Law Enforcement Acquisition Letter
kyhelo replied to MAAnew's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Not quite correct. An officer can purchase a weapon (which might otherwise not be sold to the general public or to get a law enforcement model or price), to be personally owned, with the permission of the chief or agency head. The department or agency would not own the weapon. The letter is just certifying that the particular firearm is allowed for use in that department and the officer is duly certified, etc. -

I've got a P22 with an AAC can. Absolutely no problems at all with the pistol and with Remington SubSonic ammo, it is very quiet. Really nice little combination. -

World War II Army Question
kyhelo replied to DLT's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
My father was an Army Scout in WWII in Europe. I got a little info from him in his later years (he's now having problems with dementia, beginning stages of Alzheimer's) because he didn't want to talk about it earlier. His job with a small squad was to forge ahead, gather intell about the enemy's location, strength, movement, armament, etc. He was also sent up to destroy fortified positions, like machine gun nests. He was the BAR man for a while and also used an M1. On one occasion, his squad was sent to the right to destroy a position, and another squad went to the left. That squad was -
Agreed, The point is (God knows it's the last thing I ever wanted to do.) I actually love these kids and care about how the turn out! That or the 7000 series MCI really messed with my head... Kyhelo.... Don't be too hard on tony... He's just messin with me.... it's all good... Naw, Juggs, not being hard on Tony, just that comment. I've had a, uh, different opportunity since 1981 to observe things from a lot of the U.S. to Bolivia and most of the countries in between.

A HUGE Bullshit on that comment. For the moment, let's put aside all comments such as 'the MAN (gov't) on your ass', 'personal freedoms', 'my rights', etc. How about teaching 'em about the effects of use on their health, along with the associated poor judgement (or none) and poor decisions which lead to further consequences. No drug abusers are able to realize their full potential due to screwing up their lives because of all the afore stated factors. "No doc, of course I don't mind if you have a toke to settle your nerves right before my operation." "Naw, trucker, go ahead and rel

Yes, they are AK friendly. I went to one in KY last year, only got to do the first day. Had a great time, learned some stuff, and it was a good refresher. There was one young guy there with an AK74 and shot very well with it (while wearing a ballistic helmet, load bearing vest, etc. ???????????) Anyway, good time. They stress range safety above all and are very strict about it.

How about in smaller plastic bags/packages which are vacuumed sealed? No air, no condensation, or at least a lot less of it. Even ziplock type bags, say gallon size, squeezed up to decrease air space, would be better than just placing ammo in a can. Just a thought.............

Hey LEO's (and others who carry for work)
kyhelo replied to Juggernaut's topic in Other Weapons - HANDGUNS
Agency regulated as to make (Glock, Sig, HK) and caliber (.40 and .45). I'd prefer a 1911, but single action's aren't allowed. Currently use a Glock 30. -
Hey, Bob. I'm interested in getting one of these for my S12 when it becomes available. Just wondering, would it screw right on using the factory threads or would the barrel need to have more threads added because of the length and weight of the suppressor? Thanks.

Really nice looking rifle. Really nice. The only thing I'd want different on it would be to change the location of the bipod to the front sling swivel.
