  1. I put in my order for the basic self installed version last week. I was told it would ship in about 30 days from then.
  2. If there are any left after he fills the back orders ) ME ME ME
  3. I would think in the TAC-47 plug that you could crank the screw in so that it doesnt open at all on lighter loads. This would effectively make it just like a stock plug in the #2 setting. I dont understand folks who say it wont cycle certain low power shot if the gun cycled it before with a different plug. Unless it wouldnt cycle that load before? The TAC-47 plug is never going to improve low brass cycling, it is only going to allow you to not have to change settings when you switch to more powerful loads.
  4. Those rings when empty actually act as pressure seals. The effect doesnt last long but its long enough for the puck to cycle. Filled with gunk would actually defeat the effect. It has to do with the high pressure gas escaping through the tiny gap between the puck and gas block hitting the larger volume of low pressure in the empty ring. Ive tried to remember the name of the effect but it is just escaping me. Basically the turbulence and pressure has to equalize before it can move on past that ring. Two rings doubles the effect. Im betting there is no real pressure loss past the puck duri
  5. Just make sure you have some sort of UV filter if you intend to use a gun light. Why? For all the burglars with night vision? It would just blind them anyway )
  6. Thanks for the reply. Why do they recommend closing off the outside vent? After gas gets to that side of the puck its already wasted. If you block it off it would only add back pressure on the wrong side of the puck. I figured it was there to bleed off any gas that slipped by and blow out any crud that managed to make it that side of the puck. Look at its location, all the way forward and angled down. If it wasnt there the only place for that gas to go would be down the gas tube and into the guns action.
  7. Hah, nice video, I havent seen that one yet. These guns love the 3" shells. I wish my drums would take them so I wouldnt have to be so picky in my ammo purchases.
  8. Great thread with tons valuable information, THANK YOU!! Now for my question that I hope is different enough to warrant some feedback ). I want to SBS my S12 to 11.5 inches BUT I dont want to move the gas block. Its not because I dont think I can do it its because I want to keep my Chaos Tri Rail and not have to remove the top to get to the gas plug. I shoot the hell out of the Wallyworld cheap stuff including the Winchester value pack and I want to continue to do so as well as the occasional slugs and heavy shot when I can find it in stock for cheap. I know Tromix says to move the
  9. I have the Enidine,CTR with the Ace folding mech. I originally ordered them from Botach but after being stroked around for over a month and being told over and over (when I could get anyone but the new order department) that it will ship tomorrow I finally canceled my order and bought it off of Ebay. I got it 3 days later and it was cheaper. Guess what, two days after I canceled the order and recieved TWO Email confirmations that I had canceled my order I got a shipping and tracking number from Botach. I sent them another Email because you cant get anyone on the phone saying that if they s
  10. I have the standard twister puck in my gun. I would think the idea behind the grooves is that it causes the puck to twist (hence the name) and the grooves clean the chamber. My experience however is that the puck does not twist at all in my gun. When I remove the plug the mark from the puck hitting the bolt is always in the same place. If it was turning it would move around the face of the puck evenly.
  11. Doesnt the wad serve just as well as a slug? Also, I dont think it matters if there was a cone shaped chamber or not, its a matter of pressure and volume, not direction. The pressure has to fill the whole volume of the chamber equally regardless of the shape before it can move the piston.
  12. Was there a place to find information on this or is the only info available through Email or phone calls?
  13. Its great to finally get some feedback on the LRBHO from Cadiz. I cant find any info on his site and I sent an Email last week asking a few questions but haven't heard anything back yet. Can you get it in a version that doesn't close the bolt when you insert a new mag? Ive been wanting to move my BHO to the side of my gun instead of taking up space in my trigger guard but I wanted to wait and see if I could do the same thing with this LRBHO. Any pics you could post would be awesome.
  14. Thats the only thing that would bother me on a SD handgun with a sight like this. You either have to flip the switch or remove the cover to activate it. If you remove the cover to activate it how much light does it need to see on the photocell to activate? If you remove it at night in a dark room will it turn on or will you have to then toggle the power switch as well? It wouldnt be bad if they would work with a pressure switch but Ive yet to see one that has that option. I could go in and rewire one to work that way but I think I will just stick with my TruGlo sights, always on and ready
  15. Yeah, explain to the jury how you have already greatly modified the gun from its "as shipped" configuration. It doesnt matter that we are doing our best to make it more like the way it comes out of the factory for other countries. Its still a modified, custom firearm. Unless of course your gun is still in the factory sporter configuration.
  16. Here is the parts I used for the AR safety mod. There are about 100 ways you can do it. It all depends on where you want the safety, How much you want it to rotate and which direction for safe and fire. Once you decide that you just figure out what parts you need to make it work. I used a genuine AR safety, cheapest I could find was like 25 bucks. I cut it in half, machine the ends flat and then welded some round bar stock in the middle to make it the right length for the S12 receiver. I machined up a leg and welded it onto the trigger group. Its long enough that the contact point to
  17. I like the bulk stuff just for blasting as well. Even then it burns through the cash pretty fast ). Chowderhead says he will buy a round of slugs for everybody. He will pull the cash out of his non sandy vagina )
  18. Thanks guys, she runs pretty good. Like most the Winchester bulk gives me a few FTE's but not many. Its usually on the last round with the factory mag empty. Believe it or not I think its from the friction on the bolt from the mags textured follower. I just got the drum so I will find out for sure my next outing. I will get some picks of the AR safety soon. I work pretty late but I steal some time in the garage when I can. Unfortunately I only have the camera phone for my pics but I guess its better than nothing. I was actually waiting to see if anyone would post some feedback or pic
  19. Would those help with the heat behind the glasses as well or just keep the lens from fogging? Were talking about 110 degrees and a ton of moisture. Most guys out there arent having the same problem as I do. I guess I have sweaty eyes )
  20. Hey guys. I need to find some new shooting glasses. I live in Arizona and when at the outdoor range I sweat alot. My glasses are constantly fogged up and full of sweat. It gets to the point that I can barely see to shoot and the range masters give me grief everytime I take them off even for a second to wipe them and me dry. The rule is glasses on at all times. Ive tried several styles and none of them seem to work for me. I just cant get enough air flow under the glasses to be comfortable. I recently saw some mesh safety glasses online, mainly used for paintball, that look like they wo
  21. Oh, I will have some Chaos sights on her as soon as the second batch is finished. I was told I just missed the first batch so it shouldnt be long.
  22. This is my S12 Ive been working on. Ive never owned a shotgun before, they just didnt do anything for me. My dad was looking at buying an AK74 so he could shoot a butt load of ammo he mistakenly ordered (dont ask). While looking for that I came across the Saiga 12. That led me to this and other sites and as they say, the rest is history. Im hooked, I love this thing. Its still a work in progress and many things are still in the rough but its coming along. I made the trigger guard so I could match the grip angle on my Springfield XD. The XDs point perfectly for me. I hated the factor
  23. I have the same question. Did you adjust the Auto Plug to match your gun or did you leave it at the factory setting?
  24. Cant you just ask for the farthest right hand lane? ) "Hey buddy, mind if I take that lane? If not my shells are going to be slapping you up side the head."
  25. I dont think you could mechanically keep the vent from opening as it opens outward. It might be possible to crud up the plug enough to physically block the opening from seeing any gas but I cant imagine your puck would move with that much gunk in there ).
