seems simple to me. shoot the shot shells and start saving hull's then you can reload with slugs or shot and while your at it. buckshot. just pour your own from scrap lead(slugs and buck not sure its ever worth trying to make your own shot.)

my 1919 would not cycle low brass out of the box. i made my own booster bushing and that didn't fix it. then i opened up the gas ports slightly, and bent the action tube slightly it was pressing the piston against the against the bore. that loosened her up. she now cycles pretty much anything.

I think that chokes only count as muzzle devices and therefore countable when the barrel is externally threaded like the saiga. i believe the ATF's current stance is that internal chokes are not muzzle devices. -

i just wanted to make sure you knew that changing the PG would not help your 922 count. if you just meant you were on the fence for aesthetics i appologize. i was simply trying to make sure you weren't misinformed from this post i personally think the PG has a very nice feel. but the stock forearm sucked. thats why i built my own. -

dont wanna be a stick in the mud, but its not the gas booster bushing that counts its the gas piston. true, then it will be easy. or better yet in my opinion, the FCG as that would put you an extra part to the good. Just to make sure, you know that the pistol grip wouldn't get you enough parts right? and could depending on the ATF's decision actually put you in breach of 922. ETA punctuation -
i keep my action area fairly wet with gun oil. when i clean i make sure too clean the piston and piston bore. but i don't keep that area wet, just wipe a tiny amount on with a rag. watch for metal in the action area. and be sure to clean all of it out if you see any. the locking lug has a tendency to wear in, causing some shavings.

correct so far you have purchased one 922 compliance part. you need at least 3 more. -

if you decide to buy a new one, or even if you find a used one. i recommend the one from Manson Reamers. you could also use a Lee case cutter, carriage bolt or some other method if you are only going to do one rifle. i don't think your to close to me, but i would do it for nothing if you were. one thing to check. a lot of mosins do not have the straight barrels. often when you cut them you find the bore is not concentric with the barrel.

on one of my sporterized mosins, i D&Ted a hole below the bolt and then screwed a 6-40 setscrew down threw it. i can now adjust the preload on the trigger spring/sear. works great better than my homemade huber copy. most of mine have just stoned and shimmed triggers though. except for 1 with a homemade huber style, this 1, and 1 with a timmney. (i own 7 Mosins)

nice swirly pop. mine changes all the time but today it was. Taurus PT111 PRO Wichester folder ITP A3 EOS Upgraded RAZR MAXX tomorrow it will probably be different. but its always Knife, Cell, Light, Gun. in order of importance to me. can't believe the number of people that don't carry knives. in fact i always carry two, (i use a gerber money clip, that houses a utility blade.) i have carried one every day since the 7th grade. teachers used to borrow it in school all the time. carried them on cross country flights (since 911) even carried one into the white house(prior to -

I hit one with every low blow insult I could think of at the time and he just sat there staring at me. So I would say yes, they are pretty thick skinned. LMFAO indeed i've cussed them for days and they just keep coming back. 17 gr HMR usually does the job.

Electric Impact wrench?
bulldog_shotgun replied to cheeseybacon's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
the lithium's really changed the cordless impacts. use a 1/2 and 3/8 milwaukee lithium on the farm. no battery memory issues. and plenty of power, still use Ingersol air impacts if we are in the shop or have the service truck though.
