  1. +1 If that is not a restricted export item, then you would certainly have some interested buyers here in the U.S.
  2. You as an enthusiast feel the need to defend Atlantic? From what? Customer expectations of included shipping and original stock availability? Then maybe while running defense you can manage to acknowledge where that expectation came from. I support Atlantic. In fact, I've supported Atlantic over the years with hundreds dollars of my hard earned wages. The truth is that I will likely swap out that stock with a collapsible AR style unit once my compliance options are figured out. Bottom line: I'll be satisfied with the Vepr 12 with or without shipping or an original furniture option, but
  3. Ignorant Ingrates? Seriously? You insult your own potential customers for bringing up a post made by Atlantic regarding shipping and original stock availability? That's some true genious at work there buddy.
  4. I'm going with that statement as the bottom line. The customer's choice will be honored. I was not particularly interested in swapping the OEM configuration stock on a 1/1000 shotgun with a Tapco in all it's un-original glory. But I decided to go with Atlantic anyway because the deposit was reasonable and they were the most well-established dealer to trust with my money on an unreleased firearm. I bought my first rifle from them. I bought my frist Saiga 12 from them. I now bought my first Vepr 12 from them. I would hope to see that they honor what they say and that I continue to be their c
  5. Heck yes, and Mississippi Auto Arms is offering a free package of crawfish boil with every order! * * Mississippi Auto Arms may not actually provide said crawfish boil and it absolutely will not hold your bolt open on the last round.
  6. Clearly, all is as it should be. Atlantic only promised free shipping on the pre-preorder, when you could not place an order, not on the post pre-preorder when you could place an order. The confusion lies on what your definition of preorder is. As in, when the pre-preorder begins and ends, and when the post preorder preempts the pre-preorder. Its a common source of confusion. .
  7. Whoever is first to offer genuine Molot folder assemblies for this is going to have a license to print money.
  8. I...don't want to work, I just want to bang on de drum all day...
  9. Right now its like looking at a can of generic beer. Sure, it will get the job done...
  10. I call dibs on a Punisher skull on an MD20!
  11. That is freakin wild! First Ive heard that such a thing existed. How much does something like that cost and what is the prep involved?
  12. Finally some decent pictures on the JG site. Thanks for the feedback everyone both good and bad. Website says only 12 left, make that 11.
  13. I know what youre saying about Century and all that, but for 529 I think I might have to roll the dice on this one. even if I have to fix it myself.
  14. They are on sale now for $529 shipped, so I am strongly interested in picking one up. Web searches suggest that this might be a Century built rifle due to the slantbreak description. I dont believe the picture is correct. Anyone bought one of these recently that can provide some pros and cons? The accessories include the bayo so is it safe to say there is a lug? Is the barrel US or chrome lined?
  15. Oh crap, another must have accessory for my S12... BTW, I am wondering when I can expect my extended rail order to ship and if there is a tracking number yet? I understand that they were expected to ship on such-n-such date, but it is almost X number of hours past that and I am still patiently waiting! Should I be worried?!! One of my emails, either the 4th or maybe 7th (?) didnt get a timely response. Can you drop whatever youre doing right now and figure out which ever one it was and answer it? Should I be worried?!! Can I get a discount? I know these are not actua
  16. Rusmilitary has some S12 stuff coming up for sale soon. http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/ak_accessories.htm
  17. I had to think about this one for a while! For the life of me I couldn't remember until I stopped trying. Then the lightbulb came on. I was browsing Atlanticfirearms.com, saw the sold out Tromix conversions, browsed around the web to here, and learned how to make my own.
  18. If all of your foregrips cant down then it is probably because the bottom lug for the screw threads is a bit oversized than normal. (as long as you make certain that is where it is making contact) No biggie. If it were me I would decide if it was better to squarely file some material off the bottom lug on the gas block (GB) as long as you maintain adequate threads on the GB, or file a bit off the inside of the rail, or a little off both until it fits perfect.
  19. Doesn't pass the smell test yet if you ask me. I think the Thai officials are more worried about the possible effect on tourism than truth.
  20. A crowded safe is a breeding ground for nicks, bumps, and scratches. The cushion that they provide alone is well worth the $5 for a silicone treated sock IMO.
  21. Well I'll be darned. Any man that would drink Schlitz in public is a friend of mine. Git er done!
  22. Having been fawning over my new VEPR for the past hour I would have to say that it could be the Cadillac of an AK. Or at least a shiny black Lincoln Continental. Better yet, make that a first generation Plymouth Fury! I shall name her "Christine."
  23. This might help explain things. http://howtobuildanaktyperifle.com/ There are variations on the tools and procedures. If you search around the web you will see what I am talking about.
  24. It would be hard to go wrong getting a good used SAR1, along with a spam can of 7.62x39 ammo. Careful though, AK's are addictive.
  25. Folks around here like to say "Don't mess with Texas." Looks like now days that saying should belong to the representatives of Montana and Rhode Island! They're the first ones with the balls to come out and draw that line in the sand against that socialist-Utopian vision of this mainstream media-elected administration. My hat's off to those guys and gals.
