Which is better barrel steel?
Heartbreaker replied to Squeaky's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Lots of good info there. I have a Faxon 20" SOCOM profile 5.56 barrel on my AR15. High quality, reasonably priced and made in my state. -
Godd rifle build idea?
Heartbreaker replied to Squeaky's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
I am sort of a beginner gunsmith. I converted my Saiga, I've bedded a rifle, I've done some trigger work, milled an 80% receiver and assembled two AR15s from stripped receivers. I'm mechanically inclined and have a good dose of common sense so I can usually figure stuff out. It would be neat to take an actual gunsmithing class and get some bigger and cooler tools to play with. -

I think all large cities should be split off as their own "district", separate from the politics of the state as a whole. Let them make whatever policies they wish inside of city limits, that would have no effect anywhere else. The political map would rapidly become a sea of red with a few blue dots. -
I had him polish and profile several parts on my S12 and I was pleased with the work he did.

FN FAL Handguard. What's the tubular handguard under it? IMG_3134.JPG The tube is part of the handguard. To OP. Sorry for the Hijack. Nice job on the S12 No, it almost looks like the wood part was attached to a fuglystick handguard. But maybe I could just mod the FAL one to fit. -

Is that a version of the tragic boating accident?Nope, wife-n-kids are gone, along with half of everything I had and half my paycheck too. That sucks, sorry man. Gotcha! Now ya see, that is a much more believable story than a tragic boating accident. Still happily married and annoying each other. Heh, you got me. I guessed right but my empathy got the better of me.

Exactly. I'm not gonna spend $100 on something that might not be able to be modded to work, and couldn't be returned or sold after being modded.

Custom Holster Makers
Heartbreaker replied to JDeko's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Just search the interwebz for "EAA Witness holster". There are options available. That's part of the problem with oddball and uncommon guns. The selection of parts and accessories is low or non-existent. Always something to consider, especially for a primary use gun. -
If it wasn't $100+ per mag I would absolutely get one to try.

And the requirement was to be armed with the SAME weapon as the the Military of the time!So in other words I would need about 20 guns.
