Gouging at the gunshow.
socom688 replied to bernerz's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
I used Shooters for my FFL when I bought my S12. One of the newbie employees there stopped me and tried to run my newly received S12's serial number in their data base to see if I was stealing it as I was walking out with it. He didn't see my pick it up from the licensee in the back. I told him that they don't even sell S12's and a more seasoned employee saw what was happening and came over to tell the new guy to back off and that I could leave. In addition, another employee a week earlier when I went in to originally set up the transfer told me that he converting the gun and "modifying" t -

I haven't been to one in a few months, and will probably never go again. I've been to the one in central Florida at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, everything was way over priced, and few people wanted to bargain just like your experience. I found a guy selling some generic steel surplus Romanian mags in typical condition, he wanted no less than $25 a piece. I told him I would buy 6 for 75 bucks, he laughed and said "yeah if we were in the 90's, maybe". I held my breath even though I wanted to school his old decaying ass on what they really cost at the time (this was 6 months ago BEFORE all t -

I love it how this gun ban bullshit is taking precedence over the fiscal cliff which could potentially wreck an already flimsy economy. I still hear of it, but now its washed in with a bunch of ban talk that is distracting everyone. I bet the gun ban proposal is just to drive us so far off the cliff that no one will be able to afford firearms and ammo. It seems like when our leaders need to take something seriously (i.e. economic or international crises) some bullshit distractions comes up to. This is about how I feel on the matter: End rant

Reviews on PSA AR-15, good or bad?
socom688 replied to socom688's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Grey: Yeah I found one that fits my budget a little better than Colt, and I think it may be one of the last currently in stock anywhere in either without paying an exorbitant price from someone trying to double their profits due to Obamination's attempt to create the People's Republic of America. day: Good info to know, thanks for the input -
For some time I have had my eyes on the evil black rifle, and I have seen nothing but good reviews for Palmetto State Armory's line of ARs. They use 1/7 twist chrome lined barrels and bores, with all the bells and whistles. They use FN barrels from what I've read and are as reliable and accurate as any of the ABC (Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt) ARs. Soo, does anyone have any personal experience with these guns?

You have 4 holes in your front gas block that work fine already. They are located where the tube fits into the front gas block. If you create more ventilation, you run a serious risk of under gassing. Unless you are prepared to buy another gas tube, just leave it how it is.

Fellow Gun Guy at Work.

Aww that's cute, did you two exchange phone numbers and hold hands? Just bustin' your balls man . I will say it's pretty cool running into a gun guy at work, or in my own personal case at school (which is probably rarer considering how left universities are nowadays). What was his setup on his FAL? -
Very well said. I have the utmost respect for our law enforcement officers, but they are just as human as any of us are. I guarantee I could out-shoot a significant number of LEOs with any firearm. As far as the percentage I could outshoot, I don't know and I couldn't give it. I just have faith in my shooting and feel I have a solid firearm proficiency (at least at the range). That being said, I know some LEOs who could run circles around me with their firearm skills.

It should fit. That being said, if it is off, I bet it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes with a dremel or sand paper to get it perfect

I didn't read his comments as every time he shoots the gun, but understood it as every time he goes shooting? This is completely possible, mark around the penny using that mark as an aiming reference, squeeze off a magazine full of ball ammo, and you'll probably hit it... makes sense to me.

Time for some mild newbie flaming. There is no such thing as a "banana clip". What you are referring to is called a magazine. There are stripper clips that are thin pieces of metal that hold bullets together so they can be easily loaded into a magazine. This is a clip feeding into a magazine. Welcome to the forum . I leave mine loaded and they seem to be fine. Compression isn't what kills springs. Cycles kill them. Welcome aboard! ETA: MD-20s are extremely durable and dependable. I run them hard and throw them around a bit. I think they like it. Yup, you

Yeah same here. My GF is always on it getting ideas for trips or crafts etc. As long as she keeps cooking some of those crazy good desserts and dinners, I have no problem with it at all!
