  1. right now, I bet a lot of married guys here on this thread who stated that their wife was "the best thing that happened to them" or other such nonsense, if the question was asked to them, "but, what if you could do it all over again?" deep down inside you know you would say this to yourself
  2. OK, see if I got this straight, some left wing hack who nobody has ever heard of, writes a column in some left wing rag (ESQUIRE), that nobody reads, unless you happen to be, and this is ESQUIRE'S wording on their readership, " Esquire’s audience is well educated, urbane, and affluent – intellectually curious and confident modern men. Esquire believes in an honest and authentic growth in circulation and relies on the strength of the editorial product to convert newsstand readers to subscribers rather than through the use of premiums." that has a totally circulation of 725,000. which
  3. I'm keeping all the "stuff" I did in the 20 years I was in the Army with me to my grave. and I will deny, deny, deny everything to st.pete as well.
  4. we are indeed in a very sad state of affairs on this board, when the offer of help for no monetary compensation to a fellow gun enthusiast is somehow a threat to businesses, very sad indeed.
  5. oh yeah, like voting for some dick weed with a R after it's name is sooooooooooooooooooooooo smart. news flash for you, ALL politicians, regardless of what party they belong to, are bottom feeding slugs and criminals just looking out to enrich themselves with money and power and fucking over everybody else.
  6. if a weld is done correctly, from someone who knows what he is doing, that weld will be stronger then the steel it's attached to, so there will be no issues with it breaking. the whole key to having something like that done is what I stated earlier, take it to someone who is a professional welder that has been doing that for decades, not some gunsmith. do you know what a gunsmith is? it's a guy who passed the ATF background check, his check didn't bounce for the license. it doesn't mean he knows how to fix a firearm, ATF does not administer test or certification for that the person appl
  7. I'm kinda weird, I store my ammo in metal ammo cans. yeah, I know that sounds strange, but it works for me. 1,000 rounds of 5.56 in S.A.W. can 600 rounds of 5.45 in 30cal can 500 rounds of .308 in 50 cal can 1310 rounds of 7.62x39 in S.A.W. can
  8. forget about sending it off to a gunsmith for welding, send it to someone that knows what he is doing, like a professional welder.
  9. too late now, but those 2 piece of good advice would have served him well, before he said, "will you marry me?"
  10. I'm old but smart enough not to marry, but I can give you a insight on what might happen if you get caught, from observing what a couple married guys I knew happen to them, when they hit midlife crisis bad: start looking for a sturdy cardboard box that won't fall apart in the rain, because that is where you will end up living in after the divorce court and her lawyer gets done with you. that "scratch" will cost you more then what that strange pussy is worth. if you want to cheat, put some lip stick on your hand, close your eyes and fantasize, then hit that puppy fast and hard 't
  11. your profile you say you're a male, I find that hard to believe, you're definitely missing the Y chromosome, you sound just like a woman going on and on with a worthless diatribe that makes no sense and doesn't even fit in the discussion. you might be more comfortable going to the Dr. Phil forum or the Oprah forum then here.
  12. I've seen what 20mm HE rounds does to human bodies, or what's left of human bodies. it isn't pretty, think hamburger with lots of internal organs mixed in splattered everwhere .I told my my Sr. gunner let loose a 30 round burst on a Iraqi truck trying to get back to Iraq on Highway 80. I don't believe there were enough recognizable parts to even make 1 person how's that for first hand experience with ballistic trauma?
  13. I have never heard or read about any collapsible stock breaking. so what if it does? you just go and buy another stock that isn't collapsible. I'm sure you'll get your money worth from that stock before it breaks, if it breaks fuck, you're on the internet, it's not like there is a shortage of scantily clad or naked women on the net. I bet you can also find sex videos as well, so I've been told.
  14. here you go, find the one you like to copy or make your own pattern. there is no right or wrong, just what you like https://www.google.com/search?q=vented+saiga+12+handguard&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=q_iRU-i0C8ybyASwx4KwCQ&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&biw=1024&bih=484#q=vented+saiga++hand+guard&tbm=isch
  15. You just described an average night at my house during my late teens after everyone had a few too many drinks. just think when you get old and decrepit, that will be you're daily routine. that is if you're not already doing that now
  16. I got like 6 or 7 in my basement now. I used them when I was in the Army to pack up my TCs, FMs, TMs, GTAs etc... when I packed up my households goods on PCS moves, as that wasn't counted toward my authorized weight

that's all that is; rumor, more precise a myth. what drown a lot of soldiers was the 60+lbs of equipment and gear that was strapped to their bodies.
  18. the ATF doesn't give out test to see if you even know which end of the barrel the bullet comes out of, let alone if you even know how to make a firearm as long as you your check clears they will issue you a SOT to go with your FFL. the problem becomes is people think that by getting a SOT they can make and play with MGs, for cheap for their own amusement. ATF has taken a very dim view of that, if you aren't actively into the business, but see this is as a way of skirting around the law, they will get themselves in a bind the first time they get a compliance check form the ATF.
  19. you can call them unicorns and it still won't change the fact that "gun haters" will still be "gun haters". you have way too much time on your hands to come up with nick-picking a definition, find a hobby to occupy yourself with
  20. I like it!, that some great ingenuity and it's so simple. best part you don't have to hack on your rifle to have a left handed charging handle.
  21. yep, that's what that sounds like, and I'm betting there is no wobble to the gas piston that it should have. I have a SAR 3 with a slight cant to the gas block, and when CENTURY changed out the parts to US parts, they installed a US piston, but they tack welded the thing on the carrier so that it ridged, instead of it "hanging free" and finding it way to the gas block, it scraped the inside of the gas tube, and hit inside the gas block. seeing I bought the thing for way under 2 bills, NIB, I just said screw it. it finally worn itself a path and hasn't caused any problem since. that was
  22. wait, you're saying the guy welded or otherwise hacked on the rear sight block to extend the groove? that is not a well thought out plan, to say the least. the easier solution for that is to extend the "lip" on the action cover to go into the groove. gun tip #1: when modifying a gun part(s) always modify the least expensive and easily fixable or replaceable part you're welcome
  23. ??????????? I short barreled my S12 to 13 inches and have fired hundreds and hundreds of buckshot and slugs exclusively through it, and never once ever had a issue with the action cover coming off, dislodging etc... my advice, SBS first and fire it, then take it from there. I would certainly not start welding or hacking on the gun right off the bat, that in all probability isn't even needed
