Shows w/ Cool cars......
Lone Eagle replied to RobRez's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
"Bullitt" with Steve McQueen. Wife cried when he trashed the Mustang. "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen. He had a few on there. Bel-Air meets I-beam also is a tear jerker for the Mrs. "Overhauled" had some really nice ones when it was on. -
5. Fake FFL dealers. -Beware of people who say they are private FFLs. They will talk weird and send you a fake FFL certificate or license. THIS IS 99.9% ALWAYS FAKE. Show picture to a real FFL to confirm authenticity. They will tell you its a bunch of BS. There is a link on the BATFE website for verifying FFL numbers. It will tell you the status in a few seconds.

Muzzle brake Help needed
Lone Eagle replied to Wildbill84's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Do a google search for "14mm to 24mm adapter". Have the smith thread it for 14mmLH, add the adapter, then add your brake. Then if you decide to go with a 14mm brake later, simply remove the adapter. ETA: Apex has one listed for $12+ride. -
Scoped AK target pics: Yes, this was a Saiga.

Scope is a NcStar 2-6x32mm with 225yd rangefinder reticule(discontinued, but still out there). I picked 2 of them up when a local shop stopped carrying them for peanuts. This is the reticule: I'll have to get an updated pic of the rifle wearing it's glass. Everyone I've talked to said the Silver/Gold Bear was one of the few consistent Russian loads out there for hunting. Oldest shot some Silver through his Stevens .308, and had a nice 4-leaf clover at 200. -
Wife got me a Dremel!
Lone Eagle replied to DLT's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Fixed it for ya. Add a flex-shaft to the kit, and you'll find tons of uses. Mine has bailed me out of many automotive repair jams, but the flex-shaft goes places the normal Dremel won't. I'm on my second Dremel now. First one died a content death after 12 years of use. -
Oldest scored some ammo, so off to the range we went. I took my scope and some Silver Bear 125gr SP to see if I could work it in. Well, here's the results. Ammo: Silver Bear 125gr SP Wind: 5-10MPH Temp: 76 degrees Range: 50 yards for 50/200yd zero, 2" high at 100yd(verified) I pulled the BP-02 off, fired 5 rounds, reinstalled, took a deep breath, and........... I have a 200yd actual target from an ammo test(coming soon), and group opened up to around 3-4". They had a 12"x12" gong at 200, and I hit 5 of 5 on that. Not bad for a Commie peasant rifle.

I thought bacon grease was the lube of choice for AKMs? At least mine thinks so. -

Welcome to the forums. Guess you figured out we can go from zero to cesspool in short order. -
Heck....I cracked out the old 2600 last night.

Bought an AR field kit from him. It was still sealed as stated. Good guy to deal with.

Yugo M67 is about the same as GT on the accuracy scale, but both are loaded about the same from the "recoil into the shoulder chrono". My old SKS would lay 1" at 100yd groups with Yugo all day long. The Saiga keeps them about 1.5" at 100yds. I have 2 1260 spam cans tucked away for the zombie apocalypse. -
I was cruising the Izhmash site, and stumbled on this little gem: http://www.izhmash-arms.ru/eim/imp/191.html .22LR chambered Saiga. Also offered with traditional wood (Saiga 22 version 04). I'd almost trade my AR for that beast.

Verizon Beware

It's not just your phones, but your email, texts, web surfing habits, searches, and chats. Why do you think they built that "data center" in Utah? It certainly wasn't for Skynet. Or was it? -
Yep. Most are hating on Beck right now because he called the "Arab Spring" correctly. Rumor was he was booted from FOX because of CAIR not wanting We the People to hear the truth. Even Mark Levin has said Beck knows his enemies all too well. Now Hannity....there's a talking head if I've ever seen one.

Once the barrel cools, it's OK. The hotter the barrel gets, the more it "whips". That target was off-hand as fast as I could rattle her, so the barrel was probably whipping pretty good. The Winchester Super-X is 123gr SP, and I paid $23.99/20 locally. I ran this as a deer round in my old SKS, and it proved just as accurate in the Saiga. They are brass case, and reloadable. Remington has a Core-Loc version as well, but it was harder to find than Winchester. Nobody has it online right now, but the local shop had a few leftover boxes from hunting season I grabbed back in December. For

Well, this was iron sights at 100yds after dumping 2 mags. Plates are 6" party, and backer is 14"x18"(torso size), and the AR target was right next to it. Notice 2 rounds hit the AR target. Yeah....offhand standing sucks, though. If I rest it, 2" is the norm unless I run Winchester Super-X or Yugo M67. With those, I can shrink it to around 1-1/2".

Do a couple of 30 round mag dumps and try that again.

I finally got them blasted off my Yahoo acct after my oldest thought he could download porn while I was at work. Every other ad was a porn or dating site......mingled with "male enhancement" ads. I paid his ass back on his iPad, though. He's wondering where the gay shit is coming from.
