I would be very interested in a rail for my S17 that is the length of the "longer" hanguards that Tromix use to use(goes out to the shoulder of the barrel threads)to get some extra real estate for my surefire X300. Need pics!!!
  2. Look awesome.I like being able to have both a single and double point sling on that gun.
  3. The LE 132 and 133-00 run out of my S17 like a champ. It patterns great. It just needs a little more gas than the full power stuff.
  4. Slug-o just put a pignose adapter on his Tromix today(welded back plate)and I am pretty sure you just need the adapter, receiver extension, nut and stock.I am suppose to pick up my pignose for my tromix later this week from him. As for the commercial Vs milspec they both should work. All AR lowers are threaded that same.It is the diameter of the receiver extension after the threads that determines if they are milspec or commercial with the commercial being a larger OD. hope this helps.
  5. I know common sense isn't so common(especially with clowns like the dude that got beat up)HOWEVER,did that little black guy not take a second to realize how BIG that guy was!!?That white guy was a very large guy. What did you expect? He looked like he was every bit of 6ft3-6ft4 and 230-240lbs.If a guy that size hits you and it makes contact it is going to hurt. Either way,the disturbing part is all the crap that the beat up guy was saying after he got beat up.People need to learn when they have been the one who made the mistake, take the ass whoopin' and shut up.
  6. If I've all ready cut the tang, is there still a way to us an AR stock on my S12? I've all ready got a skeleton stock on the adapter block I got from you guys but at some point in the future I'm thinking about changing it out for an AR stock. Here is a stock adaper for the Saiga. You need to remove the tang, but if you have already done that you're ahead of the game. It will accept any AR stock and has attach points for quick disconnect slings on either side. Doug Would you guys ever consider making something like this for those of us who already have a welded on ba
  7. Man,I am glad you guys are on top of this. What type of jerk tries to scam the two most reputable guys in the Saiga "business" out of a measly $75 in parts? What a prick.
  8. I recommend Carolina Shooters Supply for the parts.Sorry I can't help with anyone local to you for the conversion.

    axis pin loose

I agree.I am sure I am not telling you anything you don't already know, but that pin has a "flare " that the crook is suppose to lock into between the inside of the reciever wall and the "flare" on the pin.I would make certain that this is installed correctly. If it is,I can't imagine how that pin would come out.
  10. Let me get this straight......there are people complaining that he is selling the drums for too LITTLE?If you have one you paid $260 for stop whining and now buy 2 for the price of one.
  11. 2 magwells on the way(so technically you cost me more money than I cost you). did you order those mag holders also??? Tried to.They are out of town for SHOT.I will get the expressed shipped as soon as they return.
  12. 2 magwells on the way(so technically you cost me more money than I cost you).
  13. Leon,if you are doing that multi-gun with us on the 30th with the Tromix you will be the MAN.
  14. I saw this in person yesterday and it is definitely rock solid.Simple, yet well thought out.
  15. I ran 400 rounds today between my 2 S12's.One has the JT spring in it and has about 1k rounds through it now.I had 2 light primer strikes today on some cheap wally world Remington bird shot. This has never happened before. Just a thought, what gas setting were you using?Maybe the mag wasn't feeding the gun fast enough?I have seen guns with too high of a gas setting slam the carrier forward so quickly that it does what you are describing.Using full power loads like what you were using might cause this.
  16. Your magwell really interests me.I looked at the mags you have on your site and it looks like the magwell/mags work a lot like an AR15.Are both lugs removed and a notch installed in the side of the mag to retain it?If so,is this something that is easily done for people who already have Surefires and are looking at your magwell? Also,is there enough room left to use anything other than your trigger guard(like a Tromix trigger guard)?

    Weapon Light

Surefire X300 on the tromix(or whatever gun I feel like putting it on).Insanely bright, long burn time and holds up to 12ga recoil.
  18. This is my "plinker" and the gun I use for 3-gun; Home conversion with: Tromix DIY Trigger guard Tromix FCG Tromix extended charging handle JT mainspring and extended mag release Gun Fixr plug Internal reciever block with Tromix/Limb saver stock attached Kross rail w/ Tango down QD stubby grip Kreps battle sights Poly choke
  19. I recently took a good look at my S17 after putting a Kross rail and a few other parts on it.Since it was new(3.5 years ago)it has worn a little strange on the gas piston. If I pull the charging handle back and lock the bolt/carrier open and look at it from the top, the piston is off center and is canted towards the ejection port side of the gun.In turn, this is causing the piston to hit the end of the gas tube(not sure what this part is called but is the part that is dovetailed on top for the rear factory sight). It has worn the ejection side of the piston shiny and it appears to be slightl

    Ion Bond???

For what it is worth,my best friend has had his AR barrel(really crazy dimpled Lilja Recce barrel)and his bolt carrier done with it.He works for a very well known firearms manufacturer(PM if you need details)and shoots this rifle a LOT.Does Magpul dynamic classes with it frequently. He really likes it.He has said that the coating on the bolt carrier "self lubricates" and the gun will run dirtier since he shoots the gun suppressed most of the time. We are going shooting tomorrow and I will take pics of the rifle for you if you would like.Hope this helps.
  21. Leon,we are in the same boat.I would like to have a red dot on mine(same as your Tromix, kross rail etc but no magwell)but there aren't currently any real options.Even using the dovetail on these guns is iffy' because they become loose after lots of shooting,or at least mine has,due to the shorter gas system and the piston "striking" that part of the gas tube. I think the best option would be for someone(preferably Kross)to make something like this; I think this would provide a stable platform to mount an optic since it attaches to the rail and it puts the optic right in the m
  22. +1. This is a cheap, easy and fun fix.I took a few brands of shells with me the first time I took both of my S12's out so I could rule out ammo if there were any problems.I found neither of mine liked Winchester.
  23. Those look perfect.Do they come with everything needed to attach the clip(double sided tape).I am going to order a few tomorrow to try out at this months 3-gun.
  24. Those guys make some really sweet looking stuff.Although they have some really high tech looking stuff, they have a few parts that are simple solutions that I will be ordering. The mag/belt clips look awesome.I will be ordering a few of these to use for multi-gun.
  25. Congrats. My S17 is 3.5 years old now and has eleventy-billion rounds through it and it STILL puts a smile on my face when I shoot it.
