  1. They've been here for years. Google "OTM" or "Other Than Mexican". Al-Quaida figured us out long ago. It's so simple a caveman can do it. The hadji and jihadis simply come into Central America via Nicaragua, Guatemala, or Honduras. They lay over in Guatemala, learning Spanish and losing the beard. They then enter Mexico, link up with either a cartel, MS-13, or a coyote. They are then brought into the US, and link up with "friendlies". ICE is being uber tight with the reports, so the numbers are sketchy. Their OTM policy is 99% catch-n-release. However, civilians patrolling the
  2. Mine doesn't really feel heavy, but I'm tossing 50lb boxes around for 4-6hrs at work everyday anyways. Comparing the dry weights of rifles is apples to oranges. ARs are mostly aluminum/plastic, AKs are mostly steel/wood. Now you want some serious weight, slap a loaded 75 or 100 rnd drum in that Saiga and lug it around.
  3. Judging from the pistol, looks like they found a MIA from the Civil War. Would be interesting to know the back story on the poor sap.
  4. My Charles Daly 1911A1 was built there. Other than the ambi safety coming apart because it wasn't machined correctly, it's just as rock solid and accurate as my bud's Kimber. I ended up redoing the safety myself to a left side and all is good now.
  5. Yep. If your life wasn't over before this, it is now. Nice bike. That'll turn a few heads.
  6. Don't rule out the Stevens line of Savage. I bought my oldest a Stevens 200 in .308 for his 18th birthday, and it's a tack driver. No sights, tapped for scope mount, slate gray stock(options available, or have it hydro-dipped like I did), and I paid $299 OTD for it in 2008. I was looking at one last week for $350 NIB.
  7. FPSRussia. He's cool for a non-Russian. Been kinda low-key since the BS a few months ago. That was cool. Now I'll have to put a piece of brick in my GHB.
  8. Federal Fusion gave me some tight 100 yd groups, and only opened up to around 2" @ 200yds out of my SGL21. If I was out after Bambi, I'd keep it inside of the 150 mark on Barnaul. I did great at 50 and 100, but opened up to around 4" at 200 with a few fliers. On the 154gr stuff, it's pretty much hit or miss. My 20" SKS would lay it on target, but my SGL21 hates the snot out of it. Best group IO got out of Wolf was 5" @ 100yds.
  9. I was answering the door dressed as Terminator. I forgot just how hot an AMC leather jacket was...lol.
  10. Oh, you survive reeducation camp? Yeah, been seeing those "solvent traps" all over Amazon and now fleabay. Glad you're still kicking.
  11. There will be if we keep devaluing the dollar by printing more baseless cash. We are painting painted ourselves into a corner by abandoning manufacturing and producing worthless cash. Eventually our economy will crash and burn. Then we'll need those lead bullets. Fixed it for ya. Clock's ticking, but few are listening.
  12. http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2013/10/end-of-an-era-last-us-lead-smelter-to-close-in-december.aspx In December, the final primary lead smelter in the United States will close. The lead smelter, located in Herculaneum, Missouri, and owned and operated by the Doe Run Company, has existed in the same location since 1892. The Herculaneum smelter is currently the only smelter in the United States which can produce lead bullion from raw lead ore that is mined nearby in Missouri's extensive lead deposits, giving the smelter its "primary" designation. The lead bullion produced in Herc
  13. On the EBS uptick: They are trying to "nationalize" the system. Local station I listen to put it this way. Before now, each state was required to run the test. Last year, they decided to make it a "central hub" in case of National Emergency. It pisses off the local DJ's because there is no warning now when they are testing, and can ruin a good monologue.
  14. No...you lie!!! I move objects with my mind all the time. Now if I could just figure out how to use the Jedi mind trick to get free guns.
  15. Well, call me a liar, but I knew if I did get stoopid my ass was getting torn off. The last spanking my dad gave me was at 19 for telling him to fuck off.
  16. The previous owner of our '01 Durango 2WD SLT had an Eaton E-locker installed. It's an open diff for normal driving, but locks at the touch of a button when the Mrs needs a little extra oomph to get rolling on the ice/snow/mud. Once moving, she turns it back off and rolls on. I tried it engaged on the mountain passes here, and it makes the SUV a bear to drive in the curves. Think about it this way. You have an open or LSD, the rear can compensate for the power differential in sharp curves. If you have a locker, then equal power is going to both rear wheels. This means in a sharp curve t
  17. Bayo lug is on the FSB. The GB lug is for the grenade launcher. The cleaning rod is held captive by a little nub on the FSB and the muzzle device(see above pic).
  18. Another wonderful print from the man who brought you "The Forgotten Man". http://www.jonmcnaughton.com/stand-your-ground-11x14-litho-print/ Wife wants one with an AK.
  19. Screw shotshells.....napalm gun or flame thrower. The report of the gun pisses them off more than the whoosh of flame.
  20. Not here. Just picked up: 200 rounds 123grFP Ugly Ammo@ $35/100 200 rounds WPA 124grHP@ $5.25/20 250 rounds of BVAC .45ACP@ $79 As far as the membership: Football Last gasp of Summer(we already have snowcaps on the mountains and snow falling outside my house) Hunting season HS Sports I still try to pop in once a day, but trying to get the vehicles ready for winter by myself is sapping my time after work.
  21. There was a story on another forum where some Bubba figured out how to bypass the safety and had a kaboom. The safety is there for a reason, numbnuts.
  22. I still remember after the Hook they ran an ad for 1K of LC M193 for the "low, low price of only $899+$75 shipping". Saps actually bought it. CTD is on my blacklist on Firefox.
  23. Mine came with the 2-stage Arsenal FCG(has the little nub you have ot overcome after slack is taken up). I decided to polish the contact surfaces, as I haven't done it yet. When I pulled the FCG, I'm not impressed. MIM* parts......no likey MIM parts. So, I'm shopping for a good FCG, but prefer the 2-stage if I can find one. If not, I'll be ordering a Tapco G2 single hook and just have to retrain my brain for the single stage pull. * MIM-Metal Injection Molding......think cheap 1911 parts that love to break when you least expect it.
  24. Years ago, there was a group(IIRC, the Pistoleros) tried that in Alabama on the I-65 with a loaded semi. Ever see what the trailer tandems do to a human body at 65MPH? The bikes directly behind him got sprayed, and still kept coming. Before the state troopers arrived, several bikers were either deceased or injured. Trucker was ruled justified for running their happy asses over as well.
