  1. I had same issue. After 30 rounds the drum broke in and it's been fine ever since.
  2. Tool? What tool? I use a Quarter. Pushing that little nub of a dent pin could be an issue with fleshy fingers or short nails.
  3. The barrel MUST be removed first or have a licensed Gunsmith cut the barrel to stay legal.
  4. Seriously folks, I had a terrible fouling issue with a Swiss made .45 'Peacemaker' copy when using pure lead factory rounds. I tried everything from Lee Lead Puller to stainless and bronze brushes to REALLY nasty chemicals. The brushes tend to smear the Lead and the Lee puller ate screens on every use. Mercury worked great...but super poisonous when in a Lead amalgum. An Old Timer turned me on to the silverware cleaning clothes and I'll never use anything else and they're cheap. Clean your gun with your brushes or chemicals or whatever thoroughly....then run a Silver patch. You'll
  5. Just go to Wal-Mart and buy a Silver cleaning cloth. Cut into tight fitting patches and it will pull all the lead out and won't hurt the bore. There's no need for 'Tornado' brushes, drills, steel brushes, bronze brushes, corks, stoppers or chemicals.
  6. Two things are certain. Both MD Arms and Gunfixer have supplied us with well engineered and needed products. We should be thanking them both.
  7. There's a decent chance that pieces of plastic got into the threads and then got hot and solidified. Heat might help. Try heating the tube as it will expand upon heating as well as melting any plastic. Try birthday candle wax on the threads as it won't flash off as fast as oil.

  10. Leave it. Mine needed A+B . 10 minutes of my life with a fingernail file aint squat.
  11. I started a thread about these some time ago only to have the Mods pull it for 'Advertising' or some such bullshit. These shells will load but may not feed in the MD-20' LOA (Length Over All) is 2.365 They are devastating to reactive targets IE Mini beer kegs at 25 yards. They can be found for $8.00-$11.00 a box of 10 (And elsewhere cheaper than $8.00 but I cannot say where or that would be 'Advertising')
  12. It may also start cycling better as it gets more broke in. Try storing it with the bolt locked to the rear. Springs are never 'broken in' by compressing them. This is an idiotic old wives tale that goes against everything any engineer knows. Unless the Laws of Physics cease to exist in your world.
  13. Put the old stock back on and see how it cycles.
  14. If you forget to sign out just reset your firewall to throttle back the ping blocker to 'Access only' then reboot. On restart you will get the message 'THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA STORED ON C:, DO YOU WANT TO PROCEED? Check YES. When your PC starts (Actually IF it starts) reset Blaster to 100% and delete all Modems. Go to C: prompt and type in C:\FEEDBACK\INPUT\LOG and you'll see everything you've just screwed up.
  15. It was a Special Order or something in that genre. Pretty rare but not collector grade IMHO.
  16. It looks like a toy. Those plastic 'ears' holding the cover on WILL break if you fool with them. We shall see as to quality. That said, competition is a good thing as it keeps quality up and prices down. I'll hold out for a MD Arms double stack if I want an intermediate count ammunition feeding device.
  17. A red dot sight can be a great aid when hunting non moving small game with shot or larger game with slugs or Buck. For home defense you don't need one except for psychological effect....but you are already holding a shotgun so...
  18. The Navy and Coast Guard are getting away from Zinc based anti-sieze compounds for good reasons. I'll NEVER use it on anything ever again after seeing it fail miserably on 76mm AAA cannons and HF gear. The Copper based stuff (Koprcoat etc) works well on everything even if you immerse it in salt water. The Zinc based stuff has a petroleum agent making it unsuitable for firearm gas systems. Me? I use a Mil-Spec CLP on everything only because the Copper based stuff is impossible to get out of clothing.
  19. The cats over at www.akfiles.com have done some Galil safety mods. Check out the Gunsmithing and DIY section.
  20. With factory 5 round mag using correct gas setting and decent ammo my failure rate is Zero.
  21. Yep. That's what is needed. Folks, everybody that owns any firearm needs one or two. Just cut patches that fit the bure tightly (Preferably use a Jag) and it will pull lead, copper, whatever.
