  1. My vote: Continue the full-size, develop the 50% percent size & make tritium illumination an option for both.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmjNIJ4YIFI I like it. 4 Stars ****. Mike
  3. Csspecs is one of our vendors here on the forum, so I hope the mods don't have a problem with me posting a direct link: http://stores.csspecs.com/saiga-12-gauge-8-round-steel-magazine/ These mags will probably require a little judicious filing on the rear lug to ensure a perfect fit. Just take your time & 'sneak up on it', let sleeping dremel tools lie. Also, I would assume member discount is still valid? http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/81415-saiga-12-forum-member-discount-code/
  4. Agree with GunFun & Mullet Man on the safeties. There's also a drill & rivet drop-tab at Krebs. If you're handy & looking to limit costs, you could fab, drill & rivet your own drop-tab & cut out notch to trap charging handle on your existing safety. I wouldn't hesitate to use an MD20 drum in a match if it were allowed & advantageous to the stage I was shooting. Promag drums are pretty good too (the ONLY Promag products I've been impressed with). 'Serious' uses might involve "correcting evil men". The drums all rattle due to the rounds having fore & aft m
  5. One day older than me, wouldn't be like robbing the cradle... She played a hot little jailbait in Fandango back in '85. Hysterical, bittersweet coming of age comedy. Worth watching for the skydiving & flight scenes alone.
  6. Welcome aboard! Properly fitted Dinzag or Krebs enhanced safety would be a good thing for your needs. As far as magazines, my personal advice is to avoid Promag sticks (their drums actually seem ok) SGMs & all drums (sorry, Mike) are good for range toys. Serious use calls for factory 5s or 8s (if you can find/afford them) and Csspecs 8 round magazines. That's just me, YMMV.
  7. Happy Birthday! Thanks for all you do here and for putting up with us.
  8. If, by some unholy mischance, she gets elected, the 'title' I'll use for her is 'First Ankle'.
  9. Unfortunately, it seems like most young people nowadays are being trained & conditioned not to 'fight to the death', but 'surrender to the death'.
  10. How about some White boy rock & blues? Tinsley Ellis is an old favorite & right up there with SRV in my book. Torn (but not too badly). Don't generally like blues. This one I would listen to once and enjoy it (and did). Three stars ***.
  11. Welcome! Can't say for standard Saigas. My SGL 31 throws empties about 12' at 0200. Seems to be fine.
  12. AR gold trigger. Installation in my antique Eagle Arms lower took 'bout 3 minutes. Spent the next 15 minutes dry-firing & cackling manically. Niiiiice trigger.
  13. Pretty much all the buckshot I send down-range is out of cylinder bore. General rule of thumb is 1" spread per yard (10" pattern at 10 yards, etc). This can vary a bit with different shotguns & a lot with different ammo. The only way to know for sure is to pattern your ammo with your shotgun. Try different ammo at various distances with each choke. This makes for a lot of variables. I tend to just use cylinder bore and control pattern via ammo selection: Winchester 'military' buck for fast spread, Fiocchi reduced recoil for HD (pretty much matches 1" per yard) and Federal flite
  14. I wonder if it could be modified to be reliable with mini shells? 4 rounds of 11 pellet #1 buck instead of 3 rounds with 16 #1 pellets each. NOT crazy about the way he's having to roll to 0900 to feed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyRLMOsEJkI
  15. Blues Image gets the prize - Four Stars **** You surprised me with this one. I expected I would like the ZZ Top song better. It didn't even come close. Nice pick! Thanks. I hear some of these songs that are in the 'also ran' category & wonder that they didn't get more air time. Guitar hook in the Blues Image is really compelling to me. Here's one I hear every few years on the radio. One thing that gets me here is the different musical sub contexts in every refrain. Four Stars **** Mike
  16. Mine is S-12 with reduced velocity 00buck. HK sights upgraded with XS ghost ring back & big dot tritium front and a light. 'Choke points' I'd try to engage at constrict intruders movement & put 3 walls between muzzle & the great outdoors. Under normal circumstances, I'm not going to miss at that range (10" & 15") but, during an adrenaline dump that home invasion is likely to cause, who knows? Full power 00 will almost certainly get through 3 walls if it doesn't transit some other target medium first. Reduced velocity? Maybe not. And I can get off 3 aimed shots of
  17. Primer reliability would be my main concern. If a .22 is all you have, try every ammo you can to find the most reliable. Yes, a .25 is more reliable, but doesn't hit very hard. If you want to make a .25 hit really hard, get yourself a 36" leather boot lace, tie one end through the trigger guard & use the other end to swing it around like a sling to bash 'em in in the head with...
  18. Yeah, British accent can be sexy, but I like how Rose McGowan says Fuck in 'Planet Terror' Trailer, perhaps NSFW. Relevant vid going to basement, definitely NSFW.
