  1. Hi and stuff.... welcome to the forums, Grats on the scores, Just remember, its an addiction, you'll soon be holding " will work for ammo " signs ....
  2. Good Stuff Boss, I used to paint minitures for tabletop wargames myself, little guys about an inch tall...was actually a very relaxing hobby..... you make me want to dig out my old paints and sable brushes and dust off the case of pieces i ment to get to but never did.....
  3. off to a grand start I see, but let me try and make this easy for you, 1. Unscrew your gas setting plug, its the cap at the end of the gas tube above the barrel 2. Clean this area of any debris, pull out your gas puck ( should look like 1/4 of a roll of nickles welded together ) 3. useing a paperclip, dental pick or other long pointy object feel around directly past the entrance to the gas tube from the end you just opened, your looking for 4 holes drilled down into the barrel at an angle... make sure you have 4, and that they are uncloged by debries 4. make sure the rail you installed
  4. second vote for the Veltor.... if you insist on useing the type you have in the pics, i'd do it with the Ace internal block and pig nose adapter.....but thats just me I used a Krebs external block on one with the pignose and an Ace Hammerstock, but I did it knowing I wanted the extra length from the start and the Krebs is the least gay of the externals... it actually looks quite styleish if I do say so myself
  5. I have one of those offset VFGs on my RPK.....I use alot of drums in it and the Troy modular grip i use on it wouldnt clear easily.... this fixed the problem very well. I love it
  6. for the cost difference, I prefer the MD20 to the promag 20.... but the litte promag 12s have a special place in my heart ( mostly cause no one else makes one or i'd be calling them crap.....still waiting for the Chaos minidrum or MD to make a 12....the size is MUCH more RL useful than the big 20s which are IMHO range toys )
  7. like I posted in another thread... we use the quarter rule... For every spare quarter in the budget after the bills are paid and groceries bought... we aplit it 3 ways... a nickle goes in saveings " just incase " I get a dime, and she gets a dime.. no questions asked.....no justification .... I've always used my money to support my gun habbits, she lately has started to help me out with some of this as I finally have her understanding the " state of the union " and she's as concerned as I am... she accepts my judgement on what we need, how much of it we need, and why we need it.... if
  8. CSS is the place to get your Saiga freak on, and as far as the locktite goes, get both red and blue.... use red on anything you'll never want to take off...trigger guards and such, use blue on items you want on but may one day want to take off, like pistol grips and buttstocks...
  9. Grats on the score Boss, they are damn fun for sure, working on my second now and to be honest, while I have no use at all for more than 1 good S12... I'm already toying with ideas for a 3rd. so many options, so many ways to build em.. I think I could have 10 and not have everything I wanted yet LOL
  10. I have the HK weld ons on The Beast but have opted for the Krebs Bolt on front sight with a modified rear peep dovetail sight I got from Brownells on The Behemoth.... The rear peep is the bullseye style which is quick and easy to get a sight picture thru, and the Krebs front sight I replaced the post with the hooded crosshair post... allows for quick shots useing the outer circle of the bullseye sight and the inner circle of the front sight and when I need to hit a target at distance I use the inner circle on the bullseye sight and the wire crosshair pattern on the front sight.... bout the
  11. CC permit should allow CC everywhere but the courthouse..... period
  12. My poor wife understands what I do, understands me enough to not question my judgement, and understands that argueing with me would be foolish. we use the quarter rule.... every spare quarter we get in the budget gets split 3 ways, we put a nickle in saveings, she gets a dime to buy " her " things with, and I get a dime to buy " my " things with... It keeps us both happy and our relationship strong.
  13. aye, gotta be careful with those things, not a big fan of anything that has to " wrap " the gun and clamp it.... too easy to bind things, touque em out of spec and whatnot.... This has been a pretty long standing issue with the S12s... If the new product gives you trouble too, look into something that connects like the factory handguard, Fuglysticks and such... easy to tri or quad rail them.
  14. oh now see.... thats just nice..... straight into the old fav list that one goes.....
  15. Chile, I love ya bro, but I'm gonna have to disagree with ya on a few points here. The state of the union will not tolerate the treatment you speak of, a few years ago I'd have agreed with ya, but currently, " The People " are too damn close to takeing to the streets armed as is... any further attempt to disarm " The People " will be folly at this time, and even Obama knows it..... they don't want a revolt or cival upriseing, and thats exactly what they'd have... they have other fish to fry that'll keep em busy for the next 4 years and if your right.... if they ARE that stupid..... God hel
  16. oh wow, I just read the story Dogman linked... christ this is gonna shake things up good... I'd say Judge Legg for President but it seems he's more valuable where is he.
  17. Not familiar with Maryland's laws of any kind but if it means the Pro-Gun guys won one, its a great day in America.... Anti-gunners steadily looseing ground lately, and likely to continue to do so.. Bigger fish to fry with the state of the economy and " The People " are already so fed up with the Gvt BS comeing outta washington no one in their right mind would attempt to take away the firearms most americans are already cleaning loading and keeping close and ready. Disarm a nation when they are fat and happy, not when they are tired and hungry.....
  18. I REALLY like the Hogue set on my Draco... but I don't think it'll fit the 12.. not sure it can be made to fit the 12. The heat shield at the very least would have to come out as it barely fit on the draco... and you'd need a handguard retainer for it too...... my gut is telling me no chance in hell but i've seen some wikkid mods done to make other shit fit that i was just sure was never going to work.
  19. **UPDATE** I just got off the phone with Centerfire myself, They just got a new batch of these in and have 400 rifles in stock, The drum mags however they are down to 30, and the stick mags are down to 90.....just a heads up for anyone else eyeballing one, grab your mags now even if you have to wait a few weeks on the rifle. they are now officially down to 27 drums and 85 stick mags
  20. Trying to think of how best to phrase this question.... buy new gun you dont need just to have cause its cool, may well appriciate in value and won't be avaliable for long before supply dries up? or spend that money reworking a good shooting gun you already own to make it a great shooting gun? specifically, I need to restock and glass bed my Rem700 tactical 308 heavy barrel and get it out of the cheesy hogue overmold stock its in and into a Manners or Bell and Carlson adjustable. This rifle has a place and purpose in my collection and while it can preform the job as is, it N
  21. GREAT little mags for the Draco though...
  22. UGH.... don't get me started LOL..... it wouldn't be so bad if I could just buy em and shoot em, but you gotta double your investment on each to do the conversions and get em to a point that wont get you laughed at..... up to 9 now I think.....wait.... are we counting Veprs too?......
  23. think I'd bow out gracefully if I could, friend or not, too many things to go wrong, not near enough to go right to make it worth being involved in.... unless your getting a cut of the sales and NEED the cash.
