Bonesteel Arms makes a tough aftermarket folding stock. I have one on my S12 and my 7.62, and love em.
-
I experienced the same problems. I had my internals polished, installed an autoplug. Still would not run anything but buckshot/highbrass etc. I did the same thing, removed the block. Thought the same thing all my holes were clear. Then I checked on here for the proper sized holes. Mine were about half the diameter that they should be. Just because they are clear, doesn't mean anything. If the holes are the wrong size it is still undergassed. I opened them up to the size that the members on here recommended and it runs like a champ!!!

mikebbaker, I might take you up on that, Just let me know what you want for it. I just found a wheel cylinder hone that goes down to 1/2". I might get one of those and try honing out the FSB.
-
After I posted this I saw someone mentioned reaming out the FSB. Now I need to figure out where to get a reamer/hone that will work.
-
I just bought a used Saiga .223. I removed the FSB to install a Bulgy AK74 FSB and gas block. Once I removed the FSB, I checked the fit of the Bulgy FSB. It won't fit. Apparently I have the Heavier barrel. I'm measuring around .595 where the original FSB was. What are my options now? Is there a FSB that will fit over it or do I need to have my barrel turned down? Or am I just plain screwed? Thanks, Danny

Doesn't the bottle of vodka have his name on it too?

I have a Century converted 7.62. It does have the slot for the BHO. I haven't got around to finding and installing another one yet. All in all They aren't a bad conversion, they use rivets instead of plastic plugs in the leftover holes on the receiver. I bought mine real cheap too from a co-worker.

+1 for bonesteel. I have 2,one on my 7.62 and one on my 12. Both left folders. And like bub said, they are very tough you could easly bust someones teeth out with it.

There is a guy on her that converted the front of his .410 to look like the ak style gas system. I have tried to get ahold of him on another forum with no replies. I just tried PMing him on here. His screen name is rbthntr64 I went ahead and bought an ak 74 rear site block and gas block and FSB.

I like my Bonesteel left side folders.
-
I'd keep the arsenal too. Harder to find than the 332 and the FIME group version. It would be easier to replace the 332 and do another conversion than trying to replace the arsenal, if you regretted it later or decide to get another.

Glad it it turned out ok. Not sure why any gun owner would want to turn in a felow gun lover.
-
But only if you don't mind a bullet button on your imaginary rifle. I prefer my imaginary rifles to be free of all that crap.
-
No need to cut the tang off. Not real sure the differences in inches of the 2. The Warsaw is the shorter like a regular AK buttstock and the Nato is longer.
-
Yea, can't go wrong with the bonesteel. I love mine. Hey Barrage, the swing swivel I got when I orderd my bonesteel stock was just a UTG quick disconnect (push button) swivel.

Has anyone heard from the great SS lately?

Check out this Armslist ad for an "Arsenal" Saiga

I asked him for a couple pics, a couple of days ago, And I finally got a response from this guy. He jumps my shit for asking for pics 2 days ago and not responding to him? Both of his first 2 emails went to my Spam folder. I told him he had a sgl10 and not 2161.His response to me was the extra holes above the pistol grip were to ad the folding stock to it that was on it when he bought it. He says he contacted Arsenal and gave them the serial to confirm what he has. I'm not evan going to respond to him again. But Armslist contacted me and said to be aware that his ad was tagged as a scam -

He's still trying to sell it, but this time without those pesky pics to get in the way. http://www.gunlistings.org/arizona-gun-classifieds/phoenix/rifles/134631/saiga_arsenal_legion_ak47_threaded_barrel -
Are S20 mags that much harder to find?
-
Yea, These Russian barrel's were designed to run the bi-metal stuff. Like mentioned before, it would be different if you were shooting an AR.

I used the dental floss method. You can find it on Youtube. You use dental floss to pull it down into place while you slide the pin in. As stated above, I like having the BHO on my S12.
-
I thought you had to have some special form to legally import mags from overseas?

im_n2_vws replied to saltydecimator's topic in Saiga .410
I have all the parts I think I need to convert my gas system to look like an arsenal SGL style .410. I have the gas tube, AK74 front and rear sight block, 74 gas block and the handguard retainer . I was a little concerned about what 74 style brake to use. -
I don't feel so bad. Mine does the same thing to me. I thought it was just me getting old.
