  1. The only 12ga. that ever hurt me was the 6 lb NEF single shot with no pad. Damn, I grew up shooting 12ga. You gotta hang on to 'em!
  2. I've read in these forums that the shell is ejected forward (x)feet @ 2 o'clock. Now I understand why. I understand why it doesn't eject forward with full power rounds too.
  3. Hard to find. Here is the one I got from K-VAR and modified to fit. I wasn't really difficult, just some slow handsaw and chisel work. ETA: I'm VERY happy with it.
  4. The last video shows that you are slapping the trigger. OK with a shotgun, but poor practice for accuaracy. Just pointing it out.
  5. Here's mine. I've got about 3500 rounds through it with no problem except a bent firing pin.
  6. Comes with free "modified" ATI Fiberforce AK, Mac-90 Fiberforce stock set. Buttpad is new/unused. $18.00 shipped.

Sounds like you need to hold the gun a little tighter to your shoulder. It shouldn't bruise you if you don't let it slam into you.
  8. 1st, you should get the gun and shoot it a couple hundred rounds. Pretty much any type or brand of ammo can be used, but alot of us avoid Winchester. Alot don't. It depends on where you live what you can hunt turkey with. In NY no shot larger than 2, which makes buckshot illegal to hunt anything with as it was banned for deer hunting 3 decades ago. 2nd, that also depends where you live, but you should shoot it to get used to using a long gun and read, read, read. Decide what you want to do to it from there. 3rd, red dots are good well past 100yds. Again, search and read past posts on
  9. I don't think that's a dumb question.......... or idea. I'd be interested in the outcome, but I'm not going to try it since mine is already done.
  10. I am planning to design and build my own thumbhole stock that doesn't "protrude conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" for my S12. To do this I am considering milling the rear of the receiver to a 45degree angle below the rear trunion. Are there any legal implications invovled in this type of alteration of the receiver?
  11. The simplest tools have the least likelihood of operator AND mechanical failure in a crisis situation. A man who is proficient with a double barrel coach gun and a revolver is very dangerous man. It is important to know how to use ALL your weapons, not just your favorites. My wife's favorite.... stove poker.
  12. Seems I was #1000 to view this profile. Reading some of the past posts tring to see if your still making wood stocks. Looks promising. I hope I have the patience to wait for your reply.

  13. Disregard.... I ordered one from K-Var. I'll use it for as long as it takes to get my wooden one made then you'll see it on here for sale.
  14. Very cool. I got a turkey with mine the other day, but no pictures (it was a hen).
  15. I'm in the same boat as any person living in the "Peoples Republik of Mass", but you know what's even worse? Being able to stand in your front yard and having the ability to throw a stone far enough that in lands in NH. Now that really sucks! I'm in the same situation except my property in on the NY side of the VT border.
  16. I'm looking for a takeoff Bulgarian SLR95 Thumbhole Buttstock to use as a template. It can be beat up. Not looking to spend alot, but if you've got one kicking around....
  17. WOW! Safety off on a chambered round walking to the business end with the camera. HUGE kahunas!
  18. The wad in a Slugger is shaped like an "I". Perhaps the two round end pieces broke and separated at the "stem" between them. That would be my guess.
