  1. I actually heard that as much as the remake looks like its going to suck, its actually really good according to the initial screenings.
  2. This is quite a tempting offer... Would you be willing to do it through PayPal or is it strictly money order?
  3. Prayers with TJ and his family. Can't imagine how hard this is for them.
  4. Only sport I care about on TV is baseball...I won't be happy with whats on TV until April 5th!
  5. If you want a scope that's cheap, reliable, durable, and high quality, I'd recommend getting a good POSP scope in the magnification you would like best. What could be better than a scope that is made for the gun? For the money, POSP's are SO worth it. Pick em up from Eastwave or Kalinka, you can't go wrong with either from what I've heard these days.
  6. Its beautiful man! Too bad I don't have the money for it, I'd be PMing you! So I guess for now I'm just gonna give you a compliment on a sweet gun and a free bump haha!
  7. CSS (Carolina Shooters Supply). Any of their kits will be great, and they have videos to take you through the step by step installation. They're my favorite parts vendor.
  8. Well, nothing you can really do with the stock, unless you go out and get a new one. I'm sure the way it is for you now it'll be functional, it'll just be a pain in the ass to look at over and over. Good job on the rest of your conversion!
  9. I have had that problem with the screw on the lower handguard before. I don't think its a big deal, but then again, don't exactly know why it does it to me. Just make sure that you tighten those screws as much as possible, use pliers to turn the hex key for the extra tightness. If you really wanted to I'm sure you could use locktite, but I wouldn't recommend it.
  10. Well first off, clean your rifle. The amount of corrosive material I see in that gun is pretty bad at the moment. Though it probably isn't the cause, cleaning it will at least eliminate the simple problems.
  11. 4x POSP scope. There is no better scope for an AK in my opinion. Can use your irons while the scope is on, too, which is quite a benefit.
  12. There is no need to get a new spring, the original does the job just fine. As far as little fixes go, restoring the FCG and installing a bullet guide are the big ones, though if you really wanted you could get your bolt and carrier polished which will make it run smoother. Of course there's always something thats going to make your rifle cooler, that never ends. Its just up to you to decide what exactly you want and what you're willing to spend. Saiga's are projects that never end, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop purchasing new furniture and accessories for mine. Its a great projec
  13. Welcome to the Saiga 7.62x39 family! I'm a proud member, I love just about everything about my x39. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do with mine!
  14. Personally I'd get the Nikon as I've heard a lot more about their scopes and I haven't ever heard anyone dealing with issues from them or their scopes. But i'm sure there are people here who know a lot more than me that probably think different, so good luck, I don't think you could go really wrong with any of the three.
  15. I was told by my local sheriff back when we had trouble with hooligans and were worrying about break-ins that as soon as they stepped in our house, we should shoot them if we feel it necessary. And if there was any trouble with the law, he said he would personally clear us up. Safe to say we love our sheriff. Its really sad to hear its not like this elsewhere. But I'll tell you one thing, I'd rather go to jail than have an intruder hurt my family in my house because I was afraid to shoot them.
  16. VERY nice looking conversion. Personally I'd choose a different stock, but that's just me. Nice Job!
  17. I love Inventor...do you use it for all of your drafting and design of your products?
  18. Great to hear that, it really is great once you do the conversion, as you know exactly how every little piece does its job in the overall function of the gun. I was nervous with mine too, but I was so glad that I ended up doing it, it really does make a world of difference.
  19. Probably gonna need a better resolution pic before I can tell for sure.
  20. Actually, you have already done the more difficult part of the two. I have more reservations about doing the bullet guide than I ever did for doing the FCG conversion. Its quite a simple task if you sit down for a few hours at a time. You just have to be patient with the rivets.
  21. All you need to do now is move that FCG up. Can't be back to its classic AK roots without that!
  22. Haha I would guess that you're stretching the truth just a bit on some of those points, but then again there are some people that have lots of money to spend. That is quite a dream house though!
