I guess it depends on what you consider famous. I consider Audy Murphy (WWII) and Sgt Alvin York (WWI) famous soldiers, I consider Jimi Hendrix a entertainer that served in the military. JMO And yes I know that Murphy and York were not paratroopers, but there is famous, and then there is famous. I use them as an example of true fame.

If you have the factory gas plug, setting 2 is what you want for birdshot. Does your trigger group need some lube? Is there a spring or something out of place? I would look it over and see if everything looks good and put some lube on it and see if it improves. Let us know what it turns out to be will ya?

I was 16, stepbrother passed me a .22 semi auto rifle in the house, I asked if it was empty, he said yes and I pointed it at the ceiling and pulled the trigger to be on the safe side. bang, hole in ceiling. I patched it up so the old man could not tell and told stepbrother since he was part of it, if the old man found out he would kill us both. Literally. I have never taken another persons word since that a weapon was cleared and Im 50 now. -
Cobra made a lefty one for my shotty, it looks great and makes mag changes much quicker.

Actually its a shame that we even need the fight club in the first place. We are supposed to all be adults here, and should act as such. There is a thing called agreeing to disagree and let it go. If I want to fight, I have a wife that serves that purpose well. I would rather see people be held accountable for their words, and if the mods have to spank them with time outs, so be it. The "bad seeds" can make the rest of us look as bad as they to visitors or new people. Just my opinion of course.

I like the idea if it can be put into place without too much trouble. The only fly in the ointment I see is the fact that this is a Saiga forum, and might not be the best place for someones widow to come asking the value of the .30-30 deer rifle that was part of the collection in amongst the Saigas.

To each their own, but with that few of rounds I would remove the bolt carrier and just inspect everything. If everything looks clean, I would put a couple of dabs of lube in the bolt area where it rides in the groves, and call it good. Check the barrel and make sure it looks good to go. Pull a bore snake through it if you have one.

We are here with you both Shannon, for what little that is worth. -
I didnt vote for either one because I will not consider a magwell unless it will accommodate the MD20 drum.

Didn't he used to have a bolt-on unit? That is kind of what I was hoping for. The set up shown is really nice, but I was honestly looking for a little bling and that is too many changes for that to be honest.

Get a box of Silver Bear steel cased 12 gauge shells. They only come in 7 1/2 and 8 gauge these days, but they work great for the top round as they do not distort like plastic or paper shells will. That is what I use, and my 12 rd mag has been loaded on a closed bolt for months now and will load reliably.
