safety to keep it all together. Remember that the plate locks the pins in between the shoulders on them, also it really helps to lock the spring legs around the hammer like Greg shows in the CSS conversion vids. Good luck
  6. They look better than most UTG grips I've seen. Have you checked out the Troy Industries model? Includes an extension to go full size or shorty and has storage inside. A bit more expensive but the quality is toop notch - that thumb screw on the UTG would concern me. If you look around you should be able to find them for $35 - $40
  7. +1 You beat me to it. What does HR know about any profession other than HR? Oh, and all Chicago and Cook County employees. Sorry guys - but that's why we moved
  8. Absolutely f**kin GORGEOUS!!! - How about some shots of the gas tube you made - looks like skull and crossbones? Looks great whatever it is - very creative and nice skills
  9. I am no revolver expert but I just read an interesting piece on Webleys in Dillon's March or April catalog, have to find it. Anyway the conscensus was that the cylinder is too short - they may shoot 38 SW but that is not their ideal chambering either. Do you have or are you looking to procure one? If so - I can scan the article and send it to ya - PM me if so
  10. ++111 Check out Solarforce - either on Ebay or through lighthound - I think based in TX, great Customer Service but not a business member here so no linky. They are completely modular and there is a pretty cool rail mount battery tube and some nice looking quality pressure switches. Just remember any incandescent lamp will fail under recoil. LED's work best on weapons - IMHO
  11. McMaster Carr - would be my best guess for the set screw - don't currently have anyone with an account and went with a standard cup point set screw with the idea that a soft point- brass / nylon / etc. might deform under recoil and any galling or burring caused by the knurled cup point can be filed down. And - I couldn't, for the life of me, track down a soft point when I was doing it. I have no clue on any factory thread sizes on the PB folder as I have the lift and lock - or whatever its called. I do know the threaded hole on the side of my bracket is a 10-32, ACE is a USA Made compan
  12. welcome to the site - see why its such a great place?
  13. Just to clarify - Pauly's work is so much more than appearance. While this stuff looks incredible - his process in profiling and slicking up the BCG is unmatched, I don't think anyone is too cheap to afford this service, I think you simply don't acknowledge the value. I shaped my bolt carrier enough myself to load on aclosed bolt and know enough local welders to add a vertical CH. I sent mine to Pauly and am now sending it back to utilize more of his expertise. And I am as cheap as they come. Anyone can build an AK - few can tune 'em.
  14. Will these be available in AMD-65 and Krink lengths? PS - Congrats on taking on the man.
  15. I'll take all 5 inbound pm sent Do April fool's rules apply to sales? Cuz I got this one guys - first one to post and pm takes it, right? SN - you owe me 5 S12's (now where the hell am I gonna come up with $1500)
  16. Got orig Romanian or Hungarian AMD-65 grips. pm me and I'll give you one.
  17. That sucks - thought the push button solved the wobble problems that few are willing to admit. I have the original style and added a set screw to the bottom to support the locked position and keep an allen wrench on hand - in the PG actually. i tried different screws and settled on a basic cup point set screw. love the MI or Palm rail - looks good
  18. Thanks for the quick response. I don't shoot too much magnum out of this gun so it should hold up and if not...new handle again.
  19. Looks nice - Let us know how well she patterns. I picked up a Winchoke adapter from Cobra and am very happy with it. If I were to cut my barrel - I think threading for Rems is the way to go. Didn't hurt that I had a bunch of OEM Browning Invectors from my other guns.
  20. Tony, I recently added a Tromix Vertical CH to my S12 - OK Pauly did it. Anyhow, after getting it back I started thinking of changing it a bit and decided I really like your old style Dog Leg - like Greg has on his home page S12 for CSS. BTW - your cartmann post in the LRBHO had me dying So, first question is may I have your permission to pay tribute to that design? Second ??? Is there any structural issues with the design - was the dog leg mitered and welded or heated and bent? Would like to be as accurate to the original as possible since that is my target. Tha
  21. Those are sweet - loved the mare's leg since Steve made it infamous. My friend just ordered Henry's version in 45LC - it is f'ing gorgeous, brass receiver, octagon barrel oh and IT'S MADE IN THE USA!!!!! And for broke guys like me - there's a 22 version. Now ya got me thinkin, that nickel finish and ability to pop .410s is really nice.
  22. Great post! It's my understanding and experience that most SGM Mags hold one more round than their listed capacity but as stated - I typically download one round just to err on the side of flawless operation. Keep us updated as to function. AAA+++ for new user.
  23. That's a beautiful weapon. I have a similar paint scheme on my AMD build, yours looks way better tho. Congrats, Man Great Job!! May I suggest a use (as I was looking at our wonderful emoticon selection)? :killer: :lolol:
