  1. After several months I finally finished My S12 build. I got busy with some rasps, files and sandpaper and came up with my own thumbhole stock (NY legal)since I couldn't find what suited me anywhere else. It's got a more conventional English sweep to the grip. Because I wanted the web of my thumb higher than the trigger to accommodate the grip I cut the rear of the reciever. Once I did that there was no backing away. Other parts added are the Tapco G2 TCG, GoGun Standard Twister Puck, Tromix DIY Trigger Guard, TRUGLO Tru-Bead fiber optic shotgun sight w/ interchangeable fibers, and because I ha
  2. Sweet! It really makes me wish that I hadn't turned all mine into targets. I had several of the originals from the 60's. Frogman was my BIGGEST mistake! He'd be worth thousands now. I did find the Tonka G.I. Joe Jeep out in the woods while I was hunting a couple years ago, but it was so rusted there wasn't much left except the seats and wheels so I left it there. Bummer.

    ga sc nc

You could always just look up the laws..... google penal laws or gun laws for the particular state. Then you will know for certain instead of just what somebody told you on a gun forum.
  6. I just went out to see what the sky looked like, it's too overcast I guess not this year.
  7. Glad to hear it Biggie! Happy Holidays.
  8. There are alot of NYer's here. I'm sure you'll get all the advice you need. First, use some reading time in these forums and use the search function. The questions you've asked have already been covered. If you are going to put a thumbhole/skeleton stock on, do the conversion.
  9. .... Closest there is, but don't be embarassed because you don't have expensive equipment. I've done very similar operations simply because I had the ability to adapt what I had to what I needed to do. I'm not much for the vents either.
  10. I like it. How'd you do it without a lathe?
  11. Part of the kit that comes with it is an OIL BOTTLE.
  12. Better sit down and do alot of searching and reading in these forums. All the solutions are here.

    weld on sights

Has anyone ever tried fixing the weld-on sights to the gas block with JBweld? Just wondering.
  14. There is quite a write-up on how to do this with crayons on the xdtalk forum. I've tried it. It's ok.
