Looking to build my first ar but having trouble deciding between a BCM upper or Spikes and both are around the same price. The spikes has a 12" picatinney and the bcm has a 13" midwest industries keymod. Kind of leaning toward the bcm but just wondering what experiences people have had with these companies?

I picked up a Mcrees Precision stock and a Timney 517 trigger for my Rem 700 AAC-SD.

Still trying to decide if I want to change out the trigger.

My wife and I had sold our house back in August and decided to have a new home built. We have been living in a crappy extended stay hotel since sept 29th. Our walk through was Saturday and we did have quite a few think marked that we wanted fixed. Do the conversion yourself. I had never worked on a gun in my life before I converted my s12 and I had it completed in 3 hrs with a cordless drill and a screw driver.

I got my molot from samal a couple months ago it's a pretty good deal.

i was stripping down the gun to get ready for conversion and noticed the pin on the bottom of the gas block. I bought the midwest industries aluminum quad rail and was wondering if people left the pin sticking out on both sides or ground it down since the handguard wont cover it. Here's a pic of what i'm trying to explain.

I've got a 10 & 12 rd mag and they work great.

We are in the middle of an adoption & the agency was ok with the fact I had guns untill they saw the handguns, ar15 & saiga 12 & said they would prefer that I had a safe. I don't know why they kind of freaked out, guns are guns it shouldn't matter as long as they are legal, plus I wouldn't mind having a place to put them instead on sitting in a corner. I'm worried more about fire pretection than sombody breaking in and I would rather get something halfway nice than just a locking cabinet.

I'm looking for a gun safe and have $1000 to spend. I've been looking at the scheels safes that are made by champion, anybody have any other suggestions
