  1. I have one I got off Ebay. Not sure if I can post a link... so just search "offset light mount." There are a bunch on there for under $10.
  2. I got mine from saiga12.com and I haven't had any problems with it. I just like knowing that if I forget to change my gas settings, I won't damage my gun. I would definately reccomend one, if it gives you trouble you can always take it out.
  3. Mine ran pretty well. It would shoot Winchester AA and Remington Nitro all day, and was about 90% with Federal. I took of my gas block, and opened up my ports/added a fourth and it hasn't jammed since. If you have basic tools and knowledge, you can do anything with the help of this forum. Remember, these guns are an investment. If you set one up to run perfectly, it's gonna be worth some serious coin. I saw one here sell for $1000 within 2 hours of being posted, and it wasn't even heavily modified. So now I can justify all the money I've got into mine
  4. Just an update: Gander Mountain in Lansing has one for $199. It has a hex receiver and is in MUCH nicer condition than the one my buddy paid $100 for.
  5. I was at the one in Lansing talking to a guy at the gun counter who acted like he knew everything. After a few minutes, I found out he didn't know what a Saiga 12 was and then he tried to tell me that there was no such thing as a 12 gauge AK. I would love to show him mine to prove him wrong, but at the same time I don't think he even deserves to know. If your Gander Mountain doesn't have one, you should come to the Lansing Gun and Knife show on the December 31st through January 2nd. You're sure to find one there.
  6. Dang... that's almost a better deal than doing it myself! Do you have any of your win-choke adaptors in stock? I still need to buy myself a Christmas present...
  7. Dunhams in East Lansing and Gander Mountain in Lansing have them for around 100 bucks.
  8. If you know what you're doing... a few minutes. If you don't know what you're doing, however long it takes you to click on this link: plus a few minutes. I don't think you'll have to worry about the BHO so it should be a snap.
  9. I can take out beer cans at 50 yards with Winchester value pack slugs. Remington sluggers are good too, but I only get them when they're on sale.
  10. My guess would be that they fit the stocks to the guns just like they do the mags.
  11. I had a Tapco T6 on mine before I converted. It worked great, but when my cousin offered to buy my conversion parts in exchange for me doing the work on his gun, I couldn't pass it up.
  12. If you really want it to look perfect, heat the rear of the reciever with a torch and install the stock. It will melt into place beautifully. Probably not the best idea... but it made my T6 stock fit well enough that my OCD couldn't notice the misalignment. (Just don't get it so hot that the finish burns off.)
  13. Drill 'em a little bit, and you won't have to hammer as hard to get them out. (Or you can cheat like me and use an air chisel!)
  14. is waiting patiently for deer season to end so I can go out and make some NOISE!

  15. Me too... Except I don't have a shit load shells on their way to my house. I guess I'll just have to wait for them to resupply.
  16. I bought a "nice" Eotech clone for $90. It was a total piece of junk. The elevation adjustment was terrible, the windage adjustment didn't work, and when I tightened up all of the screws that held it together (it was ready to fall apart when I received it) the unit was twisted so much it wouldn't even mount on my gun. I sent it right back and bought a Bushnell Trophy 1x28 red dot with my refund. You can try your luck, but it was not at all woth the trouble for me.
  17. Keepshooting.com five rounders are where it's at.
  18. I have a T6. I like the look, and love the feel of the stock. I've considered upgrading to a Magpul CTR if I can find a good deal on one, but for now the Tapco is just fine.
  19. I drilled a little divot in the side of my receiver. You can see it in my little side picture.
  20. I have an Allen tactical rifle case. The mag pouches hold my three five rounders and the zipper pouch holds my ten.
  21. What's wrong with engine paint? I used Duplicolor #1634 and it has held up just fine. The paint line is nearly invisible except in bright light where the original paint is slightly more reflective.
  22. Will do. Thank you very much for your help.
  23. I've already done both sides, but the other side wasn't as bad. I'm not too worried about replacing it, but if you would like to check it out I can ship it back. If you can mill it back a little more and make it fit better that would be cool too. I'm not too worried about the black finish on the inside of the mounting pads.
  24. Sorry for the vague explanation... unfortunately I can't post pictures using the browser on my phone. I'm looking to replace my old, sick, screen-cracked laptop shortly. Here is a link to the picture: http://m1120.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/JoeAldrich/2010-11-02232028.jpg.html The light reflecting off the aluminum makes it tough to see, but the area I had to file is the vertical shoulder that runs parallel with the mounting bolts. It was interfering with the shoulder on the upper pieces and causing them to lean towards the barrel and wedge against the gas block before the screws were f
