  1. Let me play the asshole here. I think we all agree that guns aren't the problem, crazy is the problem. Correct? So let's say your neighbor has some guns. You're talking with him and he starts talking about the little shits who keep messing with his lawn ornaments. Then he starts talking about shooting up the school where they go. And he's serious. At that point you realize that your hunch is right, this dude is crazy as F. Like Adam Lanza crazy. What do you do? You call the cops. What do you want them to do? Take his guns and evaluate him. Sure I don't like letting the governmen
  2. I need some kind of chart or terrorist family tree to keep up with this stuff. Complete with notes about who sold what to who, and who hates who, why. The problem is that as soon as it was created it would be outdated.
  3. I also have issues with Alito saying that if the employer doesn't want to pay for it, then the government should. So Hobby Lobby doesn't have to pay but you and I will with our taxes. “The most straightforward way of doing this would be for the Government to assume the cost of providing the four contraceptives at issue to any women who are unable to obtain them under their health-insurance policies due to their employers’ religious objections,” This is NOT a win for smaller government or for getting away from Government run/paid for health care. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but I jus
  4. The decision troubles me because they said it only pertained to birth control. So for those who don't believe in blood transfusions, or those who don't believe in anti-depressants, or those who don't believe in medicine at all (for Christian Scientists) are SOL. This decision picks winners and losers in religion. The government and courts should not pick winners and losers when it comes to business, but especially when it comes to religion. 5. I guess if I lost 2" I'd try Viagra or something like that. (rim shot) Sorry man, if you want real advice I got nothing. Just bad jokes. Good luck.
  6. pretty bad ass. So what happens if you're in an F-18 and your nose gear doesn't work??? Carrier pilots have bigger balls than I ever will.
  7. Well that's disappointing, but thanks for finding this.
  8. I think they are trying to promote common sense gun ownership. I don't think they're secretly pushing for gun control. I think they accept the fact that gun ownership is a Constitutional right. They want to work with gun owners to reduce the number of accidents and misuse. They say they need buy in from gun owners, and you don't get that if you even hint at any kind of ban.
  9. Now I was always brought up with the guns in the corner and we knew not to touch them, but this is funny. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/06/daniel-zimmerman/evolve-if-they-find-it-theyll-play-with-it-possibly-nsfw/
  10. I went the .22 lr route and am getting a Savage FVSR with threaded barrel from Buds. I've heard good things about Savage so I'm looking forward to how it shoots. I picked up a Nikon Rimfire scope which for what I want will be plenty.
  11. I like the term "muffler" because non-gun people can relate to their cars. Of course mufflers should be legal for guns (and easier to get). Could you imagine if mufflers were illegal on cars, or legal but you had to pay an extra $200 to get one, plus the cost of the muffler and wait 4-9 months to be approved??? Sounds like a fun event. Good luck!
  12. Savage Mark II FVSR .22 bolt action with threaded barrel. Shipped out from Buds today.
  13. ATF Cashed my check, now the wait begins...

  14. Huntertown Arms Guardian. Only $200 + the stamp.
  15. Got the call Monday that a .22 suppressor that my dealer efiled Feb 4 was ready for pick up. Put it on the 10/22 and the Mark III. Holy crap that thing was fun to shoot!
  16. took out the new .22 can. Super fun to shoot!

  17. I got a P95 as my first "real" pistol (I say real because I'm not counting .22 pistols I've had since I was old enough to buy them) and I love it. It's never malfunctioned, and it's a beast.
  18. first time shooting suppressed today. Lots of fun, a little gassy.

Yeh, just don't eat any butter beans before shooting and you'll be OK.

So what can did you get? My 9mm will puff some gas back in my face, and the .223 will also if I'm shooting stinky, nasty Wolf ammo.

  22. I got 2 guns. One for each of ya. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u5A0H6PkqE
  23. After 2 I just switched over to the aluminum kind. But those are super cheap.
  24. I like mine, and saiga mags still work. However, I had a gunsmith do mine and I found that aluminum mags work better because the saiga bolt hitting the magpul follower has cracked it. Not sure if it's because of the sharper angle of the magpul follower or the polymer not being as strong as the aluminum but it's happened with a couple pmags.
  25. Just because you can open carry an AR doesn't mean you should. I'm a big fan of gun rights and having the ability to protect one's self and family, but this looks like it is done for shock value. If I walked into a restaurant and someone was open carrying a sidearm in a holster, or I saw a bulge under a jacket, no big deal. But if I walk into a restaurant with my kids and see dumb and dumber open carrying rifles with looks that say "I can't get laid and live in mom's basement, but I've got an AR," then I'm out of there. What do they do with their rifle while they eat? Prop it up on the ta
